Aerolíneas Argentinas ha programado seis vuelos especiales para la primera etapa y un programa de nuevos vuelos que se irían confirmando a medida que el equipo de la Selección de Futbol Argentina avance hacia las siguientes fase de clasificación. Tras la derrota de la Selección, ambas expresaron que las búsquedas para viajar hacia Qatar están, claramente, más bajas que días anteriores. Air Serbia reiniciará ruta Belgrado—Chicago después de 30 años
La aerolínea Air Serbia ha anunciado planes para reanudar los vuelos entre Belgrado/BEG y Chicago/ORD después de treinta años. La aerolínea de bandera serbia lanzará un servicio con dos frecuencias semanales (2Frq/S) a partir del 17 de Mayo de 2023, aumentando a tres vuelos por semana a partir del 12 de Junio del próximo año. Virgin Atlantic Airways ha anunciado nuevos servicios a las Maldivas y las Islas Turcas y Caicos para el invierno de 2023. Breeze Airways aims to add international flights to the network
The American low-cost airline Breeze Airways is studying to implement flights to foreign markets. After rapidly increasing its domestic flight offerings since its launch in May 2021, the low-cost carrier is now aiming to take passengers a little further afield. Earlier in November 2022, Breeze Commercial Director Lukas Johnson said that the airline is working to obtain Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval to operate flights outside the United States. «We are in the process with the FAA of adding flag operations», Johnson said at the Skift Aviation Forum in Dallas on November 16, 2022. If Breeze Airways does obtain certification for what the FAA calls «flag operations,» the airline could fly outside the contiguous forty-eight states to Alaska, Hawaii, and international destinations.
A Breeze spokesperson confirmed the airline is planning international service, but said FAA certifications take time, so it’s too early to say when the airline might start operating foreign flights and where they would fly. However, the timing is interesting considering Breeze is the brainchild of JetBlue Airways founder David Neeleman, and low-cost competitor JetBlue is currently in the midst of an international expansion of its own, having recently announced it will add Paris to its flight list after introducing flights to London in 2021.
Breeze Airways’ international aspirations follow a year and a half of rapid expansion in the United States. After flying in May 2021 from 16 destinations, mostly in the eastern and southeastern United States, Breeze now has a network spanning 106 nonstop routes between 35 cities in 20 states, including flights between the East and West coasts for just US$ 104 each way.
The airline operates a fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft equipped with 36 first class seats in a two-by-two configuration and 90 economy seats in a two-by-three layout. Andes Líneas Aéreas ha anunciado la conexión de vuelos charters a Cuba desde cuatro ciudades argentinas como parte de los esfuerzos por reiniciar las operaciones aéreas.
