Gobierno anuló Decreto que permitía conectar Brasil-Malvinas
La normativa autorizada durante la Administración de Mauricio Macri consistía en unir São Paulo con escala intermedia en Córdoba con el archipiélago de las Islas Malvinas. El Gobierno derogó el decreto que le permitía a la empresa brasileña TAM Líneas Aéreas, actual LATAM Airlines Brasil, volar hacia las Islas Malvinas. La decisión fue oficializada en el Boletín Oficial a través del Decreto Nº112/2023, publicado el Martes 7 de Marzo de 2023 bajo la firma del Presidente Alberto Fernández, el Canciller Santiago Cafiero, y el Ministro de Transporte, Diego Giuliano. Según explicaron, «la prioridad del Poder Ejecutivo Nacional en lo relativo a la política nacional de conexión aérea (en relación al archipiélago) es la reanudación de los vuelos regulares directos desde el territorio continental argentino. Es por esto que se ha decidido dejar sin efecto la autorización concedida por el Decreto N°602/19; ello teniendo en especial consideración que en oportunidad de acordarse lo referidos servicios aéreos, también se acordó que los mismos serían mantenidos bajo revisión».
La normativa derogada, la cual fue autorizada el 30 de Agosto de 2019 y oficializada el 2 de Septiembre del mismo año, le permitía a la aerolínea TAM Linhas Aéreas llevar a cabo servicios regulares internacionales de transporte aéreo de pasajeros, carga y correo en diferentes rutas: São Paulo/GRU—Puerto Argentino/Port Stanley/PSY—São Paulo/GRU, São Paulo/GRU—Córdoba/COR—Puerto Argentino/Port Stanley/PSY—São Paulo/GRU y São Paulo/GRU—Puerto Argentino/Port Stanley/PSY—Córdoba/COR—São Paulo/GRU.
Las rutas habían sido negociadas durante la gestión del anterior Presidente Mauricio Macri y comunicaban todos los Miércoles el Aeropuerto Internacional de Guarulhos con el Mount Pleasant. La escala mensual en Córdoba estaba respaldada bajo motivos de interés general. La conexión entre Brasil y las Islas Malvinas tardó años en concretarse, pues comenzó a operar el 20 de Noviembre de 2019 y poco después, en Marzo de 2020, se suspendió a partir de las restricciones de vuelo y cierre de aeropuertos por la pandemia de Coronavirus.
Fue el Gobierno británico de las islas quien en su momento interrumpió esa ruta junto a otra que funcionaba desde 1999: los vuelos de LATAM Airlines Chile que salían todos los Sábados desde Punta Arenas/PUQ hasta Port Stanley/PSY, con una escala mensual en Río Gallegos/RLG.
En consecuencia, los 3.000 habitantes del archipiélago quedaron desconectados durante más de dos años, por lo que la rehabilitación de los vuelos se volvió una necesidad. En aquel momento, el Gobierno argentino intentó aprovechar esta situación para lograr que los isleños acepten vuelos operados por Aerolíneas Argentinas con escala en Buenos Aires, pero las solicitudes no habían prosperado.

Government annulled decree allowed connecting Brazil-Malvinas
The authorized regulations during the administration of Mauricio Macri consisted of joining São Paulo with intermediate scale in Córdoba with the Malvinian Islands archipelago. The Government repealed the decree that allowed the Brazilian company TAM Airlines, current LATAM Airlines Brazil, fly to the Falkland Islands. The decision was formalized in the Official Gazette through Decree No. 112/2023, published on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 under the signing of President Alberto Fernández, Foreign Minister Santiago Cafiero, and the Minister of Transportation, Diego Giuliano. As they explained, «the priority of the National Executive Power in relation to the National Air Connection Policy (in relation to the archipelago) is the resumption of direct regular flights from the Argentine continental territory. This is why it has been decided to leave without effect The authorization granted by Decree No. 602/19; this having especially consideration that in the opportunity to remember the aforementioned air services, it was also agreed that they would be maintained under review».
The repealed regulations, which was authorized on August 30, 2019 and formalized on September 2 of the same year, allowed the airline TAM Linhas Aéreos to carry out international regular services for passenger air transport, load and mail on different routes on different routes: São Paulo/GRU—Puerto Argentino/Port Stanley/PSY—São Paulo/GRU, São Paulo/GRU—Córdoba/COR—Puerto Argentino/Port Stanley/PSY—São Paulo/GRU and São Paulo/GRU—Puerto Argentino/Port Stanley/PSY—Córdoba/COR—São Paulo/GRU.
The routes had been negotiated during the management of the previous President Mauricio Macri and communicated every Wednesday the Guarulhos International Airport with the Mount pleasant. The monthly scale in Córdoba was backed under reasons of general interest. The connection between Brazil and the Falkland Islands took years to be completed, as it began operating on November 20, 2019 and shortly after, in March 2020, it was suspended from the flight restrictions and closing airports by the Coronavirus pandemic .
It was the British Government of the Islands who at the time interrupted that route next to another that worked since 1999: the flights of LATAM Airlines Chile that left every Saturday from Punta Arenas/PUQ to Port Stanley/PSY, with a monthly scale in Rio GALLEGOS/RLG.
Consequently, the 3,000 inhabitants of the archipelago were disconnected for more than two years, so the rehabilitation of the flights became a need. At that time, the Argentine government tried to take advantage of this situation to get the islanders to accept flights operated by Aerolíneas Argentinas with a scale in Buenos Aires, peer the requests had not thrown out.
