Incorpora ruta internacional a Venezuela

SATENA Airlines iniciará vuelos Bogotá/BOG—Caracas/CCS a partir del 3 de Marzo de 2023. El Presidente de Colombia, Gustavo Petro, confirmó que la aerolínea nacional iniciará la operación de vuelos hacia Caracas, la capital de Venezuela. Además, anunció que se evalúa llegar a otros países de Latinoamérica que podrían ser anunciado próximamente. “Cumpliendo con la promesa de transformar a SATENA en una aerolínea internacional, desde este Viernes 3 de Marzo entran en operación dos rutas hacia Venezuela. Próximamente otros destinos de Latinoamérica”, escribió el Presidente en su cuenta de Twitter. Este es el primer vuelo internacional de SATENA en su historia.

La ruta será operada con una frecuencia de dos veces a la semana (2Frq/S) los Martes y Viernes con Embraer E145. SATENA ha anunciado en Enero 2023 la incorporación de nueva flota de aviones para operar ese trayecto internacional. Los pasajes aéreos se encuentran disponibles a partir del 11/02. Los valores de los tickets varían desde los US$ 250 hasta US$ 466 Dólares por cada trayecto. Los tiquetes para inaugurar este trayecto internacional en Pesos colombianos van desde COL$ 1.105.285 que incluye un equipaje de 15 kilogramos y de 5 kg para el equipaje de mano.

En el caso de Venezuela, la aerolínea que realiza la ruta entre las capitales de Colombia y Venezuela es Trupial Airlines, que tiene vuelos los Lunes, Jueves y Sábados, que tienen un costo de alrededor de US$ 230 Dólares por trayecto, tanto de ida como de vuelta. Actualmente, existe la oferta de rutas de aerolíneas más grandes que conectan Colombia y Venezuela pero que cuentan con al menos una escala para un trayecto de menos de tres horas de duración.

SATENA (Servicio Aéreo a Territorios Nacionales), fue creada en 1962 como una entidad adscrita a la Fuerza Aérea Colombiana con el objetivo de operar vuelos al interior del país para proveer el servicio en las zonas que no eran cubiertas por las aerolíneas privadas. Desde su inicio ha sido la única aerolínea estatal con la obligación de llegar a lugares que, por condiciones geográficas, orden público o pobreza, no tenían el servicio de otros operadores. El objetivo era integrar esas regiones al resto del país por el servicio aéreo.

Sin embargo, el presidente Petro anunció que se continúa trabajando en ampliar el portafolio de línea aérea a más destinos internacionales diferentes a Caracas, y dentro del territorio latinoamericano. Estos serían anunciados próximamente mientras se continúa en los procesos para fortalecer la aerolínea. SATENA Airlines vuela en la actualidad a 37 destinos en 19 departamentos de Colombia con su único destino internacional en Caracas, Venezuela. Su flota está compuesta por siete aviones ATR 42 (7) con capacidad para 48 pasajeros, dos ATR 72 (2) de mayor porte y dos aeronaves jet Embraer ERJ-145 (2). La edad promedio de las aeronaves es de 14,4 años. Se espera incorporar dos aviones turboprop ATR 42 adicionales para ampliar la flota de la compañía aérea colombiana.

The tickets to inaugurate this international route in Colombian Pesos range from COL$ 1,105,285 that includes a 15 kilogram luggage and 5 kg for hand luggage.

In the case of Venezuela, the airline that makes the route between the capitals of Colombia and Venezuela is Trupial Airlines, which has flights on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, which have a cost of around US$ 230 Dollars per route, both first leg like back. These would be announced soon while continuing in the processes to strengthen the airline. SATENA Airlines currently flies to 37 destinations in 19 departments of Colombia with its only international destination in Caracas, Venezuela. Its fleet is composed of seven ATR 42 (7) aircraft with capacity for 48 passengers, two at ATR 72 (2) of greater size and two E-145 Jet (2) aircraft. The average age of aircraft is 14.4 years. It is expected to incorporate two additional Turboprop ATR 42 aircraft to expand the fleet of the Colombian airline.
