El inicio de operaciones en el Aeropuerto Internacional Felipe Ángeles (AIFA) de México ha comenzado la cuenta regresiva para su apertura aerocomercial el 21 de Marzo de 2022. La nueva Terminal Aérea alcanzará niveles de transporte de 2.4 millones de pasajeros y unas sesenta operaciones diarias en 2022. El emblemático Aeropuerto AIFA, iniciará operaciones con la participación de dos aerolíneas comerciales de bajo costo, las cuales tienen cuatro rutas programadas hasta el momento. La aerolínea Volaris Airlines realizará vuelo con destino a Tijuana y Cancún, mientras que la compañía Viva Aerobus tiene como destino Guadalajara y Monterrey, de acuerdo con el Director General operativo de la terminal área, Isidro Pastor Román, ambas aerolíneas reportaron una venta de 1521 y 740 tickets aéreos hata la fecha 03/02. Respecto a la planificación de vuelos internacionales se esperan realizar entre dos y tres vuelos de carga internacional el 21/03, sin embargo prevén sea hasta el segundo semestre de este año que el AIFA realice vuelos para pasajeros con destino internacional por medio de la nueva aerolínea Aerala.
El pronóstico para 2022, es que el AIFA, transporte a 2.4 millones de pasajeros a través de 60 operaciones diarias, no obstante Isidro Pastor Román, detalló que se requiere trasladar a cinco millones de pasajeros al año, lo que significa 120 operaciones diarias, para asegurar la rentabilidad de la empresa aeroportuaria AIFA.

Martes 01/02 retornan vuelos internacionales al Aeropuerto Rosario
El Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario/ROS ha anunciado el retorno de las operaciones de vuelos internacionales luego de dos años sin actividad. La actividad internacional retoma con la aerolínea panameña Copa Airlines con vuelos directos Panamá—Rosario.
Este Martes 01/02 el Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario/Islas Malvinas recuperará el movimiento de pasajeros internacionales, luego de veintidós meses de inactividad. La compañía recuperará cuatro frecuencias semanales (4Frq/S) que conectará de manera directa entre Panamá y Argentina y con conexiones hacia el Caribe y Estados Unidos.
La aerolínea brasileña GOL Linhas Aéreas estaría estudiando la reactivación de sus vuelos manifestando su intención de retomar a partir de Febrero de 2022, después de suspender todos sus vuelos a destinos argentinos en Marzo de 2020, cuando la Organización Mundial de la Salud declaró la pandemia del Coronavirus y el Gobierno argentino cerró sus fronteras para vuelos regulares. GOL trabajará bajo la modalidad asociada a Aerolíneas Argentinas que atenderá los vuelos servidos por la compañía brasileña.
El último vuelo de una aerolínea extranjera en el Aeropuerto de Rosario estuvo a cargo de JetSmart Airlines Argentina, que en Octubre 2021 abandonaba la ruta Rosario—Neuquén, dejando operativa únicamente a Aerolíneas Argentinas en la aeroestación santafesina. En 2019, operaban Latam Airlines Argentina, Flybondi Líneas Aéreas, JetSmart Airlines Argentina, Avianca Airlines, Copa Airlines y GOL Linhas Aéreas.
Desde el próximo Martes 04/02, se incorporan los vuelos internacionales hacia Panamá de la aerolínea Copa Airlines, con la opción de interconexiones hacia el Caribe o Estados Unidos. En la página web de la aerolínea ya se pueden comprar los pasajes habilitados en febrero con destino a Panamá. Parten de un costo estimado de US$ 950 dólares, con fechas en las que rozan los US$ 2.000 Dólares.
El Presidente del Directorio del Aeropuerto Internacional Rosario, Eduardo Romagnoli, confirmó que Copa Airlines obtuvo la autorización de la Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC) para retomar la conexión Rosario–Panamá, a partir del 1 de Febrero de 2022. Esta solicitud se logró tras la habilitación de la terminal aérea como corredor seguro el 20 de Noviembre de 2021. “La línea aérea iniciará con tres frecuencias semanales, los días miércoles, Viernes y Domingos de madrugada. A partir del 8 de Febrero también sumará los días Sábados, por lo que serán en total cuatro frecuencias semanales. El horario estimado de arribo desde Panamá será a las 00:09 horas y el de salida se prevé a las 01:49, muy parecido a lo que realizaba antes de la pandemia”, indicó el directivo.
