Level lanza el primer vuelo directo entre Barcelona y Santiago de Chile

Level Airlines realiza su primer vuelo sin escalas entre Barcelona y Santiago de Chile. El primer vuelo directo entre Barcelona y Santiago de Chile ha despegado este domingo de la capital catalana operado por la aerolínea de bajo coste y largo recorrido Level, la única que ofrece esta ruta sin escalas. El vuelo ha despegado a las 11:05 horas del Aeropuerto Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat y ha sido inaugurado por el Director General de la compañía, Vincent Hodder, quien ha explicado que esperan transportar alrededor de 2.000 pasajeros mensuales en esta ruta.

El directivo ha señalado que Level ofrecerá inicialmente el trayecto dos veces por semana, pero la previsión es que a finales de julio la frecuencia aumente hasta los cuatro vuelos semanales, consiguiendo así democratizar este viaje de largo radio. Hodder ha afirmado que la demanda de este vuelo es mayor en Chile que en España por la relevancia de «las raíces históricas entre ambos países, la cultura y el idioma», pero se ha mostrado convencido de que esta ruta incrementará el número de visitantes españoles al país sudamericano.

Expansión futura

La aerolínea low cost incorporará para Julio 2019 inaugurar también una nueva ruta Barcelona-Nueva York (JFK), que comenzará con tres vuelos semanales. El director ejecutivo ha garantizado además que la empresa tiene muchos más planes para enlazar Barcelona directamente con otros destinos, entre los cuales están estudiando opciones en Asia, Estados Unidos, Canadá y América Latina.

Level comenzó a operar en el Aeropuerto de El Prat en Junio 2017 y, desde entonces, ha transportado a unos 500.000 pasajeros con una flota de tres Airbus A330-200, a la que se sumará una aeronave más a lo largo de este año. Los planes de la empresa para Barcelona pasan por aumentar la frecuencia de vuelos a San Francisco, que en julio se incrementarán hasta los tres trayectos semanales, y mantener los tres vuelos por semana a Boston y los ocho a Buenos Aires.

American Airlines cancela operaciones en República de Venezuela

American Airlines ha comunicado su decisión de cancelar sus operaciones entre Estados Unidos y Venezuela, medida que ya había adelantado de forma temporal desde el pasado 15 Marzo 2019 por motivos de seguridad. El comunicado oficial expresa: “Hemos tomado la difícil decisión de suspender indefinidamente el servicio a Venezuela. Continuaremos supervisando la situación y trabajando también con los miembros de nuestro equipo, los líderes sindicales y otras partes clave interesadas a reiniciar los servicios cuando las condiciones sean las adecuadas”, señaló la compañía, con sede en Fort Worth (Texas), y detalló que la medida se hizo efectiva de inmediato.

American Airlines, cubría la ruta Miami-Caracas y Miami-Maracaibo, argumentó que desde el pasado 15 Marzo 2019, cuando dio a conocer la suspensión temporal de operaciones hacia el país suramericano, estuvo trabajando para reestablecer el servicio.

American es una aerolínea con una amplia trayectoria en el país sudamericano con más de 30 años en Venezuela, confirma que fue una decisión difícil decisión levantar la escala. La aerolínea se encuentra trabajando para asistir al equipo y buscar otras oportunidades.

American Airlines era la única aerolínea estadounidense de gran envergadura que continuaba con operaciones a Venezuela desde Miami, después de que United Airlines y Delta Air Lines suspendiesen el servicio en 2017. Muchas compañías desde esa fecha han cancelado operaciones comerciales de manera indefinida, entre ellas: Avianca, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Aerolíneas Argentinas, Aeroméxico, Latam Airlines, Lufthansa, Air Canada, Alitalia, Tame Airlines y recientemente, American Airlines. En tanto las líneas aéreas que continúan volando son: Copa Airlines, Air France, Iberia, Aruba Airlines, Caribbean Airlines, Wingo Airlines y TAP Portugal. En el grupo de aerolíneas venezolanas figuran: Avior Airlines, Estelar Airlines, entre otras con dificultades financieras.

EasyJet reabre su base estacional en Palma de Mallorca, España

La compañía británica easyJet reabrirá por tercer año consecutivo su base estacional en el Aeropuerto de Palma de Mallorca para atender su demanda en temporada alta, entre los meses de Marzo-Octubre 2019. EasyJet dispondrá de 5 aviones y para esta temporada de verano prevé incrementar la oferta de asientos de sus vuelos en un 25% respecto al año anerior. Reajustando la temporada

La reapertura de la base estacional supone la creación de 29 empleos, que se suman a los 201 puestos de trabajo estables. La mayoría de este personal adicional serán pilotos en una estrategia de easyJet por mitigar la congestión aérea y los retrasos que se prevé vuelva a sufrir este verano el Aeropuerto de Palma. Además, la compañía prevé incrementar este año su cuota de mercado en Palma un 10%, un 1% más respeto a 2018.

