Pawa Dominicana presentan planes de expansión de la aerolínea

Simeón García, presidente del Consejo de Administración de la aerolínea, encabezó la comitiva que visitó al primer mandatario para conversar sobre el estatus actual de operación de la aerolínea bandera dominicana y sus proyecciones en el mercado dominicano.

Santo Domingo, República Dominicana · Los principales ejecutivos de Pawa Dominicana realizaron una visita al presidente Danilo Medina en el Palacio Nacional, en la que discutieron los planes de expansión y crecimiento de la empresa aeronáutica, así como su estatus actual e inversiones en el mercado dominicano.

Simeón García, presidente del Consejo de Administración, encabezó la comitiva de la aerolínea, que estuvo también integrada por Gary Stone, presidente ejecutivo; Víctor Casado, director general de Administración y Finanzas; y Alexander Barrios, director de Asuntos Corporativos de Pawa Dominicana.

Durante el encuentro, los ejecutivos le expusieron al mandatario los avances de sus operaciones aéreas al aproximarse a su segundo año, así como el gran potencial de crecimiento con que cuenta la región y que Pawa Dominicana quiere seguir explotando, como lo ha venido haciendo hasta la fecha, con el firme objetivo de convertir el Aeropuerto Internacional de Las Américas José Francisco Peña Gómez (AILA) en el hub del Caribe, lo que permitirá la conectividad directa con los demás países de la región, no solo en términos turísticos, sino también en términos comerciales.

García y Stone enfatizaron cómo en este corto tiempo han crecido de tres a ocho destinos, incluyendo San Juan de Puerto Rico y Miami, Florida; con un volumen de pasajeros transportados que supera los 200 mil durante los primeros 20 meses de operaciones.

Los ejecutivos señalaron también que Pawa Dominicana se ha logrado posicionar como una de las aerolíneas de mayor crecimiento interanual en toda Latinoamérica, con una presencia en el mercado que ha venido a incentivar el desarrollo de la aviación comercial en el país.
