Spirit Airlines ha obtenido dieseis franjas horarias (slots) que la aerolínea Southwest Airlines dejó en el Aeropuerto New York/Newark/EWR compitiendo con JetBlue Airways y Alaska Airlines. El Departamento de Transporte (DOT) de Estados Unidos escogió a Spirit por tener mejores condiciones para ofrecer competencia en estos horarios de alta demanda. De esta manera, Spirit Airlines podrá ofrecer ocho servicios diarios en Newark, asegurando opciones de servicio de bajo costo para los clientes de Newark, pues se afectó con la salida de Southwest en 2019 al pasar sus operaciones al Aeropuerto Nueva York/LaGuardia/LGA.

«Dada la preocupación del Departamento por las recientes cancelaciones, demoras, desafíos con el servicio al cliente y otras interrupciones operativas de las aerolíneas que han perjudicado a los viajeros, el Departamento requiere que Spirit, como condición para aceptar los tiempos, informe datos adicionales sobre las interrupciones que enfrenta su aerolínea, clientes y su capacidad para brindarles alojamiento. Estos requisitos de informes permitirán que el Departamento controle la capacidad de Spirit para cumplir con su compromiso con el cliente y le permitirán cuantificar mejor el impacto financiero de las interrupciones operativas en los viajeros», expresa el DOT en su comunicado.

Por su parte, United Airlines se opuso a la liberación de las 16 franjas horarios que hizo el DOT argumentando que empeoraría los retrasos y la congestión en Newark. Son cerca de treinta aerolíneas las que operan en el Aeropuerto Newark. Jetblue Airways se comprometió en su momento con más trabajos, mejores salarios, política de ausencia de licencias y desarrollo profesional. Esto para tener al tanto a los miembros del equipo Spirit que siguen las próximas votaciones de los accionistas donde decidirán si se fusionan con Jetblue Airways o Frontier Airlines.

JetBlue anunció en su momento que ha presentado una propuesta mejorada a la Junta Directiva de Spirit Airlines para adquirir todas las acciones ordinarias en circulación de Spirit. La propuesta de Jetblue es una actualización adicional de sus propuestas anteriores y ofrece a los accionistas de Spirit un valor demostrablemente superior, más protecciones regulatorias y el pago anticipado de una parte de la contraprestación en efectivo, un cargo mejorado por ruptura inversa de US$ 350 millones, (US$ 3.20 por acción de Spirit) y está US$ 100 millones mayor que la cantidad que ofrece Frontier.

La Provincia de Jujuy, República Argentina, ha recibido el primer vuelo desde Iguazú, Provincia de Misiones. A partir del Lunes 4 de Julio de 2022, Aerolíneas Argentinas inauguró la primera de las rutas que estrena el turismo provincial jujeño con el vuelo Iguazú—Jujuy, que tendrá dos frecuencias semanales (2Frq/S) con el objetivo de ofrecer mayor conectividad a viajeros argentinos y extranjeros.

El Vicegobernador de la Provincia de Jujuy, Carlos Haquim, junto al Ministro de Cultura y Turismo, Federico Posadas; y el Secretario de turismo, Diego Valdecantos recibieron de manera simbólica a los primeros pasajeros que arribaron a la provincia desde Iguazú, Misiones. Al respecto, el Vicegobernador indicó que “es una alegría recibir este vuelo, porque esto también genera las esperanzas de tener un país más federal. La posibilidad de interconexión entre las provincias es un avance a la apertura del turismo desde Jujuy hacia afuera y de muchos turistas que podrán llegar a la provincia desde otros centros turísticos incrementando la economía provincial”.

El mismo avión continuó viaje hacia la Ciudad de Mendoza, equipo que ha retornado el Martes 06/07 procedente de la provincia cuyana, brindando la posibilidad que el turista extranjero que visita las Cataratas del Iguazú, o que ingresa desde Brasil, no tenga que pasar por Buenos Aires para viajar hacia Jujuy.

Es el primer vuelo que conecta a Jujuy con la Región Litoral, donde Jujuy buscará seguir aumentando la conectividad federal, con la posibilidad de incrementar las frecuencias a seis vuelos diarios con Buenos Aires y cuatro vuelos semanales con Córdoba.

El vuelo AR1259 de Aerolíneas Argentinas arribará el Lunes 04/07 procedente de São Paulo/GRU, con escala intermedia en Córdoba/COR. Los vuelos tendrán una frecuencia los Lunes y Viernes (2Frq/S), en principio por tres meses. En São Paulo se hará una presentación del vuelo a operadores turísticos. Un avión Boeing 737-800 de Aerolíneas Argentinas con capacidad para 170 pasajeros, despegará el Lunes 04/07 a las 08:30 hs desde el Aeropuerto Internacional São Paulo/Guarulhos, con destino final a El Calafate. El Aeropuerto de El Calafate recibirá por primera vez un vuelo regular procedente del exterior. Hasta el momento los vuelos internacionales arribados al Aeropuerto Comandante Armando Tola fueron charters, particulares, humanitarios.