EasyJet ofrece 26 conexiones internacionales desde Palma, entre las que destacan Londres, Berlín, Ginebra, París, Milán o Ámsterdam. Prevé superar este año los 25 millones de pasajeros transportados con origen o destino Palma desde su primera conexión en 1998 con un vuelo entre Luton-Palma. Austral Líneas Aéreas suma una frecuencia por la mañana con Embraer E190

Austral Líneas Aéreas ha incorporado una nueva frecuencia matutina de Lunes a Viernes con aeronaves Embraer E190-100AR. El servicio de Austral enlaza Buenos Aires-Paraná. Spirit Airlines lanza servicio desde Indianápolis

La aerolínea low cost americana Spirit Airlines ha comenzado a volar la nueva ruta lndianápolis-Las Vegas. La aerolínea comenzó a prestar servicio el Jueves, 14 Marzo 2019 por la noche con un vuelo a Las Vegas, una ruta popular para la ciudad. El segundo destino de Spirit unió Indianápolis-Orlando el Viernes, 15 Marzo 2019. La aerolínea regional Flyest Líneas Aéreas realizó vuelo inaugural Buenos Aires-Sunchales

Flyest Líneas Aéreas realizó su vuelo inaugural Buenos Aires-Sunchales hoy 14 Marzo 2019 cubriendo la ruta con aeronaves Bombardier CRJ-200 de 50 pasajeros. La frecuencia de la nueva ruta es de dos vuelos semanales. La tarifa tiene un piso de AR$ 5.000 para cada tramo. La venta de los pasajes será en el Centro Comercial y por Call Center.

A las 9:30 hs el Aeropuerto de Sunchales administrado por Sancor Seguros abrió la apertura del vuelo inaugural Buenos Aires-Sunchales localizado en la Provincia de Santa Fe. Buenos Aires-Sunchales

Las frecuencias previstas inicialmente indican que el servicio comenzará cada semana los lunes a las 06:00 hs despegando de Aeroparque (Buenos Aires) para llegar a Sunchales a las 07:10 hs; se queda media hora para luego partir y hacer escala a las 08:10 en Sauce Viejo (Santa Fe), lugar que se estaciona otra media hora más, para retornar a Aeroparque a las 09:50 hs. Los miércoles despega de Aeroparque a las 18:35 hs para estar en Sauce viejo a las 19:45hs y luego partir a las 20:15 hs hacia Sunchales en un vuelo de media hora. Los días jueves parte de Sunchales a las 07:00 hs arribando al Aeropuerto Sauce Viejo a las 17:30 hs y de ahí salir a las 08:00 hs de la mañana, y terminar el viaje una hora después en Aeroparque.

La low cost Flybondi inicia opeciones en Aeropuerto Rosario

Flybondi inició hoy Miércoles 13 Marzo 2019 sus operaciones regulares a Rosario con su primer vuelo Iguazú-Rosario con dos frecuencias semanales los días Miércoles y Sábados, constituyéndose en la primera aerolínea low cost que conecta a la Provincia de Santa Fe con otras provincias del país.

El vuelo inaugural de Flybondi hacia Rosario fue realizado por una aeronave Boeing 737-800 matrícula LV-HKR que transporta a 189 pasajeros. La aeronave tiene una antigüedad de 13,9 años y efectuó su primer vuelo el 16/04/2005.

El vuelo inaugural arribó a Rosario proveniente de la Provincia de Misiones despegando del Aeropuerto Iguazú a las 16:45 hs aterrizando a las 18:25 hs en el Aeropuerto Internacional Islas Malvinas de Rosario. El vuelo inaugural fue recibido por ejecutivos de Flybondi, autoridades de la ciudad de Rosario y de Iguazú, autoridades Provincia de Santa Fe y Provincia de Misiones y autoridades del Aeropuerto.

El CEO de Flybondi, Sebastián Pereira, señaló que «a partir de hoy Rosario suma mayor conectividad y posibilita la libertad de volar a misioneros y santafecinos con las tarifas más bajas del mercado. Rosario es el destino número 16 de Flybondi, que hoy ya cuenta con 22 rutas operativas, de las cuales 19 son de cabotaje y 3 regionales. Durante el mes de abril comenzará a volar dos rutas más desde Rosario: Salta (23/04) y Tucumán (24/04). Por su parte, Flybondi conecta Puerto Iguazú con Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba y Rosario.
