Wizz Air ha anunciado una nueva base en Sarajevo, su segunda en Bosnia y Herzegovina después de Tuzla. Comenzará el 20 de Mayo de 2021 e inicialmente tendrá nueve rutas. Las rutas se centran hacia Alemania, Suiza y Escandinavia. Ninguna de las nuevas rutas de Wizz Air tendrá competencia directa, y sólo dos tendrán competencia indirecta de Sarajevo.

Aerolíneas Argentinas ha establecido una nueva programación para Febrero 2021 que incluye la siguiente programación: cuatro vuelos semanales a Miami (4Frq/S); un vuelo semanal a Madrid (1Frq/S); y dos vuelos semanales a Cancún (2Frq/S), que volverá a tres en la última semana de este mes. Respecto a los vuelos a Brasil, Aerolíneas Argentinas irá reduciendo las frecuencias semanales en forma progresiva: de ocho viajes a Río de Janeiro y San Pablo se pasará a seis en la primera semana y a cinco en la segunda, aunque para la ciudad paulista volverá a subir a seis en la tercera semana de Febrero 2021. Por el contrario, en otros destinos subirán las frecuencias, ya que no están alcanzados por la nueva disposición del Gobierno. Santa Cruz (Bolivia) pasa de dos a cuatro vuelos semanales (4Frq/S); Lima, de dos a tres (3Frq/S); Bogotá, de uno y dos vuelos semanales pasa a tres la primera semana y dos las semanas siguientes.
American Airlines ha confirmado que a partir de Febrero 2021 reduce sus operaciones en Buenos Aires: mantendrá su servicio diario a Miami (1Frq/D) y tendrá tres vuelos semanales a Dallas (3Frq/S). “Trabajaremos para reacomodar a nuestros clientes impactados”, señalan desde la compañía.
Europa
KLM Airlines y Alitalia habían anunciado anticipadamente una suspensión temporaria de sus vuelos a la Argentina por restricciones de los gobiernos de Países Bajos e Italia. En el caso de KLM la suspensión es por un mes, mientras que Alitalia no tendría vuelos en Febrero ni en Marzo. Air France ha comunicado que tendrá dos vuelos semanales, más un vuelo exclusivo de carga, entre Buenos Aires y París. Air Europa, que contaba con tres frecuencias semanales (3Frq/S), informará los cambios en el transcurso de esta semana. En tanto, desde Lufthansa indicaron que durante Febrero 2021 operarán dos veces por semana a Frankfurt los Lunes y Sábados (2Frq/S) y una vez por semana a Zurich (Viernes), está última servida por la subsidiaria Swiss International Airlines. El resto de las empresas está aún definiendo sus nuevos cronogramas para los próximos días. En general, los pasajeros de los vuelos cancelados son reubicados en otros vuelos o pueden solicitar la reprogramación de sus viajes.
Agencias de turismo
Desde las agencias de turismo señalaron que son las más afectadas por los cambios y reprogramaciones porque les demanda un trabajo de gestión extra. “Desde la reapertura, las empresas aéreas nunca volvieron a las frecuencias anteriores a la pandemia y fueron manejando la oferta de acuerdo a la demanda, por eso los pocos vuelos que hay van más o menos llenos. Las agencias ahora tienen el trabajo interno de realinear los vuelos”, explicaron desde Avantrip. En cuanto a la demanda de viajes internacionales, señalan que a pesar de las restricciones algunos destinos se mantienen con una demanda estable, como Miami y el Caribe. Mientras que Brasil no levantó y las ventas no estuvieron de acuerdo a las expectativas previas. “Los clientes no toman la reprogramación como un castigo y muchos buscan reprogramar por su cuenta, porque no quieren viajar ahora”, señalaron. En el caso de la suspensión de los vuelos, no hay muchas más opciones que reprogramar, según explicaron desde las principales agencias de turismo. La recomendación para todas las personas que tengan tickets aéreos para febrero es que deben confirmar su vuelo con sus aerolíneas antes de ir al aeropuerto.

La filial Colombia se ha acogido junto con el Latam Airlines Group al Capítulo 11 de la Ley de Quiebras de Estados Unidos el 26 de Mayo de 2020 y espera salir de este proceso en el segundo semestre de 2021.

El acuerdo de aumentos de frecuencias ha sido establecido en la reunión llevada a cabo en la Gobernación de Misiones entre el Ejecutivo Provincial Herrera Ahuad y el CEO de Aerolíneas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani.
Elevando a catorce frecuencias semanales, los aumentos se focalizan en las fechas de Carnaval, Semana Santa y Vacaciones de Invierno, con ofertas especiales para los usuarios del transporte aéreo. En la reunión también participó el Ministro de Turismo de Misiones, José María Arrúa, se destacó que la medida es uno de los elementos claves para la reactivación del sector turístico en Misiones. Así, el incremento de frecuencias aéreas en concordancia con el aumento de acciones de promoción y comercialización permitirá potenciaran el turismo en la región.
Desde el Gobierno de Misiones se destacó el rol fundamental de Aerolíneas Argentinas en un destino como Iguazú, permitiendo en un 30% de la demanda utilizar al transporte aéreo para arribar al destino turístico de las Cataratas del Iguazú. El Ministerio de Turismo de la provincia han establecido que en la segunda etapa del año 2021 se continuará trabajando en conjunto en la propuesta de utilizar a la ciudad de Puerto Iguazú como eje de conexiones con vuelos regionales.

