KLM Real Compañía Holandesa de Aviación volará dos veces por semana (martes y viernes) a San José, Costa Rica

KLM iniciará las operaciones aerocomerciales a partir del 31 de octubre del 2017. “Actualmente KLM lleva un gran número de pasajeros a Costa Rica a través de Panamá. El creciente interés del mercado europeo por este hermoso país nos convenció de iniciar un vuelo directo a San José» declaró Pieter Elbers, Presidente y CEO de KLM.

La programación del vuelo se iniciará en Ámsterdam-Schiphol a las 15:25 hs. y llegará a San José a las 20:05 hs. de Costa Rica. El vuelo de regreso saldrá de San José a las 22:05 hs y llegará a Ámsterdam – Schiphol a las 15:10 horas del día siguiente. Durante la temporada de invierno, el grupo Air France-KLM ofrecerá un total de cinco vuelos semanales hacia Costa Rica, tres de ellos desde París-CDG con Air France y los dos nuevos a Ámsterdam con KLM.

El vuelo de KLM utilizará el avión más moderno de la flota, un Boeing 787-9, con capacidad para 294 pasajeros: 30 asientos en la World Business Class (clase ejecutiva de KLM), 219 en clase Economy y 45 en la zona Economy Confort.

KLM new destination Costa Rica

KLM Real Dutch Airline Company will fly twice a week (Tuesday and Friday) to San José, Costa Rica

KLM will start air-business operations from October 31, 2017. «Currently KLM brings a large number of passengers to Costa Rica through Panama. The growing interest of the European market in this beautiful country convinced us to start a direct flight to San José», said Pieter Elbers, President and CEO of KLM.

The flight schedule will start in Amsterdam – Schiphol at 15:25 hs. And will arrive in San José at 8:05 pm. from Costa Rica. The KLM flight will use the most modern aircraft in the fleet, a Boeing 787-9, with a capacity for 294 passengers: 30 seats in the World Business Class (KLM business class), 219 in Economy class and 45 in Economy Comfort zone.

La compañía aérea Norwegian Air iniciará sus vuelos transatlánticos pero sin los Boeing 737 MAX

El fabricante de aviones comerciales Boeing, tiene retrasados algunas entregas de losaviones más nuevos de la familia Boeing 737. De esta manera el retraso en la entrega de los nuevos aviones Boeing 737-8 MAX a Norwegian Air pone en jaque a la aerolínea a escasos días del lanzamiento de los vuelos transatlánticos, en donde ya tenía programados realizar su vuelo inaugaral con los 737 MAX.

Unos contratiempos surgieron en la Boeing debido a unas fallas detectadas por el fabricante General Electric-Snecma en los motores LEAP 1B y que originó la paralización de los vuelos de prueba por parte del fabricante Boeing, empiezan a trastocar los planes de las aerolíneas que contaban con sus entregas este mes de mayo para iniciar sus vuelos a EEUU.

Ante las demoras en las entregas, Norwegian Air ha reestructurado la planificación de sus vuelos transatlánticos y demorar el inicio de las operaciones previstas con los nuevos aviones Boeing 737-8 MAX, hasta que el constructor norteamericano recomponga la línea de entregas previstas.

A mediados del mes de junio, parece ser la fecha aproximada de entrega de los nuevos aviones Boeing 737-8 MAX a Noerwegian Air un cliente especial de la Boeing, ya que ha encomendado más de 100 aeronaves MAX.

Air Europa iniciará vuelo Madrid-Iguazú para Mayo 2018

La aerolínea española Air Europa efectuará vuelos hacia la ciudad turística de Iguazú, Argentina y tendrá tres frecuencias semanales, con escala en Río de Janeiro. Se busca así, posicionar a la Argentina dentro de los principales destinos internacionales.

La apertura aerocomercial argentina está permitiendo tener una alta conectividad clave para el desarrollo sustentable del turismo en la actualidad de Argentina permitiendo posicionar al país como un gran destino internacional.

El Ministro de Turismo de Argentina, Gustavo Santos, firmó una carta de intención para dar paso a un anuncio esperado: se pone en marcha la iniciativa de un tercer destino en Argentina, Iguazú desde la ciudad de Madrid. Actualmente Air Europa sirve en Argentina servicios a Buenos Aires de manera directa desde Madrid, y la ruta Madrid-Asunción del Paraguay-Córdoba. El tercer destino iguazú enlazará Madrid-Rio de Janeiro-Iguazú. Las frecuencias serán pariendo desde España los martes, miércoles y domingos para llegar a Argentina el día siguiente.

