 Delta ha llegado a un acuerdo con Airbus ampliando sus pedidos de A321 al tiempo que retrasa la llegada de parte de sus A350

La aerolínea estadounidense Delta Air Lines ha ampliado hasta 112 el número de pedidos de Airbus A321CEO con la firma de un nuevo contrato por 30 aviones más al tiempo que ha llegado a un acuerdo para retrasar en al menos dos o tres años la entrega de 10 de los 25 A350-900 que tiene pedidos.

Delta tiene previsto recibir estos Airbus A321 hasta el año 2021, con un número muy importante de ellos montados en la factoría de Mobile (Alabama, EE.UU.) De los 19 A321 que Delta ha recibido desde marzo de 2016 de estos 112 pedidos, cinco han sido montados en Mobile.

Por lo que a los A350-900 respecta, el acuerdo entre la aerolínea y el fabricante contempla que la entrega de 10 de los 25 aviones pedidos se retrasará de los años 2019 y 2020 a entre 2021 y 2023, con opción para Delta de cambiar de nuevo las fechas de entrega.

El primer A350 de Delta está ya en fase de montaje en Toulouse, para ser entregado en septiembre, teniendo Delta previsto hacer el primer vuelo comercial con el mismo en el último trimestre del año. Aunque todavía no se ha hecho público el primer destino de largo radio del modelo, Delta sí ha anunciado que usará los A350 principalmente en las rutas hacia Asia.

US Airline Delta Air Lines has extended the number of Airbus A321 orders to 112 with the signing of a new contract for 30 more aircraft while it has reached an agreement to delay in at least two or three years the delivery of 10 The 25 A350-900 that has orders.

The first Delta A350 is already being assembled in Toulouse, to be delivered in September, with Delta scheduled to make the first commercial flight with it in the last quarter of the year. Although the model’s first long-haul destination has not yet been made public, Delta has announced that it will use the A350s mainly on routes to Asia.  A \ W
