Gobierno somalí respalda continuidad de viajes
El Gobierno de la República de Somalia ha comunicado tras una reunión reciente asegurar a las aerolíneas para que no se vean afectadas por las restricciones en el tráfico aéreo. El Ministerio de Transportes y Aviación Civil a cargo de Duran Ahmed Farah, se ha reunido con el Comité Somalí de Aerolíneas para discutir un enfoque conjunto para garantizar que las compañías aéreas no se vean afectadas por las recientes restricciones de viaje contra la pandemia en Somalia. «El gobierno de Somalia está trabajando con la industria aérea para minimizar el impacto negativo de las restricciones de viaje y permitir a la industria continuar sus operaciones», expresó Duran Ahmed Farah el Miércoles 12/05. También subrayó el compromiso del gobierno somalí de promover la cooperación aérea con los países de la región.
Kenia suspendió el 11 de Mayo de 2021 todos los vuelos a Somalia, con la excepción de las entregas humanitarias y los vuelos de evacuación médica, según un comunicado del regulador de la aviación, la Autoridad de Aviación Civil de Kenia (KCAA).

Kenya suspended all flights to Somalia on May 11, 2021, with the exception of humanitarian deliveries and medical evacuation flights, according to a statement from the aviation regulator, the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