El anuncio fue dado por los directivos de la empresa junto al gobernador provincial, Hugo Passalacqua, y el ministro Santos. «Avanzamos para sumar conexiones que unen Argentina a nivel regional e internacional, nos acercan al mundo y permiten más llegadas de viajeros extranjeros», explica el funcionario Santos. «Argentina es un país que sigue creciendo, y estamos acercándolo a todos los que quieran visitarnos, utilizando todas las herramientas que están a nuestro alcance para llegar en el 2019 a tener 9 millones de turistas extranjeros anuales». «Además, con este nuevo vuelo seguimos en el camino de un turismo federal: sumamos puertas de entrada al país que no pasan por Buenos Aires», agrega. «Desde Iguazú, los viajeros pueden conectar a otros destinos, esta puede ser una puerta de ingreso para recorrer Argentina», sumó.

La Autoridad de Turismo de Nevis anuncia los planes de Delta Airlines para lanzar nuevos vuelos sin escalas a San Cristóbal y Nieves

Charlestown, ST. KITTS & NEVIS · Delta Air Lines anunció sus planes de lanzar nuevos vuelos sin escalas a St. Kitts y Nevis, incluyendo un nuevo vuelo semanal del sábado desde el Aeropuerto John F. Kennedy de Nueva York a St. Kitts, con servicio a partir del 23 de diciembre de 2017. La aerolínea también está agregando un segundo vuelo semanal de Atlanta a St. Kitts que operará el martes a partir del 9 de enero de 2018, además de los vuelos semanales del sábado entre las dos ciudades. The Nevis Tourism Authority announce Delta Airlines’ plans to launch new nonstop flights to St. Kitts & Nevis

Charlestown, ST. KITTS & NEVIS · Delta Air Lines has announced plans to launch new nonstop flights to St. Kitts and Nevis, including a new weekly Saturday flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport to St. Kitts, with service beginning Dec. 23, 2017. The airline is also adding a second weekly flight from Atlanta to St. Kitts that will operate on Tuesdays starting Jan. 9, 2018, in addition to the weekly Saturday flights between the two cities. Both flights will be operated by a Boeing 757-200 aircraft, offering 16 Business Class, 36 Premium Economy, and 108 Economy seats.

As many visitors to St. Kitts’ sister island of Nevis come through the Robert L. Bradshaw International Airport in St. Kitts, this is welcome news, especially for travelers from the New York tri-state area. «The Northeastern US has always been a prized market for tourism to Nevis so this will be very welcomed news to the growing number of travelers who visit our beautiful island,» says Greg B. SriLankan lanza Colombo-Melbourne sin escalas a partir de octubre

Los viajeros tendrán una opción sin escalas entre Australia y Sri Lanka desde octubre, cuando SriLankan Airlines comience los vuelos Colombo-Melbourne con Airbus A330-200s.

SriLankan dijo que el servicio inaugural despegaría el 29 de octubre de 2017, con Melbourne elegido para su primer destino australiano ya que aproximadamente la mitad de todos los habitantes de Sri Lanka que viven en Australia residen en Victoria. «Dado el número de ciudadanos de Sri Lanka que residen en Victoria y sus alrededores, cumplimos con una larga necesidad de un servicio directo», dijo el director general de SriLankan, Suren Ratwatte, en un comunicado el lunes.

El vuelo diario se ha programado para un servicio nocturno desde Colombo, llegando a Melbourne por la tarde al día siguiente. SriLankan said the inaugural service would take off on October 29 2017, with Melbourne chosen for its first Australian destination as about half of all Sri Lankans who live in Australia reside in Victoria. “Given the number of Sri Lankans residing in and around Victoria, we fulfil a long felt need for a direct service,” SriLankan chief executive Captain Suren Ratwatte said in a statement on Monday.

The daily flight has been scheduled an overnight service from Colombo, arriving in Melbourne in the afternoon the next day. The return flight is scheduled to takeoff from Tullamarine in early evening, for a late night arrival in the Sri Lankan capital. The are no airlines flying nonstop between Australia and Sri Lanka.

Currently, SriLankan serves Australia one-stop through Kuala Lumpur or Singapore thanks to codeshares with fellow oneworld alliance members Malaysia Airlines and Qantas, respectively.

SriLankan chief commercial officer Siva Ramachandran said there had been a “steady increase” in passengers travelling between Australia and Sri Lanka on one-stop itineraries. “Our direct services will give us a definite advantage as SriLankan is the only carrier that is able to offer connectivity of this nature at this time,” Ramachandran said. “We also offer seamless onward connections beyond Colombo to a range of destinations in the Indian sub-continent and Middle East.”

