Aerolíneas Argentinas ha anunciado que se encuentra incorporando dos frecuencias adicionales a Esquel, Provincia de Chubut, Argentina, como parte del incremento de demanda para este destino. El destino Esquel sumará dos frecuencias los días Sábados pasando de seis vuelos a siete frecuencias semanales (7Frq/S). El Secretario de Turismo de la Municipalidad de Esquel, Gustavo Simieli, informó que la ciudad cordillerana contará los días Sábados con dos vuelos que unirán Esquel/EQS—Buenos Aires/Jorge Newbery/AEP. El factor de ocupación de los vuelos en la ruta entre Buenos Aires y Esquel y viceversa tienen una ocupación del 85%.
Incursión low cost
Además, la semana que viene se mantendrá una reunión con Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 para gestionar la llegada de alguna low cost al Aeropuerto de Esquel. «Esto es muy importante para la conectividad aérea; necesitamos más. Una de ellas, anunciada anteriormente es Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas, decidida a conectar España con Buenos Aires a través de sus aeropuertos internacionales, compromiso que implementarían a partir de 2024. Fundada en 2011 y con una flota de seis aviones Airbus 330 (6) y un Airbus 340 (1), a los que se sumarán dos más en unos meses dos aviones más. La aerolínea tiene su hub en Madrid y vuela hacia Bogotá, Caracas, Cartagena de Indias, Lima y Tenerife actualmente.

Aerolínea española Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas ha anunciado la intención de incorporar una nueva ruta entre Madrid/MAD—Buenos Aires/EZE a partir de 2024.La aerolínea Plus Ultra tiene proyectado iniciar sus operaciones regulares entre Madrid y Buenos Aires para el año próximo, según lo informó Gibson Preziuso, Director de Marketing de la compañía aérea española, tras una reunión con el titular del Instituto Nacional de Promoción Turística (Inprotur), Ricardo Sosa, durante la feria FITUR 2023 que se está llevando a cabo en la Ciudad de Madrid, España.
En la reunión Preziuso le expresó a Sosa el interés por volar a la Argentina: “Estamos consolidando las rutas que tenemos este año, y seguramente para el 2024 estaremos con los proyectos de nuevas rutas y la Argentina estará en ese proyecto. Es importante continuar las conversaciones con las distintas áreas para que esto se haga realidad. Para el crecimiento del turismo receptivo es fundamental tener más asientos y aerolíneas que vengan a nuestro país”.
El acuerdo debería encaminarse entre las autoridades de los respectivos países, pero los directivos de la empresa adelantaron el interés de explotar la ruta aérea hacia Sudamérica.
“En reuniones de la feria de turismo en Anato logramos que Viva Air viaje a la Argentina y ahora buscamos más como Plus Ultra. De esta manera se busca incrementar la oferta aérea entre España y la Argentina. Durante 2022, arribaron a la Argentina 137.000 turistas españoles, lo que significa casi un 70% de recuperación con los niveles de la pre-pandemia. Somos optimistas de lograr un crecimiento este 2023 del turismo receptivo y por eso estamos en FITUR reuniéndonos con aerolíneas y teniendo importantes acuerdos y avances para la promoción y el aumento de conectividad”, expresó el Director de Marketing.

