Boeing y Cargolux finalizan pedido carguero 777-8F

The Boeing Company y Cargolux han finalizado el 12/10 un pedido de diez cargueros Boeing 777-8F (10) con opciones para seis (6) aviones adicionales, con una ceremonia de firma en la sede de Cargolux en Luxemburgo. La selección del carguero más nuevo de Boeing se anunció previamente en el Salón Aeronáutico Internacional de Farnborough de este año como la opción preferida de Cargolux como reemplazo de su flota de cargueros Boeing 747-400F. Boeing and Cargolux finalize 777-8F Freighter order

The Boeing Company and Cargolux have finalized on 10/12 an order for ten Boeing 777-8F Freighters (10) with options for six (6) additional aircraft, with a signing ceremony at Cargolux’s headquarters in Luxembourg. The selection of Boeing’s newest freighter was previously announced at this year’s Farnborough International Air Show as Cargolux’s preferred choice as a replacement for its fleet of Boeing 747-400F freighters. The order was previously listed as unidentified on Boeing’s Orders and Deliveries website.

Cargolux’s choice of the 777-8F freighter underscores its commitment to establishing long-term sustainability. Airbus y China Eastern estrenen 1er vuelo combustible sostenible

China Eastern Airlines y Airbus Group han realizado el 12/10 el primer vuelo de entrega con combustible de aviación sostenible para el A320NEO. Airbus dijo el Miércoles 12/10 que su planta de Tianjin entregó un A320NEO a China Eastern Airlines que utilizó un 5 por ciento de Combustible de Aviación Sostenible (SAF) como combustible para el vuelo de entrega. Volando de Tianjin a Xi’an en la Provincia de Shaanxi, en el noroeste de China, es la primera entrega de SAF para un avión de pasillo único ensamblado por Airbus en China, abriendo el viaje verde del constructor europeo en la república Popular de China.

Airbus and China Eastern debut 1st sustainable fuel flight

China Eastern Airlines and Airbus Group have made the first delivery flight with sustainable aviation fuel for the A320NEO on 10/12. Airbus said on Wednesday 10/12 that its Tianjin plant delivered an A320NEO to China Eastern Airlines that used 5 percent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as fuel for the delivery flight. Flying from Tianjin to Xi’an in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, it is SAF’s first delivery for a single-aisle aircraft assembled by Airbus in China, opening the European builder’s green journey in the People’s Republic of China.

SAF is a sustainable alternative fuel produced from animal waste and vegetable oils and fats. Compared to traditional fossil fuels, SAF can reduce carbon emissions by up to 85 percent from raw material collection to the end-user stage. Unlike previous Airbus SAF flights in Europe, the SAF used in this delivery was purchased by Airbus from China National Aviation Fuel Group, and refined and produced by Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company with residual catering oil as feedstock. It was the first batch of domestic SAF after the large-scale production of China’s first sustainable aviation fuel industrial plant. Airbus said then all customers receiving planes at its Tianjin plant will have the option to use a portion of SAF upon delivery.

All aircraft in the Airbus family are currently certified to fly on a blend of up to 50 percent SAF mixed with kerosene. Airbus’ first flight test using 100 percent SAF on an Airbus A350 engine was conducted in March 2021, followed by an A319NEO single-aisle aircraft test in October 2021. In March 2022, Airbus completed with successful third 100 percent SAF flight test using the A380.

China Eastern Airlines began the sustainable aviation fuel journey years ago. In April 2013, China Eastern obtained the No.1 Bio-Jet Fuel Charter Flight License issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). As of the end of August 2022, the airline has been operating 427 Airbus aircraft, including 359 A320 aircraft.

ITA Airways presenta su primer Airbus A220

ITA Airways ha presentado su primer Airbus A220, un avión que forma parte de la renovación de la flota de pasillo único de la aerolínea. La aerolínea italiana comenzará a operar el nuevo avión el 16 de Octubre de 2022 y tendrá otros tres aviones del modelo este mes.
