KLM celebra 103 aniversarios con casa Aruba Delft
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines ha presentado su última casa en miniatura Delftware, mientras la aerolínea holandesa celebra sus 103º aniversarios. La nueva casita Delftware miniatura representa a la casa de la familia Ecury en Aruba. Cada año, desde la década de 1950, KLM ha producido una nueva miniatura para coincidir con el aniversario de la aerolínea el 7 de Octubre. En los últimos años, el transportista ha encargado réplicas del edificio Die Mariaen de 800 años de antigüedad ubicado en la ciudad de Den Bosch y el Teatro Tuschinski en Amsterdam.
Este año, KLM ha elegido la casa de la familia Ecury en Aruba, construida en 1929 y con una fachada con elementos clásicos, detalles de pan de jengibre caribeño y elementos decorativos locales. Es solo la segunda vez que la miniatura Delftware de KLM se basa en un edificio fuera de los Países Bajos, la primera es el Edificio Penha en Curaçao para el 85 aniversario de la aerolínea.
Aruba conmemorará un centenario de la aviación el próximo año 2023, y la casa se encuentra cerca del sitio donde aterrizó el primer avión. KLM voló por primera vez a Aruba en Diciembre de 1934 utilizando un KLM Fokker F-XVIII de triple motor y con servicios sin escalas desde Amsterdam a partir de 1974. La aerolínea actualmente opera vuelos diarios entre Amsterdam Schiphol/AMS y el Aeropuerto Queen Beatrix/AUA.
Al comentar la noticia, Marjan Rintel, CEO y Presidente de KLM, dijo: “No sé si los fundadores de KLM podrían haber imaginado en 1919 que todavía celebraríamos el aniversario de la aerolínea 103 años después. Este año lo estamos haciendo en la encantadora Aruba, un destino de KLM durante casi cincuenta años, donde hoy iniciamos las celebraciones que marcan el centenario de la aviación en la isla. KLM ha tenido muchos altibajos durante el siglo pasado, pero siempre hemos celebrado nuestro aniversario el 7 de octubre, porque queremos seguir celebrando que KLM es una empresa maravillosa que conecta los Países Bajos con el mundo. KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has unveiled its latest Delftware miniature house, as the Dutch airline celebrates its 103rd anniversary. The new Delftware miniature house represents the Ecury family home in Aruba. Every year since the 1950s, KLM has produced a new miniature to coincide with the airline’s anniversary on October 7. In recent years, the carrier has commissioned replicas of the 800-year-old Die Mariaen building located in the city of Den Bosch and the Tuschinski Theater in Amsterdam.
This year, KLM has chosen the Ecury family home in Aruba, built in 1929 and featuring a facade with classical elements, Caribbean gingerbread details and local decorative elements. It is only the second time KLM’s Delftware miniature has been based on a building outside of the Netherlands, the first being the Penha Building in Curaçao for the airline’s 85th anniversary.
Aruba will commemorate a centenary of aviation next year 2023, and the house is located near the site where the first plane landed. KLM first flew to Aruba in December 1934 using a triple-engined KLM Fokker F-XVIII with non-stop services from Amsterdam beginning in 1974. The airline currently operates daily flights between Amsterdam Schiphol/AMS and Queen Beatrix/Airport. WUA.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines heeft haar nieuwste Delftsblauwe miniatuurhuis onthuld, terwijl de Nederlandse luchtvaartmaatschappij haar 103e verjaardag viert. Het nieuwe Delftsblauwe miniatuurhuisje vertegenwoordigt het huis van de familie Ecury op Aruba. Sinds de jaren vijftig brengt KLM elk jaar een nieuwe miniatuur uit ter gelegenheid van het jubileum van de luchtvaartmaatschappij op 7 oktober. De vervoerder heeft de afgelopen jaren replica’s laten maken van het 800 jaar oude Die Mariaen-gebouw in Den Bosch en het Tuschinski Theater in Amsterdam.
Dit jaar heeft KLM gekozen voor het familiehuis Ecury op Aruba, gebouwd in 1929 en voorzien van een gevel met klassieke elementen, Caribische peperkoekdetails en lokale decoratieve elementen. Het is pas de tweede keer dat KLM’s Delfts blauw miniatuur is gebaseerd op een gebouw buiten Nederland, de eerste keer is het Penha-gebouw op Curaçao voor het 85-jarig jubileum van de luchtvaartmaatschappij.
Aruba herdenkt volgend jaar 2023 honderd jaar luchtvaart en het huis staat vlakbij de plek waar het eerste vliegtuig landde. KLM vloog voor het eerst naar Aruba in December 1934 met een driemotorige KLM Fokker F-XVIII met non-stop diensten vanuit Amsterdam vanaf 1974. De luchtvaartmaatschappij voert momenteel dagelijkse vluchten uit tussen Amsterdam Schiphol/AMS en Koningin Beatrix Airport/AUA.
In reactie op het nieuws zei Marjan Rintel, CEO en president van KLM: “Ik weet niet of de oprichters van KLM in 1919 hadden kunnen bedenken dat we 103 jaar later nog steeds het jubileum van de luchtvaartmaatschappij zouden vieren. Dit jaar doen we het in heerlijk Aruba, al bijna vijftig jaar een KLM-bestemming, waar we vandaag de aftrap geven voor de viering van het honderdjarig bestaan van de luchtvaart op het eiland. KLM heeft de afgelopen eeuw veel ups en downs gehad, maar we hebben ons jubileum altijd op 7 oktober gevierd , omdat we willen blijven vieren dat KLM een prachtig bedrijf is dat Nederland met de wereld verbindt. Daar mogen we trots op zijn”.