Aerolíneas Argentinas presentó en la Feria Internacional de Turismo de Madrid (FITUR 2023) su nueva programación de vuelos a Madrid y Roma como parte del incremento de frecuencias hacia Europa tras la reapertura del tráfico aéreo pos-pandemia. El anuncio establece un aumento de la presencia de Aerolíneas en las principales rutas hacia la península ibérica e itálica.
La ampliación de vuelos a Madrid, la compañía llevará sus vuelos de siete frecuencias semanales a nueve frecuencias semanales (9Frq/S) desde Abril 2023 y luego, a partir de Julio 2023, se sumarán otras tres frecuencias totalizando así doce vuelos por semana, operando un doble vuelo diario con excepción de Miércoles y Domingo. Las partidas desde Madrid a Buenos Aires serán al día siguiente. Actualmente, la compañía argentina posee un acuerdo de código compartido con Air Europa que conecta Bilbao, La Coruña, Vigo, Gran Canarias, Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona, Londres y Lisboa con el vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas desde Madrid-Barajas/MAD.
La nueva programación de vuelos a Roma/FCO contará con una nueva frecuencia en Abril 2023, pasando de tres a cuatro frecuencias semanales (4Frq/S) y sumará una quinta (5Frq/S) hacia Julio 2023. De esta manera, Aerolíneas contará con cinco frecuencias semanales partiendo desde Buenos Aires/Ezeiza/EZE los Martes, Jueves, Viernes, Sábado y Domingo con regresos desde Roma/Fiumicino/FCO a los siguientes días respectivamente.
El Ministro de Turismo y Deportes de Argentina, Matías Lammens, destacó: «Esta es una de las grandes noticias que anunciamos en FITUR: el aumento de frecuencias semanales hacia nuestro país nos permite impulsar el turismo receptivo en dos de los destinos más importantes de Europa. Aerolíneas Argentinas es un aliado estratégico para apuntalar la llegada de turistas, lo que redunda en el ingreso de divisas y en la generación de empleo para nuestro país».

Por lo que esta ampliación de la oferta es una invitación para que visiten la Argentina”.
Los arribos de Madrid y Roma permiten la conexión con tiempos mínimos con los vuelos domésticos que salen de Ezeiza a Mendoza, Córdoba, Ushuaia, El Calafate, entre otros destinos. Aerolíneas Argentinas cerró 2022 con 11.670.000 pasajeros transportados y apunta durante 2023 a superar el récord de 13 millones de pasajeros. Actualmente opera treinta y ocho destinos domésticos, cuarenta y ocho rutas interprovinciales y veintiún destinos internacionales.

Aerolíneas estadounidenses fortalecen conexión con Argentina
Delta Air Lines presentó una solicitud oficial al Departamento de Transporte de los Estados Unidos (DOT), para operar un vuelo diario y directo entre Nueva York y Buenos Aires. Esta solicitud confirma el interés de la aerolínea para reforzar sus operaciones con Argentina ampliando las conexiones con nuevas rutas a la existente que conecta Atlanta/ATL—Buenos Aires/EZE.
La aerolínea con sede en Atlanta, Georgia (GA), Estados Unidos, ha expresado: “Como siempre, buscamos construir nuestros horarios de vuelo y nuestra red en torno a los lugares donde nuestros clientes quieren volar. Esperamos recibir la aprobación de esta solicitud para permitir el servicio sin escalas de Delta en esta importante ruta”.
Esta estrategia de Delta continua la línea de American Airlines que en Diciembre 2022 aumentó sus frecuencias entre Miami/MIA y Buenos Aires/EZE a tres frecuencias diarias (3Frq/D), contando así con veintiún vuelos semanales (21Frq/S). Este incremento se suma a las frecuencias que tiene la compañía entre Nueva York/JFK y Dallas/DFW con Buenos Aires/EZE.
Este interés que muestran las compañías estadounidenses en Argentina llega en un momento de crecimiento de la conectividad internacional del país sudamericano. En este contexto, las principales compañías aéreas de Estados Unidos continúan recuperando su operación pre-pandemia hacia Argentina y centrando su atención en las oportunidades de este mercado en Sudamérica.
Delta requests Argentine routes
American airlines strengthen connection to Argentina
Delta Air Lines submitted an official application to the United States Department of Transportation (DOT), to operate a daily and direct flight between New York and Buenos Aires. This request confirms the interest of the airline to reinforce its operations with Argentina by expanding the connections with new routes to the existing one that connects Atlanta/ATL—Buenos Aires/EZE.
The Atlanta-based airline, Georgia (GA), United States, has expressed: “As always, we seek to build our flight schedules and our network around the places where our customers want to fly. We hope to receive the approval of this request to allow Delta’s non -scales on this important route”.
This Delta strategy continues the American Airlines line that in December 2022 increased its frequencies between Miami/Mia and Buenos Aires/EZE to three daily frequencies (3Frq/D), thus counting with twenty-one weekly flights (21Frq/S). This increase adds to the frequencies that the company has between New York/JFK and Dallas/DFW with Buenos Aires/EZE.
This interest shown by US companies in Argentina comes at a time of growth in the international connectivity of the South American country. In this context, the main airlines in the United States continue to recover their pre-pandemic operation towards Argentina and focus their attention on the opportunities of this market in South America.

