Grupo busca audiencia para crear JetSMART Airlines Colombia
La Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Colombia ha anunciado que el próximo Jueves 24 de Noviembre de 2022 se realizará una Audiencia Pública en la que se presentará a los interesados en el incremento de la oferta aeronáutica para el país. En el marco de la audiencia aeronáutica nacional, JetSMART Airlines Group solicitó autorización a Aerocivil Colombia para establecerse como nuevo operador aéreo nacional de Transporte Público Regular, para prestar el servicio doméstico de transporte de pasajeros, carga y correo en 111 rutas entre los aeropuertos de Bogotá, Barranquilla, Apartadó, Arauca, Armenia, Bucaramanga, Cali, Cartagena, Medellín, Cúcuta, Leticia, Montería, Neiva, Pereira, Pasto, San Andrés, Yopal, Santa Marta, Valledupar, Villavicencio, Riohacha y Florencia. Aerorepública (Copa Colombia Airlines) solicitó la operación de las rutas Bogotá, Medellín, Cali, Cartagena, Barranquilla, Armenia, Panamá, Puerto Príncipe (Haití), Managua (Nicaragua). Además, cuatro Sociedades solicitaron a la Aerocivil presentar en audiencia pública la ampliación de la oferta de servicios aéreos: dos para la operación no regular de pasajeros, una para ambulancia aérea y una para trabajos aéreos especiales.
“Esta es una excelente señal de confianza en el mercado aéreo nacional y en las proyecciones de crecimiento de la conectividad aérea nacional e internacional. Hemos venido teniendo una curva ascendente sostenida después de la pandemia y ahora tenemos grandes posibilidades de seguir ampliando la conexión del país, y a su vez la conectividad con la región y con el mundo. Las solicitudes de los operadores son una consecuencia derivada de tener un sistema aeronáutico responsable, en un mercado aéreo creciente, seguro y confiable. Los inversionistas perciben un sistema aeronáutico robusto y ahora, la gran responsabilidad, es lograr que sea sostenible en el tiempo. El crecimiento de la conectividad aérea nacional e internacional es notable; somos uno de los pocos países de la región que tiene cifras positivas de reactivación del sector aéreo nacional e internacional después de la pandemia, y estamos en pleno crecimiento, con expectativas cercanas a los 46 millones de pasajeros movilizados al finalizar 2022”, dijo el Ministro de Transporte, Guillermo Francisco Reyes González.
La intención de la chilena ultra low cost es solicitar la autorización necesaria para operar vuelos domésticos regulares. El plan estratégico de la compañía consiste en una flota de doce aviones de Airbus A320NEO (12), con sede en Santa Fe de Bogotá, Colombia, que a través de esta Audiencia Pública, solicitarán autorización para iniciar operaciones de pasajeros y carga. La solicitud de JetSMART incluye un total de 111 rutas, que se dividirán entre su base principal en el aeropuerto Bogotá/El Dorado/BOG hacia ciudades como Barranquilla/BAQ, Bucaramanga/BGA, Cartagena/CTG, Cali/CLO, Medellín/MED y Santa Marta/SMR, entre otras solicitudes. La próxima Audiencia Pública del 24/11 buscará en el grupo JetSMART alcanzar las aprobaciones necesarias para incursionar en el transporte aéreo doméstico en momentos de debilidad operativa que atraviesa Colombia.
