Director de aerolínea LaMia se declarará culpable por el accidente del vuelo LMI2933

Gustavo Vargas Gamboa, directivo de esa compañía boliviana y que tiene prisión preventiva, aceptará los cargos de homicidio culposo por la tragedia que dejó 71 muertos en noviembre pasado

El director de la aerolínea boliviana LaMia, Gustavo Vargas Gamboa, se declarará culpable en el delito de homicidio culposo por el accidente aéreo ocurrido en noviembre del año pasado, que le costó la vida a 71 personas, entre ellas casi la totalidad del plantel del Chapecoense brasileño. Según el diario El Deber de Bolivia, este anuncio fue realizado por el abogado de Vargas Gamboa, quien tiene detención preventiva desde diciembre del año pasado. La decisión del directivo se debe a sus problemas de salud que lo aquejan.

El Ministerio Público aún no ha respondido a la propuesta de la defensa de Vargas Gamboa mientras las investigaciones continúan. El avión de LaMia, en el que viajaban futbolistas y dirigentes del club brasileño de fútbol Chapecoense desde Bolivia hasta Colombia, se estrelló el pasado 28 de noviembre en un cerro cerca de Medellín, tras quedarse sin combustible.
