La aerolínea más importante del mundo, American Airlines, ha anunciado la eliminación de la First Class de todos los vuelos internacionales. En un movimiento inusual, la aerolínea estadounidense ha dicho que no venderá asientos de primera clase en vuelos internacionales por la misma razón que otras compañías dejan de vender cierta mercancía, debido a que ha disminuido abruptamente la venta de ese producto. De todas maneras, los asientos premium seguirán existiendo. Un Airbus A330-300 de Korean Airlines, registro HL7525 que realizaba el vuelo KE-631 desde Seúl/INC, Corea del Sur, a Cebu City/CEB, sufrió un accidente el 24 de Octubre de 2022. El vuelo transportaba 162 pasajeros y 11 tripulantes, había dado la vuelta a baja altura dos veces después de acercarse a la Pista 22 de Cebú, subió de nuevo a 5000 pies y aterrizó en la Pista 22 de Cebú a las 23:07L (15:07Z) unos 55 minutos después de la primera y unos 42 minutos después del segundo intento de aterrizaje. El avión cruzó el extremo de la pista a unos 80 nudos sobre el suelo y se detuvo a unos 360 metros/1.200 pies más allá del final de la pista cerca de la cerca perimetral del aeropuerto. Aerolíneas Argentinas ha informado la incorporación de rutas hacia Brasil como parte del aumento de la disponibilidad de plazas para la temporada de verano 2022-2023. Las ciudades de conexiones directas desde Argentina hacia Brasil que se suman son Rosario, Mendoza, Córdoba.

Las nuevas rutas para la temporada estival 2022-2023 corresponden a cuatro rutas directas a partir de la primera semana de Enero de 2023: Mendoza/MDZ—Río de Janeiro/GIG, Córdoba/COR—Río de Janeiro/GIG, Córdoba/COR—Florianópolis/FLN y Rosario/ROS—Florianópolis/FLN. Como parte de las nuevas incorporaciones de rutas aéreas, Aerolíneas Argentinas estrenará la ruta entre Mendoza y Rio de Janeiro, lo que permitirá conectar por primera vez Mendoza con la región carioca. La agencia Aerocivil Colombia ha manifestado que las solicitudes de operación de las líneas aéreas colombianas se encuentran aprobadas con las acreditaciones aeronáuticas respectivas para iniciar operaciones hacia Venezuela. Mientras tanto, el Instituto Nacional de Aeronáutica Civil de Venezuela (INAC) continúa dilatando las aprobaciones respectivas para volar entre Venezuela y Colombia y viceversa.

Las líneas aéreas colombianas aprobadas por parte de ambos reguladores continúan a la espera de las tramitaciones finales para reiniciar las operaciones aerocomerciales. Avianca Airlines ha cumplimentado con los requisitos con Aerocivil y el INAC para el inicio de las operaciones aéreas entre ambos países para atender la ruta Bogotá—Caracas—Bogotá, con siete frecuencias semanales (7Frq/S). Wingo cuenta con autorización para la ruta Bogotá—Caracas—Bogotá, con siete frecuencias semanales (7Frq/S). La ruta Medellín—Caracas—Medellín posee siete frecuencias semanales (7Frq/S), pendiente de aprobación por parte del INAC. La ruta Bogotá—Valencia—Bogotá, con siete frecuencias semanales (7Frq/S), se acreditaron los requisitos aeronáuticos y está en trámite la autorización de operación. Latam Airlines Colombia ha cumplimentado las regulaciones de la Aerocivil de Colombia y del INAC en Julio de 2022 para la ruta Bogotá—Caracas—Bogotá, con siete frecuencias semanales (7Frq/S).

Las aerolíneas venezolanas que han manifestado enlazar Venezuela con Colombia han cumplimentado los requisitos aeronáuticos correspondientes, mientras que la Aerocivil de Colombia ha aprobado las solicitudes de las líneas aéreas venezolanas. Laser Airlines ha alcanzado las reglamentaciones por parte del INAC para cubrir las rutas Maiquetía—Bogotá—Maiquetía con siete frecuencias semanales (7Frq/S) y Maracaibo—Bogotá—Maracaibo, con siete frecuencias semanales (7Frq/S). Avior Airlines posee aprobado su solicitud de operador aéreo para realizar vuelos entre Venezuela y Colombia. Turpial Airlines posee la aprobación de la Aerocivil de Colombia para la realización de vuelos charter y continúa pendiente las aprobaciones de la agencia aeronáutica venezolana INAC.

Venezuela delays guarantee to restore air operations

Venezuela continues to delay the guarantees of the airlines to restart air operations, affecting six companies that have complied with the requirements of the Colombian Civil Aeronautics regarding technical and administrative approvals to fly between Colombia and Venezuela. Avior Airlines has approved its application for an air operator to carry out flights between Venezuela and Colombia. Turpial Airlines has the approval of the Aerocivil of Colombia to carry out charter flights and the approvals of the Venezuelan aeronautical agency INAC are still pending.