El Aeropuerto de Rosario suma vuelos y continúa en obras para su ampliación. “Tenemos un protocolo muy estricto y cuidado, y hemos realizado modificaciones edilicias y de funcionamiento para garantizar que los espacios de embarque y arribo sean seguros para las y los pasajeros”, señaló Eduardo Romagnoli.
“Incorporamos mayor superficie en el sector de retiro de equipajes, un total de 32 metros cuadrados más. Además, hicimos un desplazamiento del límite de la sala de arribos lo que permite una ampliación de 67 metros cuadrados. Por otra parte, la readaptación de la sala de ingreso de pasajeros desde la plataforma permite destinar mayor superficie a la sala de entrega de equipajes, con unos 25 metros cuadrados extras donde se podrán mantener las distancias físicas recomendadas”, especificó Eduardo Romagnoli. La habilitación de 124 metros cuadrados extras de superficie garantiza el distanciamiento necesario, y se suman a las medidas de control y cuidado sanitario vigente en toda la terminal aérea.

El Aeropuerto Rosario continúa con escasos vuelos producto de la prolongación de la crisis económica y sanitaria. Actualmente, Aerolíneas Argentinas cubre las rutas a Buenos Aires, Mendoza Lunes, Viernes y Domingo, Salta Martes, Jueves y Sábado, Bariloche de Lunes a Domingo, Iguazú los Lunes y Jueves y Mar del Plata los días Martes y Sábados, con frecuencias Buenos Aires—Rosario de Lunes a Domingo, con dos opciones diarias por la mañana y por la noche.

Aeropuerto Internacional de Santiago inaugurará nueva terminal
El Aeropuerto Internacional Santiago de Chile/SCL ha anunciado la próxima inauguración de la nueva Terminal 2 (T2) para Febrero 2022. La nueva Terminal duplicará la capacidad del aeropuerto de 15 a 30 millones de pasajeros por año. El Aeropuerto Internacional Arturo Merino Benítez de Chile en Santiago abrirá sus nuevas instalaciones internacionales de la T2 ha ha tenido una inversión de US$ 990 millones del Ministerio de Obras Públicas de Chile (MOP). El aeropuerto convirtió el área original en una terminal doméstica renovada con un nuevo muelle de 17.300 metros cuadrados para capacidad adicional, y creó un nuevo edificio de 214.000 metros cuadrados dedicado a vuelos internacionales y regionales. Todas las áreas de las terminales están equipadas con tecnología de punta para minimizar los tiempos de espera para el procesamiento de pasajeros y equipaje.
El nuevo T2 cuenta con un importante procesador central que sirve como punto focal para las personas que se acercan al aeropuerto, y alberga cuatro nuevos muelles, conectados al procesador central para las llegadas a través de corredores intersticiales. Un gran programa de concesiones minoristas, de alimentos y bebidas, salas VIP y un innovador programa de publicidad elevan la experiencia del pasajero a una de las mejores de la región. El proyecto también aumentó el número de puertas de 18 a 67, al tiempo que agregó dos edificios de estacionamiento de 4 niveles y dos estacionamientos de superficie. Diseñado por la firma estadounidense de ingeniería y arquitectura Stantec, y creado en asociación con los arquitectos locales Amunategui Barreau Arquitectos, el nuevo complejo de terminales se puede ampliar aún más para atender a 38 millones de pasajeros anualmente a medida que aumenta la demanda.

Santiago International Airport will inaugurate a new terminal
Santiago de Chile International Airport/SCL has announced the upcoming inauguration of the new Terminal 2 (T2) for February 2022. The new Terminal will double the capacity of the airport from 15 to 30 million passengers per year. Chile’s Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago will open its new T2 international facilities and has received an investment of US$ 990 million from the Chilean Ministry of Public Works (MOP). The airport converted the original area into a renovated domestic terminal with a new 17,300-square-meter pier for additional capacity, and created a new 214,000-square-meter building dedicated to international and regional flights. Aeropuerto Ushuaia recibe actualización Sistema Aterrizaje
En el Aeropuerto Internacional Ushuaia/Malvinas Argentinas/USH, localizado en la Provincia de Tierra del Fuego, la Empresa Argentina de Navegación Aérea, EANA S.E., perteneciente al Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación, instaló un nuevo Sistema de Aterrizaje por Instrumentos para las aproximaciones a su cabecera de pista 25. El titular de la cartera de Transporte, Alexis Guerrera, expresó: “Con nuestro Plan de Modernización del Transporte estamos invirtiendo en tecnología de manera federal para hacer que volar sea más eficiente, porque con estos sistemas de aterrizaje vamos a evitar cancelaciones por condiciones desfavorables en Ushuaia y a mejorar la conectividad de Tierra del Fuego, como ya hicimos en otras 6 provincias y vamos a continuar en Río Negro y Chubut”.
