Silk Avia recibirá nuevos turbohélices ATR 72-600

Silk Avia ha anunciado la incorporación de cinco ATR 72-600 (5) a su flota inicial. La nueva aerolínea regional de la república de Uzbekistán se ha convertido en el último cliente del fabricante franco-italiano ATR Aircraft. Ambas compañías han firmado un Heads of Agreement (HOA) para la adquisición de cinco nuevos ATR72-600, tres directamente de ATR y dos unidades de un arrendador. La flota ATR 72-600 abrirá nuevas oportunidades punto a punto, sirviendo alrededor de 40 rutas en el país. Silk Avia es una aerolínea regional estatal de bajo costo dependiente del Ministerio de Transporte de Uzbekistán, y la corporación aeroportuaria estatal, Uzbekistan Airports JSC. Pronto iniciará operaciones desde el Aeropuerto Internacional de Samarcanda/SKD en la República de Uzbekistán.

La startup Silk Avia había anunciado en Septiembre de 2021 el inicio de la puesta en marcha de la aerolínea en Uzbekistán. La nueva aerolínea ha avanzado con la firma un nuevo acuerdo para adquirir cinco aviones turbohélice ATR 72-600 con entregas directas de ATR Aircraft, mientras que otros serán entregados a través de compañías de leasing. Estos nuevos aviones complementarán con los tres ATR 72-600 (3) existentes en la aerolínea. Este modelo de avión es un turbohélice de bajo consumo de combustible dirigido a los mercados regionales. Posee una capacidad para transportar entre 44 y 78 pasajeros con una autonomía de 740 millas náuticas/1.370 kilómetros.

Perspectivas Silk Avia

Silk Avia busca iniciar operaciones a destinos regionales en el país generando un incentivo de bajas tarifas, fomentando el turismo interno, el desarrollo comercial en Uzbekistán. Con base en Tashkent, la línea aérea servirá a las ciudades uzbekas de manera directa permitiendo realizar con las aeronaves regionales ATR 72-600 alrededor de cuarenta rutas en el país, según expresa ATR Aircraft en un comunicado. Silk Air podrá conectar once aeropuertos nacionales y siete aeropuertos adicionales en el futuro.

ATR Aircraft y Silk Avia han firmado adicionalmente un Acuerdo de Mantenimiento Global, lo que permitirá reducir los costos de mantenimiento e impulsar las operaciones con un contrato de pago por hora de cinco años con ATR. El contrato incluye la reparación, revisión y servicio de intercambio de grupos de unidades reemplazables en línea, un stock in situ de piezas de repuesto, un acuerdo de piezas de repuesto, junto con la disponibilidad de la hélice y los servicios de mantenimiento.

Silk Avia has announced the addition of five ATR 72-600 (5) to its initial fleet. The new regional airline of the Republic of Uzbekistan has become the latest customer of the Franco-Italian manufacturer ATR Aircraft. Both companies have signed a Heads of Agreement (HOA) for the acquisition of five new ATR72-600s, three directly from ATR and two units from a lessor. The ATR 72-600 fleet will open up new point-to-point opportunities, serving around 40 routes in the country. Silk Avia is a state-owned regional low-cost airline under the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, and the state airport corporation, Uzbekistan Airports JSC. It will soon start operations from the Samarkand International Airport/SKD in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Silk Avia startup had announced in September 2021 the start of the start-up of the airline in Uzbekistan. Silk Avia Perspectives

Silk Avia seeks to start operations to regional destinations in the country, generating an incentive of low rates, promoting internal tourism, commercial development in Uzbekistan. Based in Tashkent, the airline will serve Uzbek cities directly, allowing it to carry out around forty routes in the country with ATR 72-600 regional aircraft, according to ATR Aircraft in a statement. Silk Air will be able to connect 11 domestic airports and seven additional airports in the future.

ATR Aircraft and Silk Avia have additionally signed a Global Maintenance Agreement, which will reduce maintenance costs and boost operations with a five-year pay-per-hour contract with ATR. The contract includes repair, overhaul and exchange service for groups of online replaceable units, an on-site stock of spare parts, a spare parts agreement, along with propeller availability and maintenance services.

Aerolíneas Argentinas ha programado seis vuelos especiales para la primera etapa y un programa de nuevos vuelos que se irían confirmando a medida que el equipo de la Selección de Futbol Argentina avance hacia las siguientes fase de clasificación. La programación de los primeros vuelos fueron establecidos para los días 19, 20 y 23 de Noviembre de 2022, mientras que los nuevos vuelos programados son para el 24, 27 y 28/11 y para el 01/12. Las operaciones de los vuelos especiales se realizan en aeronaves Airbus 330-200 con capacidad para 270 pasajeros. La ruta Buenos Aires/EZE—Doha/DIA demanda alrededor de diecinueve horas de vuelo, con una escala de una hora en Roma/FCO.

