Vuelo MH128 regresa por incidente

Aviones de Malaysia Airlines

AW | 2017 05 31 19:10 | SAFETY / SECURITY

AIRGWAYS ® Icon-AW

Flight MH128 returns per incident

Malaysia Airlines plane is forced to land back after a passenger attempted to enter the cockpit

Just 14 minutes after taking off from Melbourne, Australia, a Malaysia Airlines plane had to return to the airport in that city. The motive, according to the airline, was that a «conflicted passenger» attempted to enter the cockpit.

The FlightRadar24 flight tracking site said the plane was up in the air for only 14 minutes after it took off at 23:27 local time (13:27 GMT) on Wednesday. Before the incident, the captain turned the plane and requested aid to the security services ashore. The MH128 commercial flight had destination to the capital of Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur. Beyond the incident, no material or personal damage was reported.

Malaysian Transport Minister Liow Tiong Lai also confirmed that the flight «landed safely after being forced to back down because a conflicted passenger was attempting to enter the flight deck.»

Malaysia Airlines was involved in two serious air incidents in the past. In March 2014 one of its aircraft disappeared over the Indian Ocean, and four months later one of its aircraft was shot down over Ukrainian territory. A \ W

VLM toma licencia Thomas Cook Airlines

Resultado de imagen para Thomas Cook Belgium

AW | 2017 05 31 12:31 | AIRLINES MARKET

VLM takes flight license Thomas Cook Airlines

SHS Aviation, the acquirer of the failed Belgian airline VLM, takes over the remaining parts of Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium

At the end of March, the Belgian airline announced that Brussels Airlines took over the activities of its competitor Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium since November. Brussels Airlines takes over 160 pilots and cabin crew members, all slots and two aircraft from Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium. Thomas Cook Airlines had to hand in his flight permit and disappeared 40 ground jobs.

As a result of the deal with SHS, those plans have now been terminated. SHS Aviation takes over the remaining activities and the 40 ground staff members. The collective redundancy procedure will be suspended. «Today’s announcement is good news for our colleagues at Thomas Cook Airlines Belgium,» says Jean-Christophe Degen, Director. «Thanks to the agreement with SHS Aviation, all staff of ground staff can get started.»

License
But the acquisition is actually about Thomas Cook Airlines’s license. VLM has been waiting for an ‘AOC’ license from FOD Mobiliteit for months. But the file is difficult due to the weak financial situation of the bankruptcy of the VLM. That’s what SHS fits through the acquisition. ‘SHS Aviation expects to use the AOC flight permit and Thomas Cook Airlines’ operating license,’ it sounds.

Inquiry teaches that both companies must submit a new application file to FOD Mobiliteit. «SHS and Thomas Cook Airlines have to pass by again,» said the spokesman for the FPS Mobility. The license can be approved in a few weeks.

Antwerp
SHS emphasizes that its Belgian license application continues to run. The Dutch company recently received another AOC flight license in Slovenia. SHS will offer scheduled flights later this year from the airport of Antwerp under the brand name VLM Airlines. Details about the number of aircraft, routes and timetables are not known yet.  A \ W

VLM neemt vlieglicentie Thomas Cook Airlines over

India needs to regulate commercial aviation

India has expanded the volume of traffic of pax in these times by what has increased the abuses of the airlines

The regulations of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation (DGCA) of India have little regulations and sanctions against the abuses of Indian airlines that allow action to punish airlines and air officials for infractions, although the regulator has the Power to suspend or terminate licenses, this is unjustified in cases of minor breaches of compliance. It is good that the regulator can now impose fines.

Most nations impose monetary sanctions on airlines for violating the rules, India is one of the few that does not yet have such provisions. The implementation is not yet defined, little is known how the country plans to carry it out. A good example to follow would be the European Union, not only to sanction violations, but also to compensate passengers, which has been another point of pain for the airline industry. A \ W

El desafío de Bombardier para el CS500

https://airgways.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/boeing-737max-en-vol-2013-12-22.jpg?w=1000

Boeing contraataca a Bombardier.

https://airgways.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/04/16655262-14609702254488316.png?w=1000

The Bombardier Challenge for the CS500

Imagen relacionadaCanadian builder Bombardier faces the challenge of developing the CS500 under pressure from Boeing in its demands

Boeing is concerned about stopping Bombardier‘s advance with the launch of the CS500, a 160-189 passenger aircraft concept that puts it in frank competition with the Boeing 737 MAX and the Airbus A320NEO.

The demands of Boeing
Does Boeing pose a threat to the development of the CSeries family? From Boeing explain: «No, not at all, as long as the Canadian manufacturer does not implement their plans to stretch the aircraft.» Americans are eager to avoid it.

Boeing counterattacks Bombardier. Boeing claims that «the Canadian aircraft manufacturer can not base the C-Series through state participation and state loans at heavily subsidized rates,» he complained in a petition to the United States competition authority. «The 100-150 seat market is very important to us,» said Boeing Vice President Ray Conner at a recent hearing on the Washington case. Bombardier urges its company with dumping prices in this business. Boeing has with the Boeing 737-700, only one aircraft on offer, which is about nearly equal in capabilities with the Bombardier CS300.

Boeing claims that Bombardier sold to the American airline Delta Air Lines 75 CS100s at a rate of $ 19.6m each aircraft, which amounts to «dumping» of prices due to Canadian government «subsidies» received in a bailout. Boeing told the US International Trade Commission in a May 24 closing statement that Bombardier will essentially become the next Airbus if the ITC does nothing to penalize Bombardier by hitting 79% of prices on The Delta plane.

