Arriba vuelo con 300.000 dosis vacunas

Aterriza este Viernes 19/03 en el Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza el séptimo vuelo de Aerolíneas Argentinas con 330.000 dosis de la vacuna rusa Sputnik V. Este lote se suma a las más de 2,4 millones de dosis que ya fueron trasladadas desde Moscú hasta Argentina, siendo el primer país de la región en aprobar su uso y efectividad.

El séptimo avión de Aerolíneas Argentinas con 330.000 dosis de la vacuna rusa Sputnik V arribó este Viernes por la tarde a Buenos Aires, tras aproximadamente 18 horas de vuelo desde Moscú, mientras el país sudamericano intenta prepararse para afrontar una posible segunda ola de contagios de Covid-19. De esta forma, este nuevo lote se suma a las más de 2,4 millones de dosis rusas que ya llegaron a Argentina, que comenzó a recibir el fármaco en Diciembre 2020.

La misión completa tuvo una duración aproximada de 40 horas, incluyendo las 16 del tramo inicial desde el Aeropuerto Internacional de Ezeiza hasta Sheremétievo, otras seis horas de cargamento y el regreso. Para concretar las tareas hubo 20 personas a bordo, entre pilotos, copilotos, técnicos de carga, mantenimiento y tripulantes de cabina. Además de la Sputnik V, si se contabilizan los fármacos producidos por otros laboratorios, Argentina ya tenía más de 3,8 millones de dosis distribuidas y casi 3 millones de inyecciones aplicadas, para una población que supera las 45 millones de personas.

Con el marco de alta demanda y poca disponibilidad para los territorios en desarrollo, el Presidente de Argentina dijo el Jueves que «solo 18 países han recibido el 88% de las vacunas que se han distribuido hasta ahora. Hay un retraso global en la entrega de vacunas y problemas de producción, logísticos, de insumos, ante una complejidad absolutamente excepcional». Frente a ello, el jefe de Estado insistió en redoblar los cuidados «mientras avanza el plan de vacunación más grande de la historia. Sin importar las diferencias políticas ni sociales, de manera coordinada con las 24 jurisdicciones y con toda la sociedad argentina».

Entre tanto, en la Casa Rosada —sede presidencial— están intentando agilizar el envío desde China de 3 millones de dosis de la vacuna Sinopharm, mientras se acuerdan los últimos detalles logísticos para el traslado. También se aguarda por la recepción de la vacuna AstraZeneca, prevista a principios de Abril 2021, sumado a los futuros envíos de la Sputnik V y la fijación de un calendario de entregas mediante el plan Covax de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS).

En cuanto a las cifras de infecciones, según el reporte vespertino del 18 de Marzo de 2021, el Ministerio de Salud registra un total de 2,2 millones de contagios confirmados y 54.386 muertes por el Coronavirus.

Se estima que la proyección operativa de pasajeros de Latam Airlines Group para Marzo 2021 alcanzará hasta el 35% ASK (Kilómetros de Asiento Disponibles) en comparación con el mismo mes de 2019, en un contexto prepandémico. Durante Febrero 2021, el tráfico de pasajeros RPK (Kilómetros de Pasajeros Rentados) fue del 27,3% en relación con el mismo período de 2019, basado en una operación del 35,4% ASK en comparación con Febrero 2019. Esto implicaba que el factor de carga disminuyó un 19,2%, alcanzando el 64,9%. En las operaciones de carga, el factor de carga fue del 65,6%, un 7,7% más que el registrado en el mismo mes de 2019.

El escenario central criogénico construido por The Boeing Company para el primer cohete del Sistema de Lanzamiento Espacial (SLS) de la NASA completó las pruebas de fuego caliente este 18/03 en el Centro Espacial Stennis de la NASA como parte de la campaña de pruebas Green Run del Cohete SLS en el Puesto de Pruebas B-2. Following post-test departures, the center stage will go to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida for integration with the Orion crew spacecraft, interim cryogenic propulsion upper stage, and solid rocket boosters, and then it will be ready for launch. That complete vehicle will fly the first mission of NASA’s Artemis program, called Artemis I, which will be an Orion unscrewed test flight around the Moon to prepare for manned missions. Only the SLS has the power to launch Orion, crew and cargo to the Moon and enable sustainable lunar exploration. Boeing is NASA’s prime contractor for the SLS core and upper stages and avionics. «I want to thank our teams at NASA, Aerojet Rocketdyne and Boeing that weathered storms and a pandemic to demonstrate the capability and safety of the SLS core stage», said John Shannon.

The SLS will continue to evolve beyond Artemis III, which is slated to be the landing of the first woman and the next man on the Moon. Boeing is already working on rotatable capabilities for the rocket system such as the Upper Exploration Stage, with additional power that will be key to meaningful human exploration of the Moon and Mars.
