Air Serbia reiniciará ruta Belgrado—Chicago después de 30 años

La aerolínea Air Serbia ha anunciado planes para reanudar los vuelos entre Belgrado/BEG y Chicago/ORD después de treinta años. La aerolínea de bandera serbia lanzará un servicio con dos frecuencias semanales (2Frq/S) a partir del 17 de Mayo de 2023, aumentando a tres vuelos por semana a partir del 12 de Junio del próximo año. El vuelo se implementará con aeronaves Airbus A330-200 en configuración Clase Ejecutiva (21) y Clase Económica (236). La ruta demandará once horas aproximadamente en ambos sentidos.

La aerolínea ha informado que la nueva ruta ofrecería conexiones desde Chicago—Belgrado a su red de destinos europeos que incluyen Atenas, Viena, Berlín, Bolonia, Bucarest, Dubrovnik, Estambul, Larnaca, Liubliana, Praga, Pula, Podgorica, Roma, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofía, Tivat, Venecia y Zagreb.

Air Serbia posee alianzas con JetBlue Airways y American Airlines para viajes dentro de los Estados Unidos. El servicio Chicago O’Hare/ORD se unirá a los vuelos de la aerolínea desde Belgrado a Nueva York/JFK, que se lanzó en 2015. En ese momento, el servicio era la primera ruta sin escalas entre Serbia y los Estados Unidos en veinticuatro años.

Etihad Airways adquirió una participación del 49 por ciento en Air Serbia en 2014, pero el Gobierno serbio ha aumentado gradualmente su participación en la aerolínea en los últimos años, y ahora posee una participación mayoritaria del 83,58 por ciento en la aerolínea, con Etihad poseyendo el 16,42 por ciento.

Air Serbia to restart Belgrade-Chicago route after 30 years

The airline Air Serbia has announced plans to resume flights between Belgrade/BEG and Chicago/ORD after thirty years. The Serbian flag carrier will launch a service with two weekly frequencies (2Frq/S) from May 17, 2023, increasing to three flights per week from June 12 of next year. The flight will be implemented with Airbus A330-200 aircraft in Business Class (21) and Economy Class (236) configuration. The route will require approximately eleven hours in both directions.

The airline has reported that the new route would offer connections from Chicago-Belgrade to its network of European destinations that include Athens, Vienna, Berlin, Bologna, Bucharest, Dubrovnik, Istanbul, Larnaca, Ljubljana, Prague, Pula, Podgorica, Rome, Sarajevo, Skopje, Sofia, Tivat, Venice and Zagreb.

Air Serbia has alliances with JetBlue Airways and American Airlines for travel within the United States. The Chicago O’Hare/ORD service will join the airline’s flights from Belgrade to New York/JFK, which launched in 2015. At the time, the service was the first non-stop route between Serbia and the United States in twenty-four years.

Ер Србија после 30 година поново покреће линију Београд-Чикаго

Авио-компанија Ер Србија најавила је планове да после тридесет година обнови летове између Београда/БЕГ и Чикага/ОРД. Српски авиопревозник ће од 17. маја 2023. покренути услугу са две недељне фреквенције (2Фрк/С), а од 12. јуна следеће године ће се повећати на три лета недељно. Лет ће бити реализован авионима Ербас А330-200 у конфигурацији бизнис класе (21) и економске класе (236). Рута ће трајати око једанаест сати у оба смера.

Авио-компанија је саопштила да ће нова рута нудити везе од Чикага-Београд до њене мреже европских дестинација које укључују Атину, Беч, Берлин, Болоњу, Букурешт, Дубровник, Истанбул, Ларнаку, Љубљану, Праг, Пулу, Подгорицу, Рим, Сарајево. Скопље, Софија, Тиват, Венеција и Загреб.

Ер Србија има савезе са Јетблуе Аирваис и Америцан Аирлинес за путовања унутар Сједињених Држава. Услуга Цхицаго О’Харе/ОРД придружиће се летовима авио-компаније из Београда за Њујорк/ЈФК, који су покренути 2015. године. У то време, ова услуга је била прва директна линија између Србије и Сједињених Америчких Држава у последње двадесет четири године.

Ово је изузетно важно и ми смо сигурни да ће директни летови између Београда и Чикага значити много не само за српску дијаспору, већ и за регион Балкана уопште. Увођењем летова између та два града регион ће бити боље повезан са Чикагом, а путници ће имати више Уз добре везе које нуди Ер Србија, очекујемо велико интересовање за ове директне летове, за оне који желе да наставе путовање ка другим дестинацијама».