La modernización del ILS representa un avance tecnológico que aportará confiabilidad y mayor disponibilidad para las aproximaciones de las aeronaves al aeropuerto fueguino, aún en condiciones meteorológicas desfavorables. El flamante ILS reemplazó al anterior que contaba con una antigüedad de 24 años y, además, con una menor capacidad de prestación que el nuevo, el cual puede hacerlo en la Categoría II. Esto representará un beneficio directo para la operatividad del aeropuerto, que podrá continuar recibiendo vuelos aun con muy baja visibilidad en la superficie.
La instalación del nuevo ILS incluyó el cambio de todas las antenas, la construcción de nuevas bases de hormigón y la sustitución de las casetas protectoras para los equipos. Además, se colocó un sistema de comunicaciones robusto y duplicado (por fibra óptica y antenas de radioenlace) entre los equipos y la torre de control, que permite tanto al personal de control de tránsito aéreo como al de servicio técnico, tener un seguimiento continuo del funcionamiento del sistema. Gabriela Logatto, Presidenta y Gerenta General de EANA S.E., aseguró “Desde EANA continuamos robusteciendo nuestra infraestructura tecnológica de navegación aérea con la incorporación de un nuevo ILS para el Aeropuerto de Ushuaia”.
Una vez finalizada la instalación y comprobado el funcionamiento inicial de los transmisores y las antenas del nuevo ILS, aviones dotados de equipos especiales de medición realizaron una serie de aproximaciones a la pista para establecer fehacientemente la estabilidad, precisión y calidad de las señales radioeléctricas. Con los datos aportados por estas mediciones, se llevaron a cabo los ajustes que permitieron asegurar la confiabilidad de las señales y dejar los equipos finalmente en servicio. Esta innovación tecnológica, enmarcada en el Plan de Modernización del Transporte Aéreo que lleva adelante el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación, ya completó la renovación integral también de los sistemas ILS en los aeropuertos de Córdoba, Buenos Aires, Posadas, Resistencia, Corrientes y Santa Rosa. En los próximos meses se seguirá con el reemplazo de estas radioayudas en los aeropuertos de Bariloche y Esquel, lo que representa un avance tecnológico, con el cual se busca previsibilidad en la operación, asegurando índices de disponibilidad y confiabilidad mayores a los actuales, además de garantizar la continuidad del servicio. El Sistema ILS consiste en un conjunto de transmisores terrestres que emiten señales que guían a las aeronaves en su descenso hacia la pista de aterrizaje, siendo de gran utilidad por su precisión y seguridad, sobre todo en escenarios de visibilidad reducida. El nuevo ILS de Ushuaia también incorpora un transmisor de señales DME, lo cual aporta mayor seguridad, ya que gracias a él las tripulaciones en vuelo pueden conocer con exactitud su distancia al aeropuerto.

Ushuaia Airport receives Landing System update
At the Ushuaia/Malvinas Argentinas International Airport/USH, located in the Province of Tierra del Fuego, the Argentine Air Navigation Company, EANA SE, belonging to the National Ministry of Transport, installed a new Instrument Landing System for approaches to its head of runway 25. The installation of the new ILS included the replacement of all the antennas, the construction of new concrete bases and the replacement of the protective shelters for the equipment. In addition, a robust and duplicate communications system (by fiber optics and radio link antennas) was placed between the equipment and the control tower, which allows both air traffic control personnel and technical service personnel to have continuous monitoring of the system operation. Gabriela Logatto, President and General Manager of EANA S.E., assured «At EANA we continue to strengthen our air navigation technological infrastructure with the incorporation of a new ILS for Ushuaia Airport».
Once the installation was completed and the initial operation of the new ILS transmitters and antennas had been verified, planes equipped with special measuring equipment carried out a series of approaches to the runway to reliably establish the stability, precision and quality of the radio signals. Puesta en servicio de nuevo VOR Aeropuerto Mar del Plata
La Empresa Argentina de Navegación Aérea S.E. (EANA) perteneciente al Ministerio de Transporte de la República Argentina, instaló y puso en servicio un nuevo Radiofaro Omnidireccional VHF en el Aeropuerto Internacional Mar del Plata/Astor Piazzolla/MDQ, localizado en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, República Argentina. La incorporación del flamante VOR (Very High Frequency Omni-Directional Range), que está enmarcada en el Plan de Modernización del Transporte llevado adelante por el Ministerio de Transporte de la Nación, a cargo de Alexis Guerrera, reemplaza al anterior que contaba con más de cuarenta años de servicio, lo cual significa dar un salto tecnológico que permite brindar mayor disponibilidad y fortalecer la seguridad operacional.