Australia’s High Commissioner to Sri Lanka Bryce Hutchesson congratulated SriLankan for launching the new route. “Direct air connections between countries stimulate two-way tourism, business, trade and people-to-people exchange which are the core ingredients for a vibrant bilateral relationship,” Hutchesson said.  A \ W

Andes Líneas Aéreas iniciará sus operaciones con nuevo destino Tucumán, Bariloche e Iguazú, se suma al nuevo destino de Termas de Río Hondo, Santiago del Estero

Inmerso en un proceso de ampliación de las rutas en el país, Andes Líneas Aéreas iniciará en septiembre de 2017 un nuevo destino, Tucumán. Bernardo Racedo Aragón, gerente comercial de la empresa, expresó esta nueva apertura al destino norteño, durante la inauguración del servicio Buenos Aires-Termas de Río Hondo, Santiago del Estero.

Andes Líneas Aéreas informó que en los próximos días se inaugurarán vuelos a las localidades de Bariloche e Iguazú y que en septiembre “estaríamos comenzando las operaciones a Tucumán y en noviembre volveríamos con los vuelos a Mar del Plata», confirmó Racedo Aragón.

«Todo esto está en el marco del programa de fortalecimiento de la flota. Recientemente hemos incorporado un Boeing 737-800 que se suma a la flota de cinco MD-83 propios con que cuenta la empresa y estimamos que para julio estaremos incorporando el segundo 737-800», detalló el ex presidente del Ente Tucumán Turismo.

El frecuencia del nuevo destino ofrecido por Andes a Termas de Río Hondo unirán Aeroparque los lunes y viernes a las 12:30 hs. para arribar a las 14:00 hs.; en tanto, desde Termas de Rio Hondo retomará a las 15:00 hs. arribando a Buenos Aires a las 16:35 hs.

Un nuevo vuelo semanal de Andes Líneas Aéreas comenzó esta semana uniendo desde el Aeroparque Jorge Newbery, Buenos Aires haciendo escala en Córdoba hacia Samaná, República Dominicana.

Samaná es destino turístico por excelencia de República Dominicana, localizada al norte de este país, por la que Andes realizó una alianzacon un grupo de touroperadores argentinos y la cadena Bahía Príncipe Hotels & Resorts, que cuenta con seis establecimientos en Samaná y Río San Juan.

El frecuencia de vuelos corresponde los días viernes a las 23.30 horas, Aeroparque-Córdoba-Samaná, arribando los días sábado a las 09.25 horas. el retorno será Samaná los días domingo, a las 10.30 horas y arribará a Buenos Aires, luego de hacer escala en Córdoba, el mismo día a las 20.25 horas.

The future of non-stop flights between Australia and Samoa is under a cloud after the Pacific nation’s government called an end to its jointly owned airline with Virgin Australia. Dissatisfaction with the venture has been simmering within the Samoan government for some time amid allegations Virgin Australia and Air New Zealand, formerly a Virgin Australia shareholder and the only other major airline servicing the island nation, had been colluding on fares, according to the Samoa Observer.

The country’s national carrier was created in 2005, with the Samoan government and Virgin Australia owning 49 per cent each and resort and hotel operator Grey Investment Group owning 2 per cent.

Virgin Samoa is the only carrier flying non-stop between Samoa and Australia, and services routes between the Samoan capital Apia and Brisbane, Sydney and Auckland.

Virgin Australia confirmed the carrier would not continue past November 12 and said it was working with the government to determine exactly when services would cease.

«We are reviewing options for operations to and from Samoa after the Virgin Samoa services conclude,» a spokeswoman said. «Any affected guests will be proactively contacted to discuss their travel options.»

Samoa’s Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi​ told the Samoa Observer he was unhappy that airfares were increasing on Virgin Samoa and that it was time for Samoa to have its own international airline, flagging that local carrier Polynesian Airlines could pick up some capacity.

If Polynesian Airlines or Virgin Australia do not fill the void, Australian travellers will likely have to divert through Auckland on Air New Zealand.

Nick Blanche, owner of tour operator Surf the Earth, sends about 300 customers to Samoa a year and said losing non-stop flights would have a «major impact» on tourism. «I think all the operators over there will be freaking out,» he said.

The government had not left enough lead-up time to have Polynesian Airlines adequately replace Virgin’s services, Mr Blanche said.
