Es probable que el Senado de Estados Unidos no otorgue a The Boeing Company una extensión del plazo de certificación para las versiones Boeing 737-7 MAX y Boeing 737-10 MAX. Senate would not extend the term for homogeneous certification
The US Senate is not likely to grant The Boeing Company an extension to the certification deadline for the Boeing 737-7 MAX and Boeing 737-10 MAX versions. Boeing would only have until December 2022 to demonstrate the airworthiness of the 737-7 MAX and 737-10 MAX to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) has proposed extending Boeing’s deadline to September 2024 by attaching an amendment to the US Senate’s annual defense bill. However, the latest version of the bill reportedly does not include the crucial amendment.
The Boeing 737 MAX was initially grounded after serious design flaws led to two plane crashes that killed 346 people. Since then, 737 MAX aircraft have been conditionally cleared by the FAA for re-entry into service under strict safety regulations. The country’s civil aviation regulatory agency required Boeing to make several significant changes to the 737 MAX before it could be properly recertified.
Major pilot unions are divided on the issue. The Southwest Airlines pilots union, SWAPA, supports an extension of the deadline, while the American Airlines pilots union, APA, opposes the American construction company being granted an extension. Without the extension, the controversial Boeing 737-7 MAX and Boeing 737-10 MAX aircraft would not be able to fly in the United States until recertified.

Boeing y Cargolux finalizan pedido carguero 777-8F
The Boeing Company y Cargolux han finalizado el 12/10 un pedido de diez cargueros Boeing 777-8F (10) con opciones para seis (6) aviones adicionales, con una ceremonia de firma en la sede de Cargolux en Luxemburgo. Boeing and Cargolux finalize 777-8F Freighter order
The Boeing Company and Cargolux have finalized on 10/12 an order for ten Boeing 777-8F Freighters (10) with options for six (6) additional aircraft, with a signing ceremony at Cargolux’s headquarters in Luxembourg. The selection of Boeing’s newest freighter was previously announced at this year’s Farnborough International Air Show as Cargolux’s preferred choice as a replacement for its fleet of Boeing 747-400F freighters. The order was previously listed as unidentified on Boeing’s Orders and Deliveries website.
Cargolux’s choice of the 777-8F freighter underscores its commitment to establishing long-term sustainability. Europe’s number one cargo airline has a long-standing commitment to strong operations and the 777-8 Freighter offers reduced emissions, noise, as well as the lowest fuel use and operating costs per tonne of any large freighter.

Airbus y China Eastern estrenen 1er vuelo combustible sostenible
China Eastern Airlines y Airbus Group han realizado el 12/10 el primer vuelo de entrega con combustible de aviación sostenible para el A320NEO. China Eastern debuts A320NEO SAF
Airbus and China Eastern debut 1st sustainable fuel flight
China Eastern Airlines and Airbus Group have made the first delivery flight with sustainable aviation fuel for the A320NEO on 10/12. Airbus said on Wednesday 10/12 that its Tianjin plant delivered an A320NEO to China Eastern Airlines that used 5 percent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as fuel for the delivery flight. Flying from Tianjin to Xi’an in northwest China’s Shaanxi Province, it is SAF’s first delivery for a single-aisle aircraft assembled by Airbus in China, opening the European builder’s green journey in the People’s Republic of China.
SAF is a sustainable alternative fuel produced from animal waste and vegetable oils and fats. Compared to traditional fossil fuels, SAF can reduce carbon emissions by up to 85 percent from raw material collection to the end-user stage. Unlike previous Airbus SAF flights in Europe, the SAF used in this delivery was purchased by Airbus from China National Aviation Fuel Group, and refined and produced by Sinopec Zhenhai Refining & Chemical Company with residual catering oil as feedstock. It was the first batch of domestic SAF after the large-scale production of China’s first sustainable aviation fuel industrial plant. Airbus said then all customers receiving planes at its Tianjin plant will have the option to use a portion of SAF upon delivery.
All aircraft in the Airbus family are currently certified to fly on a blend of up to 50 percent SAF mixed with kerosene. Airbus’ first flight test using 100 percent SAF on an Airbus A350 engine was conducted in March 2021, followed by an A319NEO single-aisle aircraft test in October 2021. In March 2022, Airbus completed with successful third 100 percent SAF flight test using the A380.
China Eastern Airlines began the sustainable aviation fuel journey years ago. In April 2013, China Eastern obtained the No.1 Bio-Jet Fuel Charter Flight License issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC). As of the end of August 2022, the airline has been operating 427 Airbus aircraft, including 359 A320 aircraft.

