Elevan Aeropuerto El Calafate a categoría internacional

La Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC) de Argentina decidió elevar a la categoría de aeropuerto internacional a la terminal ubicada en la Ciudad de El Calafate, localizada en la Provincia de Santa Cruz. A través de la Resolución Nº77/2021 que se publica el en el Boletín Oficial este Lunes 21/03, el Aeropuerto El Calafate/Comandante Armando Tola cambia de categoría de Aeródromo Público a Aeropuerto Internacional.

La terminal aérea se encuentra en la Provincia de Santa Cruz, representando un destino turístico de suma importancia a nivel internacional. De esta manera, los turistas del extranjero podrán arribar directamente al destino de la Patagonia, “ofreciendo una programación de rutas de otros países en forma directa, sin tener que pasar por los aeropuertos de Buenos Aires u otras ciudades del interior. Elevar la categoría a internacional permitirá desarrollar considerablemente la economía de la región, dada la importancia estratégica de la ubicación del aeropuerto santacruceño para el desarrollo de las industrias relacionadas con el turismo y la energía”, según informó el organismo a través de un comunicado.

Desde el organismo de la ANAC argumentaron que “hay que destacar la importancia estratégica de la ubicación del aeropuerto de El Calafate para el desarrollo de las industrias relacionadas con el turismo y la energía; así es que elevar la categoría a Internacional permitirá desarrollar considerablemente la economía de la región. A raíz de esta nueva norma se simplificarán los trámites que las aerolíneas deberán realizar para los movimientos internacionales y de esta manera ofrecer vuelos regulares”.

El Aeropuerto El Calafate/Comandante Armando Tola FTE/SAWC es un aeropuerto localizado en la Provincia de Santa Cruz, Argentina. Se encuentra aproximadamente a 21 km (13 millas) al este de la ciudad de El Calafate. El aeropuerto es operado conjuntamente por el Gobierno provincial y la compañía London Supply. Actualmente, el aeropuerto es atendido por Aerolíneas Argentinas, DAP Aerovías y LADE Líneas Aéreas. Es el aeropuerto argentino más occidental servido por vuelos regulares.

Consorcio multinacional invierte en aeropuerto de Indonesia