El Sistema VOR está conformado por un conjunto de transmisores de señales de navegación que brindan a las aeronaves una referencia respecto de la ubicación del sistema y del norte magnético. Esta información permite a los pilotos ubicarse espacialmente respecto de una ruta o de un aeródromo. Además, este nuevo VOR incorpora transmisores de señales DME, las que les permiten a las tripulaciones en vuelo conocer con exactitud su distancia al aeropuerto. La renovación del equipo significa un salto en tecnología, confiabilidad, seguridad operacional y conectividad para el aeropuerto y la región, siendo de gran utilidad para la navegación aérea.
La instalación del nuevo VOR, ubicado dentro del mismo predio del aeropuerto y a 650 metros de la cabecera de la Pista 13, implicó también el reacondicionamiento de las bases actuales, la instalación de nuevas antenas, el reemplazo de la caseta protectora, y una nueva instalación eléctrica, para la cual se realizó un túnel bajo pista a fin de canalizar parte del cableado. Para reforzar la conectividad, se incorporó un sistema de comunicaciones robusto, utilizando fibra óptica y radioenlaces con la torre de control, a través de los cuales el personal de control de tránsito aéreo y el personal técnico de EANA S.E. pueden realizar diferentes configuraciones y comprobaciones a distancia. Una vez finalizada la instalación y comprobado el funcionamiento inicial del nuevo VOR, se procedió a su verificación en vuelo. Ésta consistió en una serie de aproximaciones realizadas por aviones dotados del instrumental específico para establecer fehacientemente la estabilidad, precisión y calidad de las señales radioeléctricas.

Aeropuerto Palmerola atiende +40.000 px en primer mes operaciones
El Aeropuerto Internacional de Palmerola/XPL cumplió de forma exitosa su primer mes de operaciones, con cinco aerolíneas internacionales y superando las expectativas de flujo de pasajeros, informó este miércoles el Presidente Ejecutivo de la División Aeropuertos de Grupo Emco, Peter Fleming. La nueva terminal aérea, ubicada en el Valle de Comayagua, está operando alrededor de 18 vuelos diarios, entre llegadas y salidas, lo cual es posible gracias a las facilidades operacionales que brinda el moderno aeropuerto.
Peter Fleming manifestó que se están obteniendo grandes resultados tanto en el aspecto operativo como en cifras de viajeros, desde que llegó el primer vuelo a Palmerola, el 11 de Diciembre de 2021, de la aerolínea estadounidense Spirit Airlines. «En su primer mes de operación, Palmerola ya logró triplicar la cantidad de pasajeros que tenía Toncontín entre diciembre y enero. Esto es posible ya que la nueva terminal aérea es más grande, moderna, tiene más aerolíneas y hay acceso a pasajes aéreos más baratos gracias a las facilidades operacionales y garantías de seguridad que brinda Palmerola», expresó el Presidente de Emco.
Las aerolíneas que están operando actualmente en la nueva aeroestación hondureña son Spirit Airlines, Copa Airlines, Avianca Airlines, American Airlines y United Airlines. Entre las ventajas que ha traído el Aeropuerto Internacional de Palmerola está la reducción del precio de los boletos aéreos, debido a que brinda condiciones seguras y modernas que han permitido la llegada de aerolíneas de bajo costo por primera vez en la zona. Dos de las aerolíneas que vuelan desde Palmerola han puesto a disposición promociones especiales para los viajeros: Spirit Airlines ofrece vuelos a Miami y Houston por US$ 149 Dólares ida y vuelta y American Airlines boletos a US$ 268 Dólares hasta Miami. Anteriormente, un boleto de ida y vuelta entre Toncontín y Miami costaba US$ 1.557 Dólares.

Asimismo, a través de su cuenta oficial de Twitter (@IATA), la asociación aérea mundial resaltó que «el nuevo aeropuerto mejorará conectividad del país y aumentará la oferta para pasajeros y añadirá más capacidad para la carga».