China Airlines lanzará vuelos desde Taipei a Da Nang en Vietnam

China Airlines to launch flights from Taipei to Da Nang in Vietnam
China Airlines will start a service from Taipei/TPE to Da Nang/DAD, Vietnam from January 2, 2023 with five weekly frequencies (5Frq/S). The airline will operate the three-hour Taipei-Da Nang flights on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. The route will be operated by the airline’s new A321NEO aircraft, following the launch of services to Cebu in the Philippines and Chiang Mai in Thailand. The A321NEO aircraft is configured with 180 seats with Business Class (12), Economy Class (168). The airline says the route will meet Taiwanese demand for travel to Vietnam and more flexibility in passenger itineraries.
China Airlines also operates up to thirty flights between Taiwan and North America each week, allowing travelers to visit the two regions. It recently debuted on the Taipei/TPE—Tokyo-Haneda/HND route. In the statement, the airline also mentioned that it had doubled the number of services on Southeast Asian routes in the last quarter. Starting October 2022, the Kaohsiung/KHH—Manila/MNL route will be increased to three flights a week and services on the Taichung/RMQ—Ho Chi Minh/SGN route will resume starting November 18, 2022 with four direct flights per week (4Frq/S). Later, Kaohsiung/KHH—Bangkok/BKK services will resume from January 2023, which means those from central and southern Taiwan will no longer have to travel to northern Taiwan. The airline added that it is increasing its total number of passenger-carrying flights by 50 percent in 4Q2022 in anticipation of the reopening of borders.

The Boeing Company said on Tuesday 10/11 that deliveries rose in September 2022 to 51 aircraft, while orders rose by 90 as the planemaker continues to see strong demand for new planes. The announcement marks major program deliveries across its commercial and defense operations for the third quarter of 2022.

ANA lanza vuelos sostenibles ruta Tokio—San Francisco
All Nippon Airways (ANA) comenzará a operar en su avión ‘Green Jet’, comenzando con la ruta Tokio/Haneda/HND—San Francisco/SFO el 5 de Octubre de 2022. Los planes para dos aviones Boeing 787 de temática sostenible cuentan con una librea ‘ANA Future Promise’, que lleva el nombre de su Programa Ambiental, de Responsabilidad Social y Gobernanza (ESG), con el logotipo de la Iniciativa de Vuelo SAF y el motivo de agua en el lado derecho del fuselaje.
El número de avión JA871A entrará en servicio en rutas internacionales mañana, con un segundo avión para servir rutas nacionales a partir de Noviembre 2022. La superficie de la aeronave cuenta con un material especial de película de costilla efecto aleta de tiburón, desarrollado por Nikon Corporation, que está diseñado para contribuir a la reducción de las emisiones de CO2 a través de la disminución de la resistencia a la fricción del aire durante el vuelo. En el interior, los asientos contarán con fundas de reposacabezas hechas con dos materiales de cuero vegano. El primero es de la start-up Appcycle, que ha desarrollado cuero sintético a partir del residuo de jugo de manzanas cultivadas en la prefectura de Aomori, y el segundo es el cuero artificial granulado ‘Ultrasuede’ de Toray Industries. También habrá iluminación verde y música de fondo que evoca la riqueza de la naturaleza, y las azafatas lucirán delantales diseñados con hojas y motivos de agua.

ANA launches sustainable flights between Tokyo and San Francisco

There will also be green lighting and background music that evokes the richness of nature, and the hostesses will wear aprons designed with leaves and water motifs.

Embraer confirma acuerdo financiamiento brasileño para SkyWest
SkyWest Airlines, Inc. está esperando ansiosamente sus últimas incorporaciones a su flota gracias a un acuerdo financiero con el gobierno brasileño. SkyWest Airlines, Inc. is eagerly awaiting its latest additions to its fleet thanks to a financial agreement with the Brazilian government. Embraer recently announced that Brazil’s National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) has approved financing for the export of six Embraer E175 (6) commercial aircraft to the North American regional airline. The aircraft will be delivered until the end of the year under previously announced existing orders with Embraer. Overhead carry-on bins are a bit snug for large carry-ons, but again, this is common for planes of their size. Passengers tend to like the E175 due to the lack of center seats, but also the large proportion of first class seats.
One of the key features of the E175 is its great jet feel. It just doesn’t feel cramped, and the large windows offer a great view while providing plenty of natural lighting to enhance the feeling of spaciousness. The jet offers a maximum cruise speed of Mach 0.82, a range of 2,200nm, and a service ceiling of 41,000ft. Delta Connection flights use the E175SC, which features specially designed wingtips and other fuel-saving devices that provide improved economic performance. Embraer claims that these devices reduce CO2 emissions by 6.4 percent.

Frontier presenta avión comercial más eficiente en combustible
Frontier Airlines ha presentado oficialmente el Martes 11/10 su primer avión Airbus A321NEO ultra eficiente en combustible en un evento en el Aeropuerto Internacional de Tampa/TPA. El A321NEO posee una configuración de 240 asientos, impulsado por los innovadores motores GTF de Pratt & Whitney, será el avión comercial más eficiente en combustible entre cualquier aerolínea estadounidense. The launch event took place at the Airborne Maintenance and Engineering Services facility at TPA. Frontier operates a crew base at TPA and is the airport’s third-largest airline based on destinations served. The event included a large contingent of team members from Frontier, Airbus, Pratt & Whitney and TPA who came together to celebrate the special milestone.