El Gobierno de Argentina ha informado que alrededor de 40.000 argentinos viajarán al Mundial de Qatar 2022 para disfrutar de los diferentes partidos de la Copa Mundial de Futbol. “En general se suelen ver movimientos más cerca de la última fecha de la primera fase, que es cuando se definen los próximos pasos de la Selección”, sostuvo la agencia Despegar.

Turismo Medio Oriente

La Organización Mundial de Turismo (OMT) ha informado que el turismo internacional en la región se incrementó en un 132% durante los primeros tres meses de 2022. “A raíz del mundial de fútbol, los ojos del mundo están puestos sobre Medio Oriente, no únicamente por una cuestión deportiva sino también por razones turísticas. La región ofrece paisajes imperdibles, destinos exóticos y naturaleza que todo amante de los viajes debe darse la chance de conocer”, dijo Alejandro Herrasti, líder de aéreos de Despegar en Argentina y Uruguay.

Termómetro para vuelos

Después del boom de los días previos al debut y luego de la derrota argentina, se frenaron las consultas para viajar a Qatar. Las aerolíneas y agencias de turismo aguardan que las consultas vuelvan a crecer la próxima semana, más cerca de la definición de la fase de grupos. La derrota de la Selección argentina en el Mundial de Qatar ante Arabia Saudita no sólo marcó un punto negativo para miles de hinchas, argentinos y del mundo que alientan a la camiseta albiceleste, sino que también amenaza con ser un golpe al negocio del turismo mundialista.

Según datos que había compartido Despegar días atrás, las búsquedas a Qatar habían aumentado en un 173% con respecto a la semana anterior. Por su parte, desde Turismocity dijeron que las búsquedas de vuelos entre Doha y Buenos Aires se habían disparado registrando un aumento importante en las consultas la semana pasada. Tras la derrota de la Selección, ambas expresaron que las búsquedas para viajar hacia Qatar están, claramente, más bajas que días anteriores. Mientras tanto, las agencias y la aerolínea continuarán expectantes para determinar cuántos vuelos se programarán para la Copa Mundial Qatar 2022.

Aerolíneas reclaman proceso integración ante Aerocivil Colombia

Avianca Airlines y Viva Air Colombia han presentado una apelación ante la Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Colombia por el proceso de integración de ambas aerolíneas que ha sido rechazado por la agencia aeronáutica colombiana. Las aerolíneas Avianca y Viva anunciaron el Miércoles 23/11 que presentaron un Recurso de Apelación ante la Aeronáutica Civil de Colombia para reclamar un proceso de integración negado a comienzos de Noviembre 2022, y plantearon alternativas que incluyen la cesión de horarios de aterrizaje y despegue a competidores. Las dos empresas firmaron en Abril 2022 un acuerdo con el que buscaban hacer parte de un mismo grupo y unificar sus derechos económicos, manteniendo sus respectivas marcas y estrategias para fortalecer las aerolíneas tras la crisis mundial del sector aéreo por la crisis sanitaria mundial. Pero el organismo de aviación civil de Colombia objetó el proceso de integración al considerar que representa riesgos para la competencia en el sector y el bienestar de los consumidores.

Las dos aerolíneas dijeron que propusieron cinco puntos que recogen las preocupaciones de la autoridad y evidencian la voluntad de mantener la conectividad de las regiones y los empleos que genera Viva Air en Colombia. “Todo esto, encaminado a asegurar el bienestar general de los usuarios del transporte aéreo, especialmente de aquellos que han volado por primera vez gracias a Viva”, dijo en un comunicado el Presidente y CEO de Avianca, Adrian Neuhauser.

Algunas de las proposiciones incluyen disminuir la participación de sus operaciones en el Aeropuerto Bogotá/El Dorado mantener la marca Viva y su modelo de bajo costo, el mayor número de empleos, aviones y conectividad, así como proteger tarifas en determinadas rutas. Adicionalmente, expresaron su interés para trabajar conjuntamente con la aerolínea estatal Satena para fortalecer su rol social como conector de las regiones más apartadas de Colombia.

Viva Air Colombia atraviesa por una compleja situación financiera por el impacto de la pandemia, agravada por el alza del precio del combustible durante este año y la devaluación de la moneda colombiana.

Air Serbia reiniciará ruta Belgrado—Chicago después de 30 años

La aerolínea Air Serbia ha anunciado planes para reanudar los vuelos entre Belgrado/BEG y Chicago/ORD después de treinta años. La aerolínea de bandera serbia lanzará un servicio con dos frecuencias semanales (2Frq/S) a partir del 17 de Mayo de 2023, aumentando a tres vuelos por semana a partir del 12 de Junio del próximo año. El vuelo se implementará con aeronaves Airbus A330-200 en configuración Clase Ejecutiva (21) y Clase Económica (236). La ruta demandará once horas aproximadamente en ambos sentidos.

