A partir del 11 de Abril de 2023 Aerolíneas Argentinas restablece los vuelos en la ruta Buenos Aires/EZE—Rosario/ROS con cuatro frecuencias semanales (4Frq/S). Tras la situación de la pandemia desde Marzo de 2020 perdió su conectividad internacional con el Aeropuerto Ezeiza. El anuncio lo ha confirmado autoridades del Aeropuerto de Rosario.
La frecuencia de los vuelos se establecerán los días Martes, Jueves, Viernes y Sábados. Los vuelos permitirán un acceso rápido a los vuelos internacionales. Además, los vuelos de Rosario a Ezeiza, permitirán a los pasajeros que viajan por otras aerolíneas internacionales, conectar con viajes nocturnos, sin necesidad de pasar por el Aeroparque Jorge Newbery o utilizar servicios de transfers o remises, ahorrando tiempo y reduciendo costos de traslado. Rosario se incorpora nuevamente a otras ciudades del interior de Argentina que tienen conectividad con Ezeiza, como Córdoba, Mendoza y Tucumán.
Obras AIR El Aeropuerto Internacional de Rosario (AIR) está pasando por un proceso de ampliación. Se colocaron los parantes y se ha comenzado con el cerramiento de los vidrios del edificio anexo. El Secretario de Turismo de Esquel, Gustavo Simieli, confirmó que se trabaja en gestiones ante aerolíneas en favor de concretar nuevos vuelos en el Aeropuerto Esquel/EQS. “Desde el ámbito municipal se vienen desarrollando gestiones para la llegada de mayor cantidad de vuelos al destino. Desde el Ministerio de Turismo también se están haciendo las gestiones con la gente de JetSMART, para poder dar una solución definitiva a nuestra conectividad”. Explicó que esto se debe a que “Aerolíneas Argentinas no nos está dando la respuesta que necesitamos. El destino necesita tener cada vez más vuelos, por eso creo que la solución inmediata hoy puede ser una low cost».
Ante el aumento del tráfico de pasajeros en el destino turístico de la zona cordillerana chubutense, el Secretario de Turismo resaltó: «Estamos esperando la respuesta de Flybondi sobre las necesidades que ellos tienen, la factibilidad de operatividad del aeropuerto, y ver si desde el Ente Mixto, el Municipio, o bien la Provincia, podemos dar algún tipo de ayuda para que pueda llegar alguna de las low cost”.
De cara a la próxima temporada invernal, Gustavo Simieli informó que Aerolíneas Argentinas dispuso una promoción de venta de pasajes en cuotas sin interés para distintos destinos del país donde está incluido Esquel. En este sentido, el Secretario de Turismo indicó “es muy beneficioso para el destino, así que esperemos que la gente la pueda aprovechar”.

El Aeropuerto Rosario/SAAR ha registrado una cifra récord de pasajeros en Enero 2023. Un informe de la Fundación Banco Municipal asegura que el incremento se debe principalmente a los vuelos internacionales. GOL Linhas Aéreas incorporó Río de Janeiro con cinco frecuencias semanales (5Frq/S) los Lunes, Miércoles, Viernes, Sábados y Domingos y São Paulo con tres frecuencias semanales los Martes, Jueves y Sábados.
La mayor demanda es la frecuencia Rosario/ROS—Panamá/TPY es el destino internacional con mayor demanda con una frecuencia diaria (1Frq/D) operada por Copa Airlines, lo que permite acceder a conexiones a distintos destinos turísticos del caribe y Estados Unidos. En el sector de destinos nacionales Bariloche representa el sitio más demandado por los rosarinos.

Las cifras de estos últimos meses con la reactivación de la temporada de verano 2022-2023 ha mostrado una visible recuperación de la aeroestación rosarina luego de la irrupción de la pandemia y las restricciones que afectaron al sector en los años 2020 y 2021. El Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario cerró 2022 con un movimiento de 36.533 pasajeros en Diciembre, de los cuales 24.007 correspondieron a vuelos de cabotaje y 12.526 a rutas internacionales. Así, por el aeropuerto local pasaron un total de 391.909 pasajeros en 2022, triplicando el valor del año anterior 2021.
Los índices de aumento de tráfico es una visible recuperación de los vuelos domésticos y la reincorporación de conexiones internacionales. Sin embargo, el informe resalta que todavía queda mucho por recuperar considerando el volumen de pasajeros previo a la pandemia, que en el período 2016-2019 alcanzó en promedio a 693.100 pasajeros. ”Hay un mercado que estaba desatendido, que se estaba fugando por Buenos Aires principalmente en la medida en que Rosario no podía conectarse al exterior de manera directa. Consideran que impactaría positivamente en el turismo de la ciudad y la región. Según la Encuesta de Turismo Internacional (ETI–INDEC) en 2018 y 2019 el aeropuerto local fue la puerta de acceso a aproximadamente 2.500 turistas del exterior que cada mes llegaban para alojarse en el sector hotelero, disfrutar de la gastronomía y la oferta cultural local y realizar compras.

Durante el día Viernes 17/02 las condiciones meteorológicas no eran las adecuadas debido a un frente de componente de viento fuerte que ha obligado a las líneas aéreas a abortar sus vuelos en aproximación al Aeropuerto Buenos Aires/AEP.
El vuelo F05121 de Flybondi Líneas Aéreas realizaba la ruta Posadas/PPS—Buenos Aires/AEP despegaba con demoras, mientras la aeronave Boeing 737-8U3 matrícula LV-KHO se aproximaba al Aeroparque Jorge Newbery cuando realizó dos aterrizajes frustrados descendiendo hasta los 425 pies, unos escasos 130 metros de altitud para posteriormente levantar vuelo. En la primera ocasión, a las 16:45, volvió a subir hasta los 3.350 pies/1.020 metros y sobrevoló el Río de la Plata. Entonces lo intentó otra vez a las 17.03, ingresó por el norte del Gran Buenos Aires y, cuando estaba por perfilarse rumbo a Aeroparque se repitió la maniobra de aproximación tras descender hasta la misma altitud, abortó la maniobra. Tras estos dos intentos frustrados, el avión rumbo sur para dirigirse hacia el Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza/Ministro Pistarini/EZE, donde pudo aterrizar a las 17:28, una hora y media después de lo previsto del plan de vuelo.
Desde la aerolínea low cost explicaron que se trató de una maniobra «de procedimiento de aproximación en meteorología adversa y que resulta habitual en circunstancias como las de este Jueves a la tarde, con frente de tormenta, vientos y otras condiciones meteorológicas», explicó la aerolínea low cost argentina.
