British propuesta servicios para 07/2020

AW | 2020 06 06 12:10 | AIRLINES ROUTES

British Airways proposes a schedule of national and international flights for July 2020

The Government of the United Kingdom has lifted the restrictions as of July 4, 2020 that tend to alleviate the grounding of aircraft due to the global health crisis. British Airways (BA) has presented plans this week to expand the operations of its national and international flights in July 2020. The leading UK company proposes to start diversifying services from London/Heathrow International Airport to domestic flights during the month 07/2020 which include Edinburgh (20Frq/S), Belfast City (14Frq/S) and Manchester (14Frq/S). International services correspond to 29 routes that will be served from London/Heathrow to New York/JFK (1Frq/S) and Chicago/O’Hare (1Frq/S). The company uses Boeing 777-200ER/300ER, Boeing 787-8 /9/10 and Airbus A350-1000 for these routes. British Airways continues to have a vast fleet of large aircraft on the ground: Boeing 747-400 (32) and Airbus A380 (12).

Air market

Passengers’ confidence in returning to the flight remains unknown at present, so the British Airways schedule will be subject to change. The Government has established the 14-day quarantine measure for travelers arriving in effect on Monday 08/06. The controversial government proposal has received widespread criticism from the aviation and tourism industry, nearly three months after the initial shutdown.

American Samoa continues without flights connecting to Hawaii

Hawaiian Airlines has accepted a request from the Government of American Samoa to extend the suspension of flights between Honolulu and Pago Pago for another 30 days. It is the third extension request by the Government of American Samoa while continuing to fight to keep American Samoa the only US state or territory without a Coronavirus pandemic.

In his request to the airline, Governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga has cited the lack of territory test kits to carry out tests of Coronavirus to the population, much less for travelers arriving in Samoan territory, also due to the lack of equipment in the island’s hospital as well as the lack of sufficient quarantine facilities.

Hawaiian Airlines normally operates two flights per week between Honolulu and Pago Pago (2Frq/S) and adds a third during the summer summer months. The last flight of the airline was made on March 26, 2020.

Southwest relaunches Mexico and the Caribbean

Southwest announces plans to resume services to Mexico and the Caribbean

Southwest Airlines has extended its published flight schedule from October 31, 2020 to January 4, 2021. It currently plans to resume service to Mexico and the Caribbean Region through Cancun, San José/Los Cabos, Havana, Montego Bay and Nassau on July 1, 2020, subject to programming changes.

Southwest Airlines plans to relaunch several routes as the Caribbean begins to reopen for tourism, the airline said. While the launches depend on each individual destination’s reopening plans, Southwest Airlines said it would resume service to destinations in Mexico and the Caribbean. For now, Southwest plans to resume service to Havana, Cuba; Montego Bay, Jamaica; and Nassau, Bahamas as of July 1, 2020. The destinations established by Southwest have not yet diagrammed the opening of the borders of the respective countries. In Mexico, Southwest also plans to resume service to Cancun, along with flights to San José del Cabo/Los Cabos.

«Southwest continues to monitor conditions at 14 international destinations on the operator’s network map and update operating plans», the company said in a statement. The flights are available for purchase on the company’s website, Southwest said in a statement. However, it won’t be a full relaunch; however, routes will be limited. For example, Southwest will operate flights from Baltimore-Washington to Montego Bay and Nassau, not from its hub in Fort Lauderdale (FL). Flights to Havana will be operated from Tampa, Florida.

The move comes when other airlines have started resuming service to the Caribbean, especially Delta Air Lines, which is slated to resume a wave of routes to the Caribbean in June. So far, the only Caribbean destinations that plan to officially reopen are the United States Virgin Islands, which will begin operations on June 1, 2020; Saint Lucia, which announced a reopening of June 4, 2020; and Aruba, which has announced plans to reopen sometime in the second half of June.

Wizz Air la más grande de Europa

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi to begin flying in the autumn - The National

AW | 2020 05 29 14:03 | AIRLINES ROUTES

WizzAir helps Hungarians get home – Daily News Hungary

Wizz Air Europe’s largest airline

Wizz Air positions Europe’s largest airline

Wizz Air is now Europe’s largest airline in terms of seat supply, according to industry data provider OAG, making it a sign of confidence from the low-cost Hungarian airline in the European market.