AW-7008965

Bombardier missed its biggest opportunity to develop the CS500 as a competitive aircraft for the Boeing 737 and the Airbus A320. Boeing says the CS500 will kill the Boeing 737-800. But this model is scheduled to come out of production in 2019, long before the CS500 could go live. Boeing’s argument assumes that the 737 MAX is a long-haul aircraft. In fact, the new small plane is just around the corner, although it must exceed the economy for the development of the CS500.

Americans are afraid that Canadians could expand their range of models in the future. Bombardier talks about the development of CS500 and CS900. The two brands protected Bombardier years ago. The document from the United States competition authorities, the group warns to experience again the same as with Airbus. The Europeans grew from zero being a dangerous competitor due to the aid of the governments, as Bombardier now is it.

«At present, an extension of the development of a derivative of the CS300 is still not a problem.» Bombardier first must make sure to collect additional orders for current models. Canadians could not lift an evolution of the Canadair Series, «said program director Rob Dewar, because a year ago he said» Right now it’s not a problem. » A \ W

AIRGWAYS ® Icon-AW

Norwegian to start flights to USA without «MAX»

Norwegian Air carrier to start transatlantic flights but without Boeing 737 MAX

The commercial aircraft maker Boeing has delayed some deliveries of the Boeing 737 family’s newest aircraft. In this way the delay in the delivery of the new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to Norwegian Air puts the airline in check in a few days Of the launch of the transatlantic flights, where it had already scheduled to make its inaugaral flight with the 737 MAX.

Some setbacks arose in Boeing due to flaws detected by the manufacturer General Electric-Snecma in the LEAP 1B engines and that caused the paralysis of the test flights by the manufacturer Boeing, they begin to disrupt the plans of the airlines that counted on Their deliveries this May to begin their flights to the US.

In the face of delays in deliveries, Norwegian Air has restructured its transatlantic flight planning and delayed the start of planned operations with the new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft until the North American manufacturer rebuilds the planned delivery line.

In mid-June, it appears to be the approximate date of delivery of the new Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft to Noerwegian Air, a special customer of Boeing, as it has commissioned more than 100 MAX aircraft.

Norwegian Air had planned to perform the first historic feat of commercially flying a Boeing 737 MAX across the Atlantic. It seems that the transatlantic routes will have to be operated by 737-800 aircraft and has meant that the expectation that the Boeing 737-8 MAX operated a total of 42 weekly frequencies, have been reduced to 14. A stumbling block for a customer Which holds an order for 108 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft. A \ W

4ª terminal para el Aeropuerto de Sydney

AW | 2017 05 30 15:00 | AIRPORTS

AIRGWAYS ® Icon-AW

A fourth terminal at the airport will be built on what is now the Qantas jet base.

Fourth terminal for Sydney Airport

A fourth terminal at Sydney Airport for international travellers that is connected to the existing domestic terminals is part of plans to help it cope with strong passenger growth and a competing airport at Badgerys Creek in the city’s west.

According to the preliminary plans, Terminal 4 would be on the site of Qantas’ jet base sandwiched between Terminal 3 and Qantas Drive on the airport’s perimeter. A pier for the new terminal would also extend south from the domestic precinct, while «remote aprons» could be built near the northern boundary in Airport Drive.

A month after turning down its «right of first refusal» to build and operate the new airport at Badgerys Creek, Sydney Airport chairman Trevor Gerber told shareholders that three years of consultation with the federal government over Western Sydney Airport had forced it to develop detailed plans to expand its existing operations. «We think the time is about right to have some significant expansion,» he said on Tuesday, when asked how Western Sydney Airport will affect its long-term profitability. «We think the demand is clearly there, too.»

The number of passengers passing through Australia’s largest airport rose almost 6 per cent to 41.9 million last year, underpinned by a strong growth in travellers from China and other parts of Asia.

While a fourth terminal is part of the long-term plans, the airport’s priority for the next five years is a $500 million expansion of the international terminal that will include three new gates, air bridges and an expansion of baggage-claim areas.

Sydney Airport chief executive Kerrie Mather said the timeframe for construction of Terminal 4 depended on continued growth in passenger demand and the ability to redevelop the Qantas jet base, on which the airline had a long-term lease until 2020. «It would be difficult to put a timeline on [development of Terminal Four]. It will depend on demand and a precursor is being able to access the jet base,» she said.

The removal of the jet base to allow for construction of the new terminal will require the relocation of Qantas hangars to other parts of the airport, most likely to its south-east, near the third runway and General Holmes Drive.

The hangars at the jet base are used mostly for aircraft maintenance. Sydney Airport bought back the long-term lease on Terminal 3 from Qantas almost two years ago for $535 million; it had been due to expire in 2019. As part of the deal, the airport gave Qantas assurances about it having access to T3 until 2025.

Ms Mather, who revealed in March her plans to leave the top job once a replacement is found, said a new terminal would «provide new, international gates adjoining» T2 and T3. «It is important these plans remain flexible, and that we deliver an integrated solution for passengers, terminal connectivity and ground access,» she said.

She cautioned there was a «whole range of planning» scenarios to consider before construction of a new terminal could begin. Six years ago, the airport unveiled plans to break the divide between the domestic and international terminals by creating two airline-based precincts.

Under that $1 billion-plus proposal, Qantas, Jetstar and the group’s alliance partners were to be housed under one roof at the domestic terminals T2 and T3, while Virgin Australia would shift all its operations from T2 to the international terminal.

However, the airport quietly dropped the plans less than a year later because Virgin believed the move would place it at a significant disadvantage to Qantas. Virgin’s opposition was based on the argument that its passengers would take longer to drive from the central city to its operations if they were based at T1. A \ W