Todo el cronograma se encuentra sujeto a cambios dependiendo principalmente de la situación de la crisis sanitaria en el país, como así también por la demanda.
Vuelos exterior
Aerolíneas Argentinas informa que se extiende la prohibición de ingreso de extranjeros. El comunicado de la aerolínea expresa, «Cumplimos en informarles que se ha extendido hasta el 28/02/2021 el decreto que prohíbe el ingreso de extranjeros al territorio argentino. Por tal motivo se solicita verificar que, en el caso que tengan pasajeros viajando de aquí hasta el 28/02 y no posean DNI para extranjeros, los mismos no podrán ser embarcados hacia la República Argentina».

El Fokker F28 MK-1000 de LADE (Líneas Aéreas del Estado) arribó al Aeropuerto Valle del Conlara este Viernes 29/01 a las 16:00 hs con 50 pasajeros y despegó rumbo a Ezeiza, a las 17:00 hs, con 5 personas a bordo. En un trabajo en conjunto entre la Secretaría de Transporte y la Secretaría de Turismo, se logró recibir a los primeros pasajeros provenientes de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. “Toda la operación se desarrolló de manera impecable y los turistas que llegaron a la provincia quedaron asombrados del excelente estado de las instalaciones del Aeropuerto Internacional Valle del Conlara”, manifestó el Jefe Administrativo del Ente de Desarrollo Aeronáutico, Maximiliano Cruceño. El funcionario celebró que el avión llegará con su capacidad máxima de pasajeros, quienes cumplieron con todos los protocolos sanitarios, y destacó el trabajo que se realizó durante los últimos meses para poner en condiciones al aeropuerto. “Se hicieron muchas obras para garantizar la operatividad”, comentó.

American Airlines se encuentra incorporando en el mes de Marzo 2021 vuelos nacionales con las aeronaves Airbus A321T (Transcontinental) permitiendo expandir sus servicios punto a punto, considerando el mejor jet nacional de la aerolínea para este tipo de operaciones. El transportista con sede en Dallas/Fort Worth presentó su horario de Marzo de 2021, que incluía la bienvenida para los viajeros de largo recorrido nacional.
A321 Transcontinental
El jet Airbus A321T, es una configuración especial de American Airlines equipado con sólo 102 asientos, convirtiéndose en el estilo de mayor cantidad de asientos premium de toda la flota. Tiene una cabina Flagship First (10), en Flagship Business (20) y 72 pulgadas con la mitad en la configuración Extra-legroom Main Cabin Extra. Al añadir vuelos a DFW, Sun Country apunta directamente al mercado de American. Los vuelos al Condado de Orange arrancan el 6 de Mayo de 2021, en horario de Jueves a Domingo (4Frq/S). Los vuelos al Aeropuerto Gustavo Díaz Ordaz de Puerto Vallarta comienzan el 28 de Mayo de 2021, con frecuencias los Lunes y Viernes (2Frq/S). Vuelos al Aeropuerto John Wayne arrancan en US$ 49, en lo que sería la temporada de verano. Para Puerto Vallarta, los vuelos se establecen desde US$ 149.

Antes de la pandemia, más de 61.000 viajeros volaban entre SAT y Cancún cada año«, dijo Jesús H. Sáenz, director de aeropuertos del Sistema Aeroportuario de San Antonio. Sun Country está promoviendo sus tarifas introductorias especiales tan bajas como US$ 129 por trayecto por un tiempo limitado para celebrar la nueva ruta. Low-cost carrier Sun Country Airlines added new routes from DFW / International Airport to John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Sun Country becomes 11th. airline to operate at RDU and joins Allegiant Airlines, Frontier Airlines and Spirit Airlines. Delta Air Lines, which also has a hub in Minneapolis-St. Paul, is the only other airline that offers nonstop flights between MSP and RDU.
Raleigh-Durham Airport President Michael Landguth described Sun Country as an established airline known for good customer service at an affordable price. «We believe Sun Country will be a great option for leisure travelers looking to book cheap fares between the Research Triangle and the Twin Cities», Michael Landguth said in a written statement.
The Raleigh-Durham is coming off its slowest year for passenger traffic since 1987 as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to reduce air travel. Airlines now offer nonstop RDU flights to 38 destinations, up from 57 before the pandemic, but up from 25 at the low point for air travel last year. Raleigh-Durham is one of nine cities that Sun Country will begin serving from its hub in May 2021. Others include Cincinnati; Houston; Jackson Hole, Wyoming; Fairbanks, Alaska and Kalispell/Glacier National Park in Montana. Sun Country says it operates many of its routes for only part of the year to match peak leisure travel demand. The airline operates more than 85 routes to more than 50 destinations in the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. Sun Country Airlines, like other low-cost airlines, charges for other fees such as bags, carry-on bags, seat assignments and other privileges.