Expansion in Cyprus

Europe’s leading budget airline is establishing its 28th base at Larnaca Airport, Republic of Cyprus. Wizz Air will base two Airbus A320 aircraft at Larnaca airport by July 2020. As Wizz Air establishes its base in Larnaca, the activity will create more than 100 new jobs, both with the airline and even more jobs in partner industries.

A base generally means an airport on which the airline permanently bases the aircraft and crew. For low cost, the crew does not stay overnight in hotels, they return to their own homes at the end of the day. This means that the airline will have major route operations from Larnaca Airport. The two Airbus A320 aircraft will support the operations of 11 new routes to Athens, Thessaloniki, Billund, Copenhagen, Dortmund, Memmingen, Karlsruhe/Baden Baden, Salzburg, Suceava, Turku and Wroclaw, totaling one million seats for sale from Larnaca in 2020 All of these destinations are on the government’s list for permitted arrivals in Cyprus, and this could boost the Cyprus tourism industry. At a press conference in Larnaca on Thursday 28/05, József Váradi, CEO of Wizz Air Group, said: «After ten years of successful operations at Larnaca International Airport, I am delighted to announce our new base here, as We see the potential and demand for low-cost travel in Cyprus, which is one of the most popular and rapidly developing tourist destinations. We are dedicated to developing our presence in Cyprus and offering more accessible travel opportunities to and from Larnaca, while we maintain the highest standards of our disinfection protocols».

Eleni Kaloyirou, CEO of Hermes Airports, said: The choice of Cyprus as Wizz Air Base 28 at such a crucial time for the aviation industry is a great vote of confidence for us and highlights Cyprus’s rich prospects as a destination.

Maximizing security

The airline recently announced a range of improved hygiene measures, to ensure the health and safety of its customers and crew. As part of these new protocols, throughout the flight, both cabin crew and passengers must wear face masks, and cabin crew must also wear gloves. Wizz Air planes regularly undergo an industry leading misting process with an antiviral solution and, following Wizz Air’s strict daily cleaning schedule, all of the airline’s aircraft are disinfected overnight with the same antiviral solution.

Around 600,000 visitors are expected to arrive on the island in August 2020, Transport Minister Yiannis Karousos said during the event. «We are starting the effort to restore connectivity in our country in the best possible way after having agreed with one of Europe’s largest airlines, Wizz Air, to establish a base at Larnaca airport. Initially, there will be two planes and then the number of aircraft will increase and the airline will add another 11 flights to 11 airports and seven countries to its existing routes and destinations», said the Transport Minister of Cyprus.

The benefits to Cyprus were very important, both from a tourist and financial point of view, as jobs will be created and the fact that the company’s intention is to increase passenger traffic and not compete with other airlines is also significant.

A Wizz Air Europe legnagyobb légitársasága

A Wizz Air Európa legnagyobb légitársasága

Az OAG ipari adatszolgáltató szerint a Wizz Air Európa legnagyobb légitársasága a székhellyel való ellátás szempontjából, jelezve ezáltal az alacsony költségű magyar légitársaság bizalmát az európai piacon.

Bővítés Cipruson

Európa vezető költségvetési légitársasága 28. bázisát hozza létre a Ciprusi Köztársaság Larnaca repülőterén. A Wizz Air 2020 júliusáig két Airbus A320 repülőgépet fog alapozni a Larnaca repülőtéren.

A két Airbus A320 repülőgép 11 új út üzemeltetését fogja támogatni Athénba, Thesszalonikiba, Billundba, Koppenhágába, Dortmundba, Memmingenbe, Karlsruhe/Baden Badenbe, Salzburgba, Suceavaba, Turkuba és Wroclawba, összesen egymillió ülőhely eladásával Larnacából 2020-ban.

A biztonság maximalizálása

Wizz Air Group CEO’su József Váradi, 28/05 Perşembe günü Larnaka’da düzenlediği basın toplantısında şunları söyledi: «Larnaka Uluslararası Havalimanı’nda on yıllık başarılı operasyonların ardından, burada yeni üsümüzü duyurmaktan mutluluk duyuyorum.

AW-Icon Paragraph-01

ČSA and Smartwings resume air operations in Europe

The flights were interrupted in mid-March 2020 by the Coronavirus health crisis that prevented the departure and arrival of aircraft to the Czech Republic.

