IndiGo ordena 125 Airbus A321NEO

Resultado de imagen para A321neo

AW | 2018 11 10 11:52 | AIRLINES

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

IndiGo orders 125 Airbus A321NEO

AW-7000888IndiGo of India has ordered 125 Airbus A321NEO for service expansion

The aircraft manufacturer’s largest customer for the A320NEO is upgrading 125 of its order for the larger model the A321NEO. The last monthly Airbus order marked a big change for IndiGo Airlines of India. Indigo, one of the few Indian airlines with enough cash to expand aggressively, has been devising a way to build a long-distance, low-cost business. After a cost and market analysis they verified the need to cancel the intentions of incorporating widebodies aircraft such as the Airbus A330NEO or Boeing B787. The result was the narrowbodies’ choice to expand long international services, which is why they have ordered the A321NEO line to adapt to the new route demands.

IndiGo is operated by InterGlobe Aviation Ltd., last month it poured cold water into the prospects of buying double-aisle aircraft, saying such a purchase «is still more an aspiration than a plan». The airline, based near New Delhi, ordered 430 planes of the A320NEO family, and is expected to take its first A321NEO later this month.

High flight competition

For Airbus, it is another boost for an aircraft that is consuming much of a market that Boeing wants to try to capture with its NMA Boeing 797 potential. At the same time, the high demand for the Airbus A321 line is expanding its production facilities in Hamburg, where the A321 is mainly built, putting pressure on Airbus’s goal of delivering 800 aircraft in total to customers this year 2018. «Hamburg has had to bear most of the increase in the A321 rate, which has also highlighted part of the supply chain that is very, very involved in the A321», said Air Lease Corp. founder Steven Udvar Hazy. AW | 2018 11 10 11:09 | AIRPORTS

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

Expansion of Tenerife Sur Airport

The Airline Association of Spain (ALA) supports the expansion of Tenerife Sur Airport

The Airline Association (ALA) supported the decision of AENA to tender the expansion of the Tenerife South-Reina Sofía Airport under the criteria, as stated, of quality, efficiency and economic rationality. In a statement sent by the association that brings together more than seventy airlines, ALA ensures that the realization of functional improvements at the aerodrome is an appropriate strategic decision and that it provides an adequate response to the capacity needs to meet both current demand and planned in the near future. «In recent days there have been voices contrary to the proceedings, but we must bear in mind that AENA’s plan goes beyond thinking about having a terminal, newer and design just because», says Javier Gándara, President of ALA.

The regulatory framework in force, established in Law 18/2014 and developed through DORA 2017-2021, establishes the obligation that all airport costs be efficient, transparent, non-discriminatory and objective. In this way the airlines will be able to support the project for the investments of the Tenerife South expansion. A \ W

Emergency in the landing of a Flybondi plane in Neuquén, Argentina

The aircraft presented problems in the flaps and reported flight control problems to the tower. The flight FO-5300 of the Argentine airline Flybondi, which had departed on the morning of Friday, November 9, 2018 joining the route El Palomar-Neuquén, suffered a technical failure before landing at the Neuquén Airport and the crew had to activate the protocol of emergency.

The Boeing 737-800 with license plate LV-HKR reported an air incident and the crew of flight FO-5300 communicated with the control tower and reported flight control problems due to an inconvenience in the flaps. From the company they confirmed the incident and detailed that warning was given for prevention and to respect the protocols. «We have a problem in the flaps and decided to declare an emergency», the pilot is told after communicating with the control tower to report what was happening during the flight. Between the fear of the emergency and the bewilderment, the passengers were able to reach the airport hall and collect their luggage after 8:30 am.

«The Boeing 737-800 with license plate LV-HKR landed correctly at 08:30 a.m. at the Presidente Perón International Airport, and the emergency services were notified in a preventive manner, according to the safety protocol. Both the passengers and our crew descended without problems once the process was completed», they explained from the airline in a statement.

The aircraft landed without major inconveniences and was stranded at the eastern end of the runway and passengers had to descend there and walk through the grass to the departure lounge.

The Civil Aviation Accident Investigation Board (JIAAC) investigates if there was a hydraulic problem that caused the failure of the flaps. The ship was still stopped at the landing site under review. A \ W

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

JT610 Lion Air | Day 12

Lion Air JT610 erroneous data in AoA

The Boeing 737-8 MAX PK-LQP, MSN43000, of the Lion Air airline crashed in Java Sea on 29 October 2018, the aircraft lost altitude and crashed into the Java Sea, issuing erroneous Angle of Attack data (AoA) .

The Boeing 737-8 MAX performs the JT-610 flight from Jakarta to Pangkal Pinang (Indonesia) with 181 passengers and 8 crew, it was leaving Jakarta when the aircraft reached a maximum altitude of about 5400 feet, then lost height, contact by radar was lost at about 35nm northeast of Jakarta over the Java Sea at 06: 33L (23:3Z, 28 October 2018).

Advances of information

On November 7, 2018, Boeing issued an Operations Manual Bulletin (OMB) to all Boeing 737 MAX operators who indicated that the investigation into the PK-LQP collision found that one of the attack angle sensors had provided incorrect readings, which could cause the aircraft’s equipment system without trimming the nose to avoid a blockage during manual flight. The OMB directs «operators to the existing procedures of the flight crew to address the circumstances in which there is an erroneous entry of an AOA sensor». The OMB repeats the non-normal Runaway Stabilizer checklist.

On November 8, 2018, Basarnas reported that the CVR search is still ongoing with the ROV, the lateral scanning sonar, the ping locator and the multiple beam echo probes deployed. Basarnas wrote: «As explained above, the ping locator was able to detect the signal from the black box, but it was weak. The source of the signal is difficult to determine its position considering that the seafloor is mud with a depth of more of 1 meter». Until November 7, 2018 20: 00L 187 bags of corpses were collected and taken to the command post and then to the hospital for identification.

The KNKT reported that an attack sensor angle had been replaced on October 28, 2018 after flight JT-775 from Manado to Denpasar (the aircraft completed the subsequent flight JT-43 to Jakarta and suffered the accident of the next flight JT- 610). Later the plane flew to Jakarta, however, the crew reported that there were still problems. The search for the CVR is hampered by thick mud. A \ W
