COMAC emergente en mercado Occidental

Airbus busca competitividad en mercados emergentes para el constructor chino COMAC. La compañía europea seguiría de cerca los avances del desarrollo asiático de aviones, que se encuentra cada vez más cerca de penetrar Occidente.

La entrada de China al mercado de aviones de pasajeros ya es una realidad para Occidente. La compañía china busca introducir los modelos representativos C919 y ARJ21. Principalmente, el Airbus A320neo y el Boeing 737 MAX se enfrentan a una mayor competencia ante el avance del constructor asiático chino que avizora un mayor poder de mercado.

Airbus habría lanzado una advertencia interna a sus colaboradores en Europa, demandando un esfuerzo para poder mejorar la performance industrial y así poder demorar el ingreso chino a un mercado históricamente dominado por la Unión Europea y Estados Unidos.

Uno de los aspectos que China está dispuesta a ofrecer por encima de las constructoras occidentales son los plazos de entrega. Si bien el C919 no ha logrado salir aún del mercado chino, la velocidad que puede alcanzar COMAC a la hora de proveer aviones es una de las mayores ventajas que podría tomar en su introducción. Para 2024, Airbus estimó la entrega de 700 aviones a clientes alrededor del mundo. Sin embargo, esa proyección podría no cumplirse en caso de mantener un bajo ritmo productivo como el registrado presuntamente en septiembre. Mientras tanto, COMAC aceleró gestiones en Brasil para abrir una primera puerta a Occidente, haciendo pie con el interés de la aerolínea Total Linhas Aéreas con sede en Curitiba (Paraná), que estaría culminando gestiones para incorporar tentativamente cuatro C919 hacia el 2025.

Airbus is seeking competitiveness in emerging markets for the Chinese manufacturer COMAC. The European company is reportedly closely following the progress of Asian aircraft development, which is increasingly closer to penetrating the West.

China’s entry into the passenger aircraft market is already a reality for the West. The Chinese company is seeking to introduce the representative C919 and ARJ21 models. Mainly, the Airbus A320neo and the Boeing 737 MAX face greater competition in the face of the advance of the Chinese Asian manufacturer that foresees greater market power.

Airbus has reportedly issued an internal warning to its collaborators in Europe, demanding an effort to improve industrial performance and thus delay Chinese entry into a market historically dominated by the European Union and the United States.

One of the aspects that China is willing to offer above Western manufacturers is delivery times. Although the C919 has not yet managed to leave the Chinese market, the speed that COMAC can achieve when supplying aircraft is one of the greatest advantages it could take in its introduction. By 2024, Airbus estimated the delivery of 700 aircraft to customers around the world. However, that projection could not be met if it maintains a low production rate such as the one allegedly registered in September. Meanwhile, COMAC accelerated efforts in Brazil to open a first door to the West, making a stand with the interest of the airline Total Linhas Aéreas based in Curitiba (Paraná), which would be finalizing efforts to tentatively incorporate four C919s by 2025.