El aeropuerto y la compañía aérea han confirmado que la programación de sus frecuencias los días Lunes y Viernes se desarrollarán durante los meses de Julio, Agosto y Septiembre 2022. La Secretaría de Turismo de El Calafate, en conjunto con funcionarios de Córdoba y de Aerolíneas Argentinas organizan una presentación para operadores mayoristas de Brasil el Martes 05/07 por la mañana durante un desayuno de trabajo que tendrá lugar en el Hotel Meliá Paulista.

Aerolíneas restablece Rosario—San Martín de los Andes

Aerolíneas Argentinas ha anunciado el restablecimiento de los vuelos entre Rosario/ROS y San Martín de los Andes/CPC. Este Lunes 04/07 se anuncia el primero de los cuatros servicios semanales (4Frq/S) proyectados a partir de Julio 2022 para unir la ciudad con una de las principales plazas turísticas de la Región Patagonia. La compañía ha programado servicios dando apertura a la estación invernal. El despegue del avión de la compañía nacional se programó a las 13:10 hs desde la aeroestación rosarina hacia Chapelco. Fuentes oficiales confirmaron que también hay conexiones disponibles los Domingos, Martes y Jueves.

ROS, incremento vuelos

Los vuelos de cabotaje en el Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario/ROS se incrementaron por el aumento de la demanda durante la temporada invernal. No sólo se retomó la ruta de San Martín de los Andes, también se amplió la oferta para viajar a San Carlos de Bariloche con seis frecuencias semanales (6Frq/S). Sin demasiados lugares disponibles para la segunda quincena de este mes, los sitios dedicados al turismo ofrecen pasajes ida y vuelta desde casi AR$ 45.000 Pesos en Agosto 2022. Los precios rozan los AR$ 60.000 Pesos para acceder a un asiento en los días de mayor movimiento de Julio 2022. Además, Voceros del Aeropuerto Rosario confirmaron que Aerolíneas Argentinas incorporó dos nuevos vuelos semanales entre Rosario e Iguazú. De esta forma, la conexión con Misiones estará disponible los Lunes, Martes, Jueves y Domingos. Por su parte Mendoza tiene conectividad directa los días Lunes, Miércoles, Viernes y Domingos, mientras que a Salta los vuelos se ofrecen los Martes, Jueves, Viernes y Sábados.

EANA inauguró nuevo simulador Torre de Control en Aeroparque

El Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery/AEP de la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, ha incorporado el nuevo simulador ATC. Según la Empresa Argentina de Navegación Aérea (EANA SE), del Ministerio de Transporte de Argentina, se ha instalado y puesto en operación del ATC que consiste en una herramienta que simula ser una Torre de Control con una presentación visual de 180º, y está destinada a la capacitación continua de los Controladores de Tránsito Aéreo. Con su incorporación, el primero de una serie de simuladores que serán instalados en distintos aeropuertos del país, EANA se ubica a la vanguardia a nivel regional en el desarrollo e implementación de nueva tecnología para la industria aeronáutica.

La puesta en servicio del simulador ATC permite elevar el nivel de la instrucción, permitiendo que la simulación se realice con adecuados estándares de realismo, emulando los sistemas de comunicación y de visualización que se tiene en una torre de control real. Asimismo, puede programarse la condición meteorológica, pasando de óptima a muy reducida. El simulador está diseñado con tres posiciones de trabajo para controladores de tránsito aéreo y, en otro espacio físico lindante, para tres colaboradores que ofician de pilotos. También cuenta con un espacio para el responsable y supervisor de la sala. Dentro de las variables que pueden simularse y entrenarse se encuentra el perfeccionamiento en el manejo de situaciones poco comunes o de emergencia. Este tipo de simulacros solo puede llevarse adelante de manera práctica en esta clase de simuladores, y es muy importante que el cuerpo de controladores se mantenga entrenado para este tipo de situaciones. La capacitación práctica también radica en los cambios normativos, de infraestructura y/o tecnológicos, y es obligatoria por normativa de la Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC). Además del equipo de CTA de Aeroparque, el simulador también servirá como dispositivo de entrenamiento para los CTA de los aeropuertos de San Fernando y El Palomar, optimizando la utilización de los recursos.

Las características del proyecto permiten disponer del conocimiento adquirido en él para replicarlo en otras dependencias en donde su implementación sea requerida de acuerdo al Plan Anual de Instrucción Nacional de EANA. Además, esta herramienta resulta sumamente útil en casos de una merma importante y sostenida en el tiempo de cantidad de aeronaves atendidas, tal cual lo ocurrido durante la pandemia. Poder seguir entrenando con alta cargas de trabajo a los y las controladores/as permite que mantengan sus competencias en óptimas condiciones en todo momento.

La inauguración del simulador representa otro avance en la implementación del Plan de Modernización del Transporte promovido por el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación. Contar con una herramienta así permite llevar adelante un plan de instrucción ATC de manera dinámica, segura y a un bajo costo cuya rentabilidad se ve manifestada en la mejora de la productividad de las operaciones de los controladores de Tránsito Aéreo.

