Proyecto Terminal modernización por valor US$ 80 millones
El Aeropuerto Internacional de Samarcanda/SKD ha presentado su nueva terminal, que triplicará con creces la capacidad del aeropuerto. El proyecto de modernización, que permitirá al aeropuerto manejar hasta 1.000 pasajeros por hora, también incluye una extensión de pista de 3,1 km e infraestructura modernizada. La gran inauguración de la nueva terminal del Aeropuerto Internacional de Samarcanda tuvo lugar el 18 de Marzo de 2022, con un vuelo inaugural de Uzbekistan Airways desde Tashkent, como parte de una ceremonia de apertura a la que asistieron más de 250 personas. La nueva terminal también ha manejado a sus primeros pasajeros con la llegada del vuelo HY045 desde Tashkent. El vuelo, operado por la aerolínea nacional Uzbekistan Airways, un A320 partió de la capital uzbeka a las 15:19 hora local y llegó a la nueva terminal 36 minutos después.
El proyecto ha tenido un costo de US$ 80 millones público-privada entre Air Marakand y el socio estatal Uzbekistan Airports JCS. El trabajo de construcción fue realizado por la firma uzbeka Enter Engineering, mientras que la empresa turca KIKLOP Design and Engineering diseñó la terminal.
El Director General Adjunto de Operaciones de Air Marakand, Hilmi Yilmaz, dijo: «En nombre de todo el personal de Air Marakanda, agradezco a nuestro gobierno y a todos los socios, sin los cuales la implementación de un proyecto a tan gran escala habría sido imposible». Proyecciones Samarkand
El Aeropuerto Internacional Samarkand se prevén 2 millones de pasajeros al año. La nueva terminal aumentará significativamente la capacidad anual en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Samarkand, sin mencionar la adición de instalaciones de última generación. La firma de investigación Lufthansa Consulting pronostica un aumento en el tráfico anual de pasajeros de 480.000 a dos millones. El Director Comercial de Air Marakand Dmitry Martynenko, expresó: «Nunca antes había habido algo como esto en Uzbekistán, en términos de servicios e infraestructura, y no todos los aeropuertos de Asia Central pueden decir lo mismo». El aeropuerto, que sirvió a cinco destinos en 2019, planea aumentar su red a 30 destinos para 2030. El número de vuelos regulares en el aeropuerto aumentará de 40 a 120 por semana, con 24 nuevos espacios de estacionamiento de aeronaves disponibles. Terminal modernization project worth US$ 80 million
Samarkand International Airport/SKD has unveiled its new terminal, which will more than triple the airport’s capacity. The modernization project, which will allow the airport to handle up to 1,000 passengers per hour, also includes a 3.1 km runway extension and modernized infrastructure. The grand opening of the new terminal at Samarkand International Airport took place on March 18, 2022, with an inaugural Uzbekistan Airways flight from Tashkent, as part of an opening ceremony attended by more than 250 people. The new terminal has also handled its first passengers with the arrival of flight HY045 from Tashkent. The flight, operated by the national carrier Uzbekistan Airways, an A320 departed the Uzbek capital at 3:19 p.m. local time and arrived at the new terminal 36 minutes later.
The project has cost US$80 million public-private between Air Marakand and the state partner Uzbekistan Airports JCS. The construction work was carried out by the Uzbek firm Enter Engineering, while the Turkish company KIKLOP Design and Engineering designed the terminal.
Air Marakand Deputy Director General of Operations Hilmi Yilmaz said: «On behalf of all Air Marakanda staff, I thank our government and all partners, without whom the implementation of such a large-scale project would have been impossible». Among those attending the opening ceremony are the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Achilbay Ramatov; Transport Minister Ilkhom Makhkamov; Khokim from the Samarkand region, Erkinjon Turdimov; and the President of the Board of Airports of Uzbekistan, Rano Juraeva.
Hilmi Yilmaz added, «I am confident that Samarkand International Airport, as one of the most important infrastructure facilities in the region, will stimulate economic growth and business development in the adjacent areas, creating jobs for the local population and benefiting society as a whole».
Samarkand projections
Samarkand International Airport is expected to handle 2 million passengers a year. The new terminal will significantly increase annual capacity at Samarkand International Airport, not to mention the addition of state-of-the-art facilities. Research firm Lufthansa Consulting forecasts an increase in annual passenger traffic from 480,000 to two million. Air Marakand Commercial Director Dmitry Martynenko said: «There has never been anything like this in Uzbekistan before, in terms of services and infrastructure, and not all airports in Central Asia can say the same». The airport, which served five destinations in 2019, plans to increase its network to 30 destinations by 2030. The number of scheduled flights at the airport will increase from 40 to 120 per week, with 24 new aircraft parking spaces available. The airport design, which resembles an open book, is based on a manuscript published by the famous astronomer Mirzo Ulugbek, who ruled over Samarkand in the 15th century.

Air Marakand Bosh direktorining ekspluatatsiyalar bo’yicha o’rinbosari Hilmi Yilmaz shunday dedi: «Air Marakanda barcha xodimlari nomidan hukumatimizga va barcha hamkorlarga minnatdorchilik bildiraman, ularsiz bunday keng ko’lamli loyihani amalga oshirish imkonsiz bo’lar edi». Ochilish marosimida ishtirok etganlar orasida O‘zbekiston Respublikasi Bosh vazirining birinchi o‘rinbosari Ochilbay Ramatov; Transport vaziri Ilhom Maxkamov; Samarqand viloyati hokimi Erkinjon Turdimov; va O‘zbekiston aeroportlari boshqaruvi prezidenti Ra’no Jo‘raeva.
Hilmi Yilmaz, “Ishonchim komilki, Samarqand xalqaro aeroporti mintaqadagi eng muhim infratuzilma ob’ektlaridan biri sifatida qo‘shni hududlarda iqtisodiy o‘sishni va biznesni rivojlantirishni rag‘batlantiradi, mahalliy aholi uchun ish o‘rinlarini yaratadi va butun jamiyatga foyda keltiradi”.
Samarqand prognozlari

Lufthansa Consulting tadqiqot kompaniyasi yillik yo’lovchi tashish hajmini 480 mingdan ikki milliongacha oshirishni prognoz qilmoqda. Air Marakand tijorat direktori Dmitriy Martynenko shunday dedi: “O‘zbekistonda xizmat ko‘rsatish va infratuzilma nuqtai nazaridan ilgari hech qachon bunday narsa bo‘lmagan va Markaziy Osiyodagi barcha aeroportlar ham buni ayta olmaydi”. 2019-yilda beshta yo‘nalishga xizmat ko‘rsatgan aeroport 2030-yilga kelib o‘z tarmog‘ini 30 ta yo‘nalishga yetkazishni rejalashtirmoqda. Aeroportdagi rejali reyslar soni haftasiga 40 tadan 120 tagacha ko‘tariladi, 24 ta yangi samolyotlar to‘xtash joyi mavjud. Ochiq kitobni eslatuvchi aeroport dizayni XV asrda Samarqandda hukmronlik qilgan mashhur astronom Mirzo Ulug‘bek tomonidan chop etilgan qo‘lyozma asosida yaratilgan.
