Flybondi, el proyecto para establecer la primera aerolínea low cost argentina, cerró el contrato de leasing por su primer Boeing 737-800, y se encuentra en conversaciones para garantizar una flota de hasta 10 aeronaves de ese modelo para el período 2017-2018.

Flybondi todavía espera que el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación le otorgue las rutas solicitadas en la audiencia pública del pasado 27 de diciembre. De las 99 pedidas, 78 habían obtenido dictamen favorable de la Junta Asesora del Transporte Aéreo en febrero, pero el gobierno nacional dictaminó el 6 de marzo que las mismas no serían otorgadas hasta que la compañía presente los contratos de leasing de las aeronaves que planea incorporar. Hasta entonces Flybondi todavía no había confirmado con qué tipo de aeronaves volaría.

Algunos días después, el 14 de marzo, la compañía informó que se había decidido por aeronaves Boeing 737-800 con capacidad para 189 pasajeros, para lo cual estaba cerrando un contrato de soporte técnico con Boeing.

En una reunión con la prensa el pasado 30 de marzo en sus oficinas de Puerto Madero, desde la compañía aseguraron que en 30 o 60 días más habría novedades al respecto, por lo que esta noticia llega dentro de los plazos informados.

Durante todo este tiempo Flybondi ha avanzado en el proceso de incorporación de personal gerencial y administrativo, mientras que ya ha comenzado la búsqueda y selección de tripulaciones. Cuando empiece a volar la compañía debería tener alrededor de 300 empleados.

In a meeting with the press on March 30 in their offices in Puerto Madero, from the company said that in 30 or 60 days more would have news about it, so this news comes within the deadlines reported.