ČSA Czech Airlines

Flying Blue - Czech AirlinesCzech Airlines (ČSA) has restarted its commercial operations with the opening of regular flights to Paris, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam and will add more destinations in the coming days. After more than two months of flight restrictions in Europe and worldwide, airlines are slowly starting to restart flights after the Coronavirus pandemic has decimated the coffers of airlines. Amazon.com: Herpa 558075 – CSA Czech Airlines Airbus A319 Prague ...Czech Airlines (ČSA) will resume this Monday, May 18, 2020, its regular flights to Paris, Frankfurt am Main, and Amsterdam. The company restarts its operations in the first stage or phase, while it will later reveal more destinations in the coming days. As previously reported by ČSA, the reintroduction of lines will depend on the conditions that different countries impose on passengers. First, flights to countries with fewer restrictions on the entry of foreigners into their territory have been resumed.

The first ČSA plane took off from Václav Havel Airport in Prague this morning from 05/18 at 06:55. bound for Paris. Flights to Amsterdam and Frankfurt will continue, totaling four flights for each destination, two outbound, and two return. “Paris, Frankfurt, and Amsterdam are important hubs and transshipment airports. In addition, it is usually frequented by clients who travel for business. Within the ČSA network and the SkyTeam airline alliance these are important destinations”, said the Czech airline. ČSA plans to resume more lines in the following days. For Thursday 21 May 2020, the resumption of flights to Stockholm is scheduled and for Monday 25 May 2020 to Bucharest, in Romania. The flights to Ukraine, previously scheduled to start also next week, are planned for the first days of June 2020.

ČSA thus joins the group of companies that resumed their activities at the Prague airport in early May 2020. The first to do so was the German airline Eurowings that began its flights to the German city of Düsseldorf on May 3, 2020. One day KLM then resumed its flights to Amsterdam. The only flights that have not been interrupted by the coronavirus crisis and the restrictions on air transport that it has entailed are flights from Belavia to Minsk and from Bulgaria Air to Sofia.

Smartwings

Smartwings recrute ! – PNC ContactSmartwings Group spokeswoman Vladimíra Dufková, the company wants to resume as many flights as soon as possible, but it all depends on conditions in different countries. «The frequency of flights depends on demand and also on the conditions imposed by different countries. We anticipate the start of flights to other destinations as well, but we will have to see how the restrictions will be lifted. We want to resume flights as soon as possible, if the situation allows it, it could be from mid-June”, said the Czech low-cost spokeswoman.

The Smartwings group, to which ČSA belongs, interrupted in March 2020 all its flights to and from the Czech Republic, thus leaving more than 90% of its fleet on the ground. The group, which also has divisions abroad, transported a total of 4,900 travelers in April, an amount equivalent to 1% of the volume registered in the same period in 2019. The Smartwings spokesperson explained that the cities were chosen based on its importance for air transport. During the crisis, the company dispatched, in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, repatriation flights for Czech citizens that the crisis left abroad with no possibility of returning via commercial lines.

Recently some Czech political representatives have proposed that the Smartwings group could receive help from the Government. Transport, Industry, and Trade Minister Karel Havlíček commented to Czech Television last weekend that the Czech state could buy up to a 100% stake in the airline. As indicated, the decision could be made at the end of June 2020. AW-Icon Paragraph-02

AW-CSA-AirlinesČesko obnovuje činnost v Evropě

ČSA a Smartwings obnovují letecké operace v Evropě

czech-airlines-logoV polovině března 2020 byly lety přerušeny zdravotní kronavírusovou krizí, která zabránila odletu a příletu letadel do České republiky.

ČSA České Aerolinie

České Aerolinie (ČSA) obnovily komerční provoz otevřením pravidelných letů do Paříže, Frankfurtu a Amsterdamu a v nadcházejících dnech přidají další destinace. Po více než dvou měsících letových omezení v Evropě a na celém světě letecké společnosti pomalu začínají znovu létat poté, co pandemie Coronavirus zdecimovala pokladny leteckých společností. České aerolinie (ČSA) začnou v pondělí 18. května 2020 pravidelné lety do Paříže, Frankfurtu nad Mohanem a Amsterdamu.

AW-Icon Paragraph-02
