Laser Airlines tramita vuelos hacia Estados Unidos
La aerolínea venezolana Laser Airlines ha anunciado los planes para iniciar vuelos hacia Estados Unidos. La compañía ha solicitado ante las autoridades del Departamento de Transporte de Estados Unidos (DOT) para establecer la conexión con Venezuela. La línea aérea planea establecer vuelos entre los Aeropuertos de Caracas/CCS, Valencia/VLN y Maracaibo/MAR con el Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami/MIA.
En Octubre 2011 Laser Airlines había planificado ante el DOT volar a Estados Unidos, pero no había prosperado la solicitud por problemas de índoles políticos. Oportunamente, la aerolínea venezolana deseaba establecer la conexión Caracas/CCS–Fort Lauderdale/FLL, Valencia/VLN–Fort Lauderdale/FLL y la Isla de Margarita/PMV–Fort Lauderdale/FLL. Sin embargo, el DOT nunca respondió a esta solicitud.
Tras el cambio político, Laser Airlines renueva sus esperanzas nuevamente con las solicitudes para los vuelos hacia Estados Unidos., enviando la solicitud 04/02 al DOT. En este nuevo intento, ha destacado que se mantienen comprometidos con atender el mercado estadounidense. Las posibles aprobaciones requerirán implementar requerimientos que impondrán desde Estados Unidos, entre ellos, realizar operaciones con aeronaves registradas en Estados Unidos, pues Venezuela se encuentra en la Categoría 2 (CAT-2) por la Administración Federal de Aviación (FAA), reglamentan que las aeronaves procedentes de Venezuela no puedan desarrollar operaciones hacia Estados Unidos.
En Mayo 2019, la FAA suspendió todo vuelo entre Estados Unidos y Venezuela. Laser Airlines había buscado diferentes métodos para volar de manera indirecta hacia Estados Unidos, como realizar alianzas con World Atlantic Airways y Swift Air. Con un cambio del giro político, la línea aérea se encuentra esperanzada por reactivar la ruta Venezuela-Estados Unidos en un intento por restablecer un mercado próspero para la industria del transporte aéreo.

La ruta hacia Neuquén tendrá dos frecuencias semanales (2/Frq/S) los días Lunes/Viernes; mientras que las frecuencias entre Córdoba—Neuquén serán de dos frecuencias semanales Martes/Jueves (2Frq/S). Desde la compañía aclaran que las conexiones se habilitan según la demanda que se viene registrando y la situación epidemiológica de las distintas provincias.
Los trabajadores del Aeropuerto de Neuquén siguen reclamando respuestas ante la incertidumbre por sus puestos laborales ya que en octubre próximo vence la concesión de Aeropuertos Neuquén S.A, empresa que forma parte de Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 de Eduardo Eurnekián. En este marco, el próximo viernes realizarán una nueva medida de fuerza con retención total de tareas, por lo que los vuelos de ese día podrían verse afectados. La Secretaría de Turismo (SECTUR) de México ha expresado su preocupación debido a la fuerte baja de los vuelos vacacionales. Especialmente la afluencia de canadienses este año es menor a la registrada en la temporada de 2020. La cancelación de vuelos de cuatro líneas aéreas de origen canadiense afecta de manera considerable la afluencia de este segmento turístico en Acapulco.
El destino Acapulco ha sufrido un brusco descenso del número de aerolíneas operativas como así del tráfico de pasajeros entre 2020-2021. Entre las líneas aéreas que suspendieron sus vuelos a los destinos de playa como Acapulco, están las aerolíneas canadienses Canada Rouge, Air Transat, WestJet Air y Sunwing Airlines.
La Secretaría de Turismo Municipal de Acapulco, a cargo de José Luis Basilio Talavera, dijo que la afluencia de canadienses ha disminuido considerablemente. El tráfico total que atendía en 2018 era de 739.120 pasajeros, un incremento del 9,7% respecto al año anterior. En 2019, la demanda ha sido de 875.315 con un aumento de 18,4% interanual.
Las líneas aéreas operativas en el Aeropuerto Internacional Acapulco son: Aeromar, Aeroméxico, Air Transat, American Eagle (estacional), Interjet, Magni Charter, United Express (estacional), VivaAerobús, Volaris Airlines. El Aeropuerto Internacional de la Ciudad de México en la Ciudad de México, así como vuelos menos frecuentes de otras ciudades mexicanas, estadounidenses y canadienses. En 2020 tenía un registro de poco más de cinco mil turistas canadienses. «El sector turístico procedente de Canadá es muy común en Acapulco durante estos meses, pero en estos momentos está siendo afectado también y esto representa una derrama económica perdida para el sector empresarial”, sostiene el Secretario de Turismo.
