La Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Colombia ha anunciado que el próximo Jueves 24 de Noviembre de 2022 se realizará una Audiencia Pública en la que se presentará a los interesados en el incremento de la oferta aeronáutica para el país. En el marco de la audiencia aeronáutica nacional, JetSMART Airlines Group solicitó autorización a Aerocivil Colombia para establecerse como nuevo operador aéreo nacional de Transporte Público Regular, para prestar el servicio doméstico de transporte de pasajeros, carga y correo en 111 rutas entre los aeropuertos de Bogotá, Barranquilla, Apartadó, Arauca, Armenia, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Medellín, Cúcuta, Leticia, Montería, Neiva, Pereira, Pasto, San Andrés, Yopal, Santa Marta, Valledupar, Villavicencio, Riohacha y Florencia. Aerorepública (Copa Colombia Airlines) solicitó la operación de las rutas Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Armenia, Panamá, Puerto Príncipe (Haití), Managua (Nicaragua). Además, cuatro Sociedades solicitaron a la Aerocivil presentar en audiencia pública la ampliación de la oferta de servicios aéreos: dos para la operación no regular de pasajeros, una para ambulancia aérea y una para trabajos aéreos especiales.

El Presidente de la República de México ha anunciado que comprará la marca Mexicana Aviación. El Gobierno mexicano se encuentra negociando con trabajadores y jubilados de la extinta aerolínea Mexicana de Aviación para comprar la marca, confirmó el mandatario. Avelo Airlines has announced on 10/11 that it will open its fifth base at Raleigh-Durham/RDU International Airport, North Carolina (NC) next February 2023. The new base allows Avelo to significantly expand affordable, convenient air service and reliable that the airline introduced to the North Carolina Triangle region in May 2022. A major schedule update from the ultra-low-cost carrier this weekend has cut more than 37 routes across its network, with a large proportion of them touching the State of Florida. The Miramar, Florida-based airline, set to join forces with JetBlue Airways, has decided to cut multiple routes, with the most affected airports being Fort Myers/RSW, Fort Lauderdale/FLL, Miami/MIA and Orlando/MCO.

The airline has communicated that the reduction is due to several factors including supply chain constraints on the delivery of new aircraft, maintenance of existing aircraft, and the limitations of Jacksonville Air Traffic Control, which oversees 40% of its operations to and from Florida.
As Spirit Airlines shrinks by cutting several routes for the northern winter, the airline is adding new routes as fast as San Antonio/SAT—Las Vegas/LAS and Orlando/MCO, Charlotte/CLT—Nashville/BNA and Los Angeles/ LAX—Memphis/MEM, among other destinations taking off soon.