JetSMART Chile aumenta frecuencias hacia RIO/Galeão
La aerolínea low cost JetSMART Airlines Chile ha anunciado la incorporación de más frecuencias en la ruta Santiago de Chile/SCL—Río de Janeiro/GIG, acoplando con el aumento de la frecuencia de vuelos entre Buenos Aires/EZE—Rio de Janeiro/GIG, ambos anunciados para el cronograma de 02/2023. Los nuevos vuelos tendrán una frecuencia diaria (1Frq/D) entre Santiago de Chile y Río de Janeiro comienzan a operar a partir del 8 de Febrero de 2023. JetSMART Airlines Chile actualmente realiza seis operaciones semanales para Río de Janeiro con aviones Airbus A320NEO/A321NEO, configurados para 186 y 240 pasajeros respectivamente.
Actualmente, los destinos regulares de JetSMART Airlines Chile en Brasil son hacia Río de Janeiro y Foz do Iguaçu. Hacia Marzo 2023 la aerolínea reducirá sus frecuencias con cinco vuelos semanales (5Frq/S) en la ruta Santiago/SCL—Rio Janeiro/GIG. Aerolíneas refuerza el plan de vuelos a Esquel en Febrero 2023
El Secretario de Turismo de Esquel, Gustavo Simieli, confirmó que durante el mes de Febrero 2023 Aerolíneas Argentinas sumará un vuelo de refuerzo desde Buenos Aires al Aeropuerto Esquel. Actualmente, a aerolínea posee cinco frecuencias semanales (5Frq/S) los Domingos, Lunes, Miércoles, Jueves, Viernes. El vuelo adicional de refuerzo se incorpora los días Sábados, pasando a operar seis frecuencias semanales (6Frq/S).
El Ministro de Turismo de la Provincia de Chubut, Leonardo Gaffet, junto al Secretario de Turismo de Esquel continuarán las gestiones ante las necesidades como el aumento de frecuencias y el cambio de horarios de los vuelos para mejores las conexiones con otras provincias. “Estamos con algunas reuniones pendientes con el Ministro Leonardo Gaffet porque tenemos que encarar fuertemente las gestiones con Aerolíneas para poder conseguir mayor cantidad de vuelos. Para febrero ya tenemos confirmados dos vuelos los días sábados pero necesitamos más, estamos con una gran demanda”, expresó Gustavo Simieli.
La demanda de más vuelos está relacionada con el incremento del flujo de tráfico aéreo de casi el 45% de los visitantes que llegan a Esquel provienen de la Provincia de Buenos Aires.

The Minister of Tourism of the Province Chubut, Leonardo Gaffet, together with the Secretary of Tourism of Esquel will continue the efforts to the needs such as the increase in frequencies and the change of flight schedules for better connections with other provinces. “We are with some pending meetings with Minister Leonardo Gaffet because we have to strongly face the efforts with airlines to get more flights. For February we have already confirmed two flights on Saturdays but we need more, we are with great demand”, said Gustavo Simieli.
The demand for more flights is related to the increase in the air traffic flow of almost 45% of visitors arriving in Esquel come from the province of Buenos Aires.

