Vietnam Airlines reanuda vuelos a China después de 3 años
Vietnam Airlines ha restablecido los vuelos comerciales a la República Popular de China, con la primera de las tres rutas restablecidas por la aerolína vietnamita. Tras los constantes anuncios de restricciones, China ha sido un mercado difícil de volver a ingresar a medida que los operadores buscan recuperarse de la pandemia de Coronavirus. Una flexibilización de las reglas ha permitido a las aerolíneas retornar de manera sencible a algunos destinos, aunque con las prrecauciones del caso.
La primera ruta que la aerolínea restablecerá enlazará el Aeropuerto Tan Son Nhat International/SGN de la ciudad de Ho Chi Minh hasta Guangzhou Baiyun International/CAN. El primer vuelo VN502 despegó a las 10:09 hs del 09/12, reanudando la conexión interrumpida el 1 de Febrero de 2020 por las restricciones a los vuelos por la crisis sanitaria mundial.
«A medida que China ha aliviado sus restricciones COVID-19, Vietnam Airlines ha reabierto algunas de sus rutas entre los dos países para satisfacer la demanda de viajes», expresó Vietnam Airlines.
Perspectivas chinas
La aerolínea ha anunciado que incrementará los servicios próximamente empleando aeronaves Airbus A321NEO. Además, a partir del Lunes 12/12 se reanudará el servicio entre el Aeropuerto Internacional Nội Bài/HAN de Hanoi y el Aeropuerto Internacional de Shanghai Pudong/PVG, con dos frecuencias semanales (2Frq/S) semana los Lunes y Viernes empleando el A3231NEO en lugar del A350.
El restablecimiento de las operaciones de Vietnam Airlines ha estado planificándose minuciosamente, debido a que el mercado chino en Vietnam representa un importante tráfico de turistas alcanzando unos 4,8 millones en 2019, como así también la residencia de alrededor de más de 35.000 ciudadanos en China.

La aerolínea de presupuesto canadiense WestJet Airlines ha anunciado tres nuevos destinos internacionales a Tokio, Edimburgo y Barcelona. Estas son las tres ciudades a las que WestJet ha anunciado que volará desde su base principal, la ciudad de Calgary, en el centro oeste de Canadá, a partir de la primavera septentrional (2Q2023), en una expansión insólita en una aerolínea extremadamente competitiva, al alza, pero que no dispone de una densa red de rutas. Los tres nuevos destinos de WestJet operarán aproximadamente desde finales de Abril a principios de Mayo 2023, introduciéndose en la renovación de temporada.

LATAM Airlines ha anunciado el aumento de su frecuencia a vuelos diarios Santiago de Chile/SCL—Auckland/AKL—Sydney/SYD. La aerolínea sudamericana posee tres vuelos semanales (3Frq) y pasará a incrementar sus servicios a una frecuencia diaria (1Frq/D) a partir del Martes 06/12, convirtiéndose en la única aerolínea que opera vuelos diarios entre Australia y Nueva Zelanda y Sudamérica.
LATAM Airlines reinició los vuelos desde Santiago de Chile hacia Sydney, Australia, en Marzo de 2022 con tres vuelos semanales después de una pausa de dos años debido a la pandemia de COVID-19. Aerolíneas Argentinas presentó sus nuevos esquemas de vuelos para las temporadas altas de verano 2022-2023 e invierno 2023, con incrementos de vuelos a Brasil, rutas federales para las temporadas turísticas de mayor demanda anunciadas el Viernes 02/11 por parte de la linea aérea.

Spirit Airlines lanza segundo vuelo diario Palmerola en Honduras
Spirit Airlines, la aerolínea estadounidense de ultra bajo costo ha anunciado el lanzamiento de un segundo vuelo diario al nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional Palmerola/XPL de la República de Honduras. El Miércoles, 30 de Noviembre de 2022, inauguró con el vuelo NK1430 un nuevo servicio diario Aeropuerto Fort Lauderdale/FLL—Aeropuerto Palmerola/XPL con aeronaves Airbus A320NEO.
Con esta nueva incorporación Spirit Airlines ofrece treinta y una frecuencias semanales (31Frq/S) a Honduras desde diferentes ciudades de los Estados Unidos. Tras unos meses atrás del anuncio de la nueva frecuencia, Mauricio Acosta, Gerente General de Spirit Airlines en Honduras, dijo que «este servicio adicional brinda a la región de Tegucigalpa otra opción conveniente para los viajeros que desean disfrutar de la cultura hondureña y aquellos que desean visitar amigos y familiares».
Desde Diciembre de 2022 el Aeropuerto Palmerola posee 91 vuelos directos semanales entre los Estados Unidos y Honduras. La aerolínea de ultra bajo costo con sede en Miramar (FL) ofrece una disponibilidad de asientos solo está detrás de American Airlines con 5.748 y 5.668 para Spirit Airlines. Las compañías que ofrecen frecuencias semanales hacia Palmerola se encuentran: American Airlines (37Frq/S), Spirit Airlines (31Frq/S), United Airlines (17Frq/S) y Delta Air Lines (6Frq/S), conectando ciudades como Dallas, Miami, Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, Orlando, Nueva York y Nueva Orleans con destinos hondureños Roatán, Palmerola y San Pedro Sula.

La República de Honduras inauguró el 15 de Octubre de 2021 el nuevo Aeropuerto Internacional Palmerola/XPL con el objetivo de reemplazar las operaciones del Aeropuerto Internacional Toncontín/TGU, ubicado en el centro de Tegucigalpa y ampliamente conocido como uno de los aeropuertos más peligrosos del mundo por sus dificultades opeerativas en la aproximación de los vuelos. De esta manera, Palmerola ha incrementado el número de aerolíneas entre ellas American Airlines, Aeroméxico, Avianca, Copa Airlines, Spirit y United Airlines.
