Gobierno de México inaugura nuevo aeropuerto internacional
La inauguración del Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Ángeles/AIFA ha quedado formalmente inaugurado el Lunes 21/03. El Secretario de la Defensa Nacional, Luis Cresencio Sandoval, detalló el programa de actividades para la puesta en funciones de la nueva aeroestación internacional de México. Luis Cresencio Sandoval hizo entrega de la obra concluida del AIFA a la empresa que se encargará de su operación.
La ceremonia de inauguración de la primera de las obras insignia de la Administración del Presidente Andrés López Obrador ha permitido concretarse para aliviar el saturado Aeropuerto Internacional Ciudad de México, una perspectiva que se convertiría en crítica con la salida de la pandemia.
Aunque el proyecto ha sido sumamente criticado por los problemas de movilidad para arribar y salir de la terminal aérea, recientemente distintas líneas de autobuses y otros medios de transporte dieron a conocer que ofrecerán el servicio para que los pasajeros puedan llegar o abandonar las instalaciones en tiempo y forma.
El Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Ángeles/AIFA, ubicado a 50 km al norte de Ciudad de México, es el nuevo aeródromo llamado a resolver un problema de saturación que arrastra la enorme urbe desde hace dos décadas. Pero desde su concepción misma, el AIFA ha estado rodeado del escepticismo de los especialistas en materia aeroportuaria, al cual el presidente ha combatido en los últimos cuatro años.
La planeación y ejecución de la obra del nuevo AIFA fue ejecutada por las Fuerzas Armadas en menos de tres años. Grupos de especialistas han echado abajo el escepticismo técnico sobre su operación, pues muchos analistas aseguraban que era incompatible la operación del viejo AICM con el AIFA, lo cual ha quedado solventado con una reconfiguración del espacio aéreo. En cuestión de dinero, sin embargo, el presupuesto ha tenido que ampliarse en al menos dos ocasiones. El 83% de los contratos de obra civil, materiales, equipos, etc., fue otorgado por adjudicación directa a proveedores, no por concurso de adjudicación como mandan las mejores prácticas. Además, el proyecto fue catalogado como una obra de seguridad nacional, lo que dificulta el escrutinio del uso de recursos públicos.
