Ayer oficializó la búsqueda de personal administrativo para instalarse en el país. Además de la ruta Buenos Aires – Londres, ofrecerá vuelos de cabotaje y regionales. Gestiona más de un centenenar de servicios

Norwegian Airlines es una de las aerolínas low cost más importantes del mundo. Y ayer dio un paso importante en su aterrizaje en Argentina. Su consejo de Administración aprobó el inicio del plan operativo de la filial local y la contratación de personal en el país. Ahora, la firma de origen escandinavo se prepara para pedir nuevas rutas internacionales y de cabotaje al Gobierno.

La aerolínea fue noticia meses atrás, cuando adelantó que se preparaba para conectar Buenos Aires y Londres con un vuelo de 400 dólares. En el modelo de negocios low cost, el pasaje cubrirá el asiento, y los adicionales (equipaje, comidas, etcétera) se cobrarían aparte.

Norwegian gestiona ante la Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC) entre 130 y 150 rutas de cabotaje y regionales. Los pasos burocráticos son lentos. Los primeros vuelos comenzarían hacia fin de año.

La aerolínea se alista para participar de la próxima audiencia pública, en la que el Ministerio de Transporte intentará expandir los vuelos. Según el ministro Guillermo Dietrich, la audiencia se desarrollará en junio o julio, una vez que la ANAC reúna «masa crítica», es decír, una cantidad importante de interesados en ofrecer servicios.

“Argentina es un mercado interesante con un gran potencial, algo que encaja muy bien con la estrategia global de Norwegian, que combina tarifas accesibles tanto en vuelos domésticos como internacionales.