This type of drill can only be carried out in a practical way in this class of simulators, and it is very important that the controllers remain trained for this type of situation. Practical training is also based on regulatory, infrastructure and/or technological changes, and is mandatory by regulation of the National Civil Aviation Administration (ANAC). In addition to the Aeroparque CTA team, the simulator will also serve as a training device for the CTAs of the San Fernando and El Palomar airports, optimizing the use of resources.

The characteristics of the project allow the knowledge acquired in it to be replicated in other dependencies where its implementation is required according to the EANA Annual National Training Plan. In addition, this tool is extremely useful in cases of a significant and sustained decline in the number of aircraft served, such as occurred during the pandemic. Being able to continue training controllers with high workloads allows them to maintain their skills in optimal conditions at all times.

The inauguration of the simulator represents another advance in the implementation of the Transportation Modernization Plan promoted by the National Ministry of Transportation. Having such a tool makes it possible to carry out an ATC training plan in a dynamic, safe and low-cost manner, the profitability of which is manifested in the improvement of the productivity of Air Traffic Controller operations.

El faltante de trabajadores generalizados en la mayoría de los aeropuertos de Europa ante la fuerte demanda de viajes aéreos ha traído aparejado demoras en las ampliaciones de vuelos y la vulnerabilidad en el control de seguridad en muchos aeropuertos. Las aerolíneas Ryanair, Easyjet, British Airways, Aeroports de París, Brussels Airlines continúan manifestando huelgas en diferentes aeropuertos de Europa. Las cancelaciones y los retrasos son una modalidad en el viejo continente.

La alta demanda de pasajeros ha colapsado la infraestructura aeroportuaria europea pasando de estar operando en modo de restricciones sanitarias a alcanzar máximos fuera de lo común, generando una situación tensa con largas colas en los bares y restaurantes y en la zona de check-in. Este aumento de viajeros es dramático especialmente en algunos aeropuertos alemanes o británicos. Además, la falta de plantilla de trabajadores en todos lados ha puesto en jaque el control de seguridad en muchos aeropuertos. También falta personal en handling; faltan tripulantes de cabina. En España, el Ministerio del Interior contribuye al caos obligando a los turistas británicos a estar hasta hora y media en una cola esperando a que le sellen el pasaporte. En determinados países en los que algunos prestatarios de servicios a la aviación dicen que están registrando aumento de casos de Covid, lo que les obliga a revisar sus servicios. Las huelgas de varias aerolíneas como Brussels Airlines, British Airways, Easyjet, Ryanair, y una huelga de Aeroports de París han estado o aún están en huelga, provocando efecto dominó sobre muchos servicios.

Todas estas variables está generando un verdadero caos en el sistema de tráfico aéreo europeo, mientras muchos estiman que se prolongará por varias semanas.

Detendría aerolíneas perder derechos de vuelo

En la Unión Europea como en Gran Bretaña, si una aerolínea no volaba en los espacios que tiene reservados, podría llegar a perder ese derecho denominado slot, o la franja horaria de cada vuelo. Durante la crisis de la pandemia y la depresión de los viajes en avión, todo el mundo acordó suspender esta exigencia que volvió a introducirse hace unos meses. Sin embargo, el Reino Unido ha decidido volver a anular esta norma, habida cuenta de que con tantas cancelaciones, hay compañías que perderían muchos de esos derechos de vuelo. Se trata de una medida temporal adoptada con motivo del caos que se vive en la aviación. De no ser factible la cancelación del complimiento de las reglas de slots, compañías como Easyjet, British Airways y Wizz Air podrían perder derechos de vuelo. Actualmente, esta aerolíneas se encuentran cancelando la programación de muchos vuelos con cifras que llevan más de doscientos vuelos diarios.

La suspensión de los slots, lejos de mejorar las cosas, especialmente en los aeropuertos de London/Heathrow y London/Gatwick supondrá agravar más las cancelaciones. Vuelos desviarán hacia Aeropuerto Corrientes

El cierre por obras del Aeropuerto Posadas/Libertador General José de San Martín/PSS cerrará a partir del Miércoles 15/06 durante tres meses debido a obras de remodelación en la pista de aterrizaje. El aeropuerto misionero permanecerá cerrado para las operaciones aéreas comerciales hasta el 15 de Septiembre de 2022. Los vuelos comerciales deberán desviarse y algunos llegarán al Aeropuerto Internacional Corrientes/Doctor Fernando Piragine Niveyro/CNQ.

Según el Organismo Regulador del Sistema Nacional de Aeropuertos (ORSNA), los trabajos durarán tres meses en Posadas, y las aerolíneas que llegan a ese destino deberán desviar sus vuelos programados a los aeropuertos más cercanos: Puerto Iguazú y Corrientes. Sin embargo, medios misioneros indicaron que Encarnación podría ser otra ruta cercana.

Líbano llama a licitación para Terminal 2