Aerolínea canadiense inicia vuelos a Varadero, Cuba
La aerolínea canadiense de bajo costo Swoop Airlines comenzará a volar hacia el Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Gualberto Gómez de Varadero/VRA, Cuba. El primer vuelo está programado para el próximo 11 de Enero a las 12:30 p.m. El arribo de Swoop a la terminal aérea sobrepasará la marca de las quince aerolíneas que operan nen la aeroestación informó el Sábado 07/01 la Corporación de la Aviación Cubana (CACSA).
Las rutas directas desde Toronto Pearson International Airport/YYZ al Aeropuerto Internacional Juan Gualberto Gómez/VRA iniciarán el Miércoles 11 de Enero de 2023, con un vuelo inaugural previsto para las 12:30 p.m. empleando aeronaves Boeing 737-800/737-8 MAX. La línea aérea comenzará sus operaciones en la actual temporada de alza turística en Cuba, cuando el flujo de viajeros aumenta considerablemente.
La Jefe de Distribución y Ventas de la aerolínea, Tia McGrath, aseguró a finales de Agosto 2022 que Swoop ampliaría su programación de invierno con nuevas rutas y un nuevo servicio low cost, con tarifas a partir de CA$ 189 Dólares canadienses por trayecto. En esa ocasión, Tia McGrath aseguró que estaban “encantados de anunciar nuestra expansión en el Caribe, añadiendo Varadero a nuestra creciente lista de destinos vacacionales». Los vuelos de la compañía, destinados al turismo de su país que viaja a vacacionar a la capital cubana, se han extendido también a los aeropuertos internacionales de Varadero, Cayo Coco, Santa Clara, Camagüey y Holguín.
Impulso turístico
Canadá es el principal emisor de turistas hacia Cuba, y según su embajador, Geoff Gartshore, en esta temporada se espera una cifra cercana al millón de visitantes, principalmente en los polos turísticos de Varadero y Guardalavaca. Swoop Airlines, considerada una aerolínea de ultra bajo costo, comenzará los viajes al aeropuerto situado en Varadero, durante el alza turística cubana, momento en que la Isla registra los principales flujos de viajeros. Varadero, que cubre la estrecha península cubana de Hicacos, es una popular ciudad turística de playa. A lo largo de sus 20 km de costa del Océano Atlántico hay una serie de complejos hoteleros y de spa con todo incluido, y un campo de golf. Cerca del extremo oriental de la península se encuentra la Reserva Ecológica Varahicacos, una reserva con senderos y una antigua cueva funeraria. Parque Josone es un parque con un estanque y jardines.
El Juan Gualberto Gómez constituye el segundo aeropuerto más importante del país por su nivel de operaciones, después del José Martí, situado en La Habana. Según cifras oficiales publicadas por la estatal Oficina Nacional de Estadística e Información (ONEI), entre Enero y Noviembre fueron recibidos en Cuba 1.377.253 turistas. Para alcanzar la proyección del Gobierno (1.710.000), en Diciembre 2022 debieron visitar el país 332.747 extranjeros. Cuba recibió 1.122.122 turistas más que en el mismo período del año anterior, lo que representa un 587,6% de la cifra alcanzada en 2021 en plena pandemia. Sin embargo, no superan los más de cuatro millones de visitantes extranjeros que llegaron a la Isla en 2019.

Flybondi ha anunciado el restablecimiento de la ruta interprovincial Córdoba/COR—Salta/SLA hacia Marzo 2023 con tres frecuencias semanales (3Frq/S) los días Martes, Jueves y Domingo iniciando sus servicios a partir del 2 de Marzo de 2023. La conexión entre las ciudades de Córdoba y Salta, tendrá una frecuencia de tres vuelos semanales: saliendo de Córdoba, los días Martes desde las 10:55 y desde Salta a las 12:34 horas. Mientras que los Jueves, el vuelo saldrá de Córdoba a las 12:55 y desde el destino de Salta, a las 14:45 horas, y los Sábados sale desde Córdoba a las 13:10 y de Salta a las 15:00 horas.
