Problemas en Pista Aeropuerto General Pico dificultan arribo
Aerolíneas Argentinas no llegará a General Pico, Provincia de La Pampa por problemas en las condiciones de la pista de aterrizaje. Un desgranamiento en la pista sería el motivo para que la empresa no realice vuelos comerciales al norte de la provincia. Los vuelos particulares sí podrían operar con normalidad.
El Jefe del Aeropuerto de General Pico/GPO, Carlos Roldán, confirmó que Aerolíneas Argentinas no desembarcará en la ciudad para realizar vuelos comerciales. La empresa esgrimió como argumento que “un tramo de la pista en General Pico no estaría en condiciones de ser utilizada, ya que sufre de un desgranamiento”. El área afectada sería de entre 300 a 400 metros. Por este motivo, la línea aérea de bandera nacional no brindará vuelos al norte provincial, por lo menos en el corto y mediano plazo.
El Jefe del aeropuerto aseguró que se sigue trabajando en tareas de refacción e instalaciones. A mediados del mes de Junio 2022 se anunció que, durante alrededor de dos meses y mientras se realizan trabajos de reparación en el Aeropuerto de Santa Rosa, la ciudad de General Pico recibiría vuelos comerciales de Aerolíneas Argentinas. Las operaciones iban a comenzar el próximo 15 de Julio de 2022, mientras se realizan obras de remodelación en el Aeropuerto de Santa Rosa, pero el Jueves 07/07 se conoció que la pista no estaría en condiciones de operar.
Hace diez años que General Pico no recibe aerolíneas comerciales y, con el paso del tiempo, las instalaciones del Aeropuerto fueron conservadas, pero perdieron infraestructura para operar con este tipo de vuelos.

Aerolíneas Argentinas will not arrive at General Pico, Province of La Pampa due to problems in the conditions of the runway. A shelling on the runway would be the reason for the company not to carry out commercial flights to the north of the province. Private flights could operate normally.

The affected area would be between 300 to 400 meters. For this reason, the national flag carrier will not provide flights to the north of the province, at least in the short and medium term.
The head of the airport assured that work continues on renovation and installation tasks. In mid-June 2022, it was announced that, for about two months and while repair work is being carried out at the Santa Rosa Airport, the city of General Pico would receive commercial flights from Aerolíneas Argentinas. Operations were to begin on July 15, 2022, while remodeling works are being carried out at the Santa Rosa Airport, but on Thursday 07/07 it was learned that the runway would not be in operating condition.
General Pico has not received commercial airlines for ten years and, over time, the airport facilities were preserved, but they lost the infrastructure to operate with this type of flight.