El nuevo aeropuerto además ha iniciado con el innovador servicio de brindar transporte gratuito a los pasajeros que viajan de Tegucigalpa a Palmerola y viceversa. Limitan ingreso área Check-in por ola de contagios
El Aeropuerto Jorge Newbery/AEP ha comunicado las nuevas restricciones de ingreso al área de Check-in debido al incremento de infecciones reportados en los últimos días. El Organismo Regulador del Sistema Nacional de Aeropuertos (ORSNA) anunció una modificación en la rutina de la terminal para evitar la propagación del virus en esta área crítica de la zona del aeropuerto. Las nuevas medidas afectarán la circulación de las personas establecidas en los horarios entre las franjas horarias comprendidas entre las 04:00 hs y las 07:00 hs y las 16:00 hs y 19:00 hs solo podrán ingresar pasajeros al sector de check-in desde heste Miércoles 05/01 hasta el próximo Sábado 08/01.
Los gremios aeronáuticos solicitaron que los aeropuertos descompriman el flujo de personas debido al aumento de casos de Coronavirus que pone en riesgo la salud del personal, el ORSNA ordenó restricciones en el acceso a Aeroparque. Las medidas rigen desde este Miércoles 05/01. De acuerdo con el organismo oficial, será una tarea que tendrá que llevar a cabo la concesionaria Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 (AA2000) junto con la Policía de Seguridad Aeroportuaria (PSA). En la práctica, entre las 04:00 hs y las 07:00 hs y las 16:00 hs y las 19:00 hs solo podrán ingresar pasajeros al sector del check-in hasta el próximo Sábado 08/01. Fuera de esos horarios y de ese sector se permiten acompañantes. Para cumplir con la restricción, en esos horarios y durante estos días, se cerrarán las puertas automáticas en el sector pre check-in. Quedarán habilitadas dos puertas controladas por la PSA y se colocará un control a la altura de la tienda Starbucks. Las escaleras mecánicas paralelas y cruzadas quedarán solamente ascendentes. La restricción es solo en el sector del check-in. El resto de la terminal estará habilitado al público general.
El protocolo implementado por AA2000 en Aeroparque a Enero de 2022 incluye señalética y distanciamiento en filas, área de check-in, puntos de control, sectores de arribos y puertas de embarque, puestos de sanitización en toda la terminal, anuncios de distanciamiento y uso de tapabocas; desinfección permanente en todos los sectores de la terminal y patios de comida, acrílicos en sectores de atención al público, sanitización de la fachada de la terminal y calles con camión hidrante, ventilación permanente; y restricciones de ingreso sólo para pasajeros en área de check-in en horario pico.
El Martes 04/01 la Unión de Personal Superior y Profesional de Empresas Aerocomerciales (UPSA) le ha solicitado al ORSNA, a la PSA y a Aerolíneas Argentinas que se permita solo el ingreso de pasajeros a los halls de los aeropuertos por la gran cantidad de contagios por Covid-19. “Desde la semana pasada venimos advirtiendo a las máximas autoridades sobre el descontrol en el flujo de personas que concurren a los aeropuertos. Reiteramos la necesidad de arbitrar medidas de forma urgente para limitar el acceso exclusivo a los pasajeros con los controles sanitarios correspondientes”, afirmaron desde el gremio aeronáutico UPSA. Según Marcelo Uhrich, Secretario de Prensa y Difusión de UPSA, se vienen dando situaciones muy particulares de superpoblación en aeropuertos, sobre todo en Aeroparque, y también ha habido casos de pasajeros con Covid que rompen el aislamiento para ir a cambiar sus pasajes de forma presencial. “Puede haber 3.000 o 4.000 personas en halls con techos bajos y poca ventilación, con poca distancia social y la concurrencia familiar también preocupa mucho. Toman como un paseo ir al aeropuerto y se están exponiendo e infectando a la gente que está de servicio. El personal que tenemos es mínimo y hacemos lo que podemos para sacar adelante las operaciones, pero ya se están cancelando vuelos”, aseguró el Secretario de Prensa.
Hasta el momento, solo Aerolíneas Argentinas informó de un vuelo cancelado a Bariloche el Domingo 02/01, que se reprogramó para el Lunes 03/01. “Lo que se está observando es un incremento en los contagios y en los aislamientos. Sobre todo, en áreas operativas donde se trabaja con burbujas y un contagio afecta a toda la burbuja”, explicaron fuentes de la aerolínea de bandera. Desde Flybondi Líneas Aéreas, en tanto, dijeron que tienen pocos casos positivos, pero sí un aumento de personas con contacto estrecho dentro de las tripulaciones lo que hace más compleja la organización de las programaciones de los vuelos, aunque no ha impactado en el servicio.