La aerolínea ha informado que la nueva ruta ofrecería conexiones desde Chicago—Belgrado a su red de destinos europeos que incluyen Atenas, Viena, Berlín, Bolonia, Bucarest, Dubrovnik, Estambul, Larnaca, Liubliana, Praga, Pula, Podgorica, Roma, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofía, Tivat, Venecia y Zagreb.

Air Serbia posee alianzas con JetBlue Airways y American Airlines para viajes dentro de los Estados Unidos. El servicio Chicago O’Hare/ORD se unirá a los vuelos de la aerolínea desde Belgrado a Nueva York/JFK, que se lanzó en 2015. En ese momento, el servicio era la primera ruta sin escalas entre Serbia y los Estados Unidos en veinticuatro años.

Etihad Airways adquirió una participación del 49 por ciento en Air Serbia en 2014, pero el Gobierno serbio ha aumentado gradualmente su participación en la aerolínea en los últimos años, y ahora posee una participación mayoritaria del 83,58 por ciento en la aerolínea, con Etihad poseyendo el 16,42 por ciento.

Авио-компанија Ер Србија најавила је планове да после тридесет година обнови летове између Београда/БЕГ и Чикага/ОРД. Српски авиопревозник ће од 17. маја 2023. покренути услугу са две недељне фреквенције (2Фрк/С), а од 12. јуна следеће године ће се повећати на три лета недељно. Лет ће бити реализован авионима Ербас А330-200 у конфигурацији бизнис класе (21) и економске класе (236). Рута ће трајати око једанаест сати у оба смера.

Авио-компанија је саопштила да ће нова рута нудити везе од Чикага-Београд до њене мреже европских дестинација које укључују Атину, Беч, Берлин, Болоњу, Букурешт, Дубровник, Истанбул, Ларнаку, Љубљану, Праг, Пулу, Подгорицу, Рим, Сарајево. Скопље, Софија, Тиват, Венеција и Загреб.

Lanzará rutas desde Heathrow a Maldivas y Turcas y Caicos

Virgin Atlantic Airways ha anunciado nuevos servicios a las Maldivas y las Islas Turcas y Caicos para el invierno de 2023. Ambas rutas operarán desde Londres/Heathrow/LHR a las Maldivas a partir del 22 de Octubre de 2023 con vuelos estacionales de invierno tres veces por semana (3Frq/S), seguidos de un servicio dos veces por semana (2Frq/S) durante todo el año a partir del 15 de Noviembre de 2023.

Virgin ha confirmado que la nueva ruta de las Islas Turcas y Caicos operará junto con el servicio existente de Montego Bay de la aerolínea, enrutando Heathrow—Turks y Caicos—Montego Bay. Las tarifas para las nuevas rutas aún no se han anunciado. Los pasajes aéreos para las Maldivas saldrán a la venta el 30 de Noviembre de 2022, mientras que los de las Islas Turcas y Caicos estarán disponibles a partir del 11 de Enero de 2023. Virgin Atlantic Holidays ha anunciado un paquete de siete noches a las Maldivas, que se encuentran disponibles desde el 18/11que incluye vuelos y alojamiento y desayuno en Hard Rock Maldives. Ambos nuevos servicios serán operados en aeronaves Boeing 787-9 de la aerolínea configurado en Clase Superior (31), Premium (35) y Economy (192).

Virgin Atlantic Airways competirá con British Airways en ambas rutas. La noticia sigue al lanzamiento de los vuelos de Virgin Atlantic a las Bahamas y San Vicente y las Granadinas el año pasado, y la reanudación de los servicios a Santa Lucía después de haber abandonado la ruta en 2019.

Vingin Atlantic launches Maldives/Turks and Caicos

Launch routes Heathrow to the Maldives and Turks & Caicos Islands

Virgin Atlantic Airways has announced new services to the Maldives and the Turks and Caicos Islands for winter 2023. Both routes will operate from London/Heathrow/LHR to the Maldives from 22 October 2023 with seasonal winter flights three times a week. week (3Frq/S), followed by a service twice a week (2Frq/S) throughout the year from November 15, 2023.

Virgin has confirmed that the new Turks and Caicos route will operate alongside the airline’s existing Montego Bay service, routing Heathrow—Turks and Caicos—Montego Bay. Fares for the new routes have yet to be announced. Air tickets for the Maldives will go on sale on November 30, 2022, while those for the Turks and Caicos Islands will be available from January 11, 2023. Virgin Atlantic Holidays has announced a seven-night package to the Maldives, available from 11/18 that includes flights and accommodation and breakfast at Hard Rock Maldives. Both new services will be operated on the airline’s Boeing 787-9 aircraft configured in Superior Class (31), Premium (35) and Economy (192).

Virgin Atlantic Airways will compete with British Airways on both routes. The news follows the launch of Virgin Atlantic flights to the Bahamas and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines last year, and the resumption of services to Saint Lucia after abandoning the route in 2019.
