Conflicto bélico sacude población de Israel-Gaza-Cisjordania

Aerolíneas suspenden todos sus vuelos a Israel. Buscan garantizar la seguridad de clientes y empleados ante el conflicto palestino-israelí. A medida que crece el conflicto israel-palestino varias compañías aéreas suspendieron el Jueves 13/05 los servicios hacia Israel en medio de los esfuerzos diplomáticos realizados para detener la espiral de la violencia.

Un portavoz de Iberia dijo que “no hemos ido más allá, iremos tomando las decisiones en función de la evolución de los hechos». La aerolínea estadounidense Delta Air Lines suspendió el servicio entre New York-Tel Aviv para garantizar la seguridad de sus clientes y empleados. American Airlines indicó que han cancelado todos los vuelos New Yor-Tel Aviv hasta el 15/05. United Airlines, que opera dieciocho ofrecuencias semanales a Israel desde diferentes ciudades de Estados Unidos ha informado de las suspenciones de sus vuelos a Tel Aviv. La aerolínea rusa Aeroflot Russian Airlines anunció la anulación de su vuelo Moscow-Tel Aviv del 14 de Mayo de 2021, sin precisar si anulará el mismo vuelo los días siguientes. La holandesa KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, British Airways y Virgin Atlantic Airways, también han reportado las cancelaciones de frecuencias hacia Oriente Medio. Lufthansa German Airlines canceló vuelos para el Jueves 13/05 y Viernes 14/05. La aerolínea polaca LOT Polish Airlines indicó por su parte que suspende vuelos a Israel hasta nuevo aviso.

Conflicto árabe-israelí

El Estado de Israel ha enfrentado un conflicto cada vez mayor el Viernes 14/05, cuando estalló la violencia mortal en Cisjordania en medio de un bombardeo aéreo masivo en Gaza y disturbios sin precedentes entre árabes y judíos dentro de Israel. Canadá prorroga restricciones viaje por incremento contagios

El Primer Ministro canadiense Justin Trudeau prorrogó la vigencia de las medidas que obligan a los pasajeros de avión a ponerse en cuarentena en un hotel y pagarlo de su bolsillo cuando lleguen a Canadá. También agradeció a las dos principales aerolíneas del país por extender hasta el 21 de Mayo de 2021 una suspensión voluntaria a los vuelos hacia México y todos los destinos del Caribe. Las medidas fueron anunciadas por primera vez en Enero 2021.

Justin Trudeau reiteró que ahora no es el momento de viajar. Señaló que la estricta realización de pruebas para viajar y las medidas de cuarentena exigidas en Canadá son extremadamente importantes. Sin embargo, subrayó que los viajes internacionales representan directamente una pequeña cantidad de casos en Canadá y que las restricciones son sólo un instrumento para combatir la pandemia.
