The Attorney General of the Union supports the agreement between Boeing and Embraer

The Office of the Attorney General of the Union (AGU) reported on Friday 29/11 in a statement to the Federal Supreme Court (STF) of Brazil that the acquisition of Boeing of the commercial division of Embraer does not violate national sovereignty and that the right to I veto that the Brazilian government has about business is an option, not an obligation. The manifestation of the AGU came after the PDT, the party of Ciro Gomes, the defeated candidate for the Presidency of the Republic, affirmed that the agreement harmed the Brazilian sovereignty and requested the annulment of the minutes of the assembly to the Supreme.

The Office of the Attorney General of AGU approved the agreement in which Boeing sealed the purchase of the commercial division of Embraer, announced earlier this week. The AGU reported that the transaction does not harm national sovereignty and that the government has the option, but not the obligation to veto the agreement. «In the case of the case file, there is much evidence that the decision was taken in an absolutely informed manner, after consulting with the competent public bodies to give their opinion on the matter, indicating a responsible assessment of the advisability of not exercise the veto», the statement said. The AGU consulted the Air Force Command, the Secretariat of the National Treasury, the Secretariat of the Office of the Attorney General of the National Treasury and the Special Secretariat of Finance and expressly authorized them.

AW-Icon AW001

Airbus held the 100th A220 aircraft produced for a client during a ceremony at the headquarters of the aircraft program in Mirabel, Canada. The aircraft, an A220-300, for the Latvian-based AirBaltic airline, features a new and comfortable cabin design with 149 seats plus a retouched livery.

The A220 family is assembled on the main final assembly line of Airbus in Mirabel and, more recently, also on the second assembly line of the program in Mobile, Alabama. The world’s first A220 (CSeries CS-100) was delivered in June 2016 to the launch operator Swiss Air Lines.

AirBaltic

AirBaltic became the A220-300 launch operator when the Latvian airline received the delivery of the first A220-300 three years ago, on November 28, 2016. Since then, airBaltic has reordered the A220-300 plane twice, carrying its order in Sign up to 50 planes to become the largest European customer A220 today. The airline now operates a fleet of 20 A220-300 aircraft.

The Latvian airline AirBaltic has presented an updated livery on its 21st Airbus A220-300, which is also, in general, the 100th Airbus A220 (formerly Bombardier C-Series) delivered to a customer.

The adjusted livery is the second update that the airline presented in three years when it received its first Airbus A220-300. At that time, he added billboard titles and changed the gray engine hoods to the current mint green. In the current update, the mint green tail now extends over the fuselage of the aircraft. A scheme also used by many other airlines. The first aircraft of the new livery, registered as YL-AAU, has a small label that promotes the 100th delivery of the A220 on the right side of the fuselage.

AirBaltic has another 29 A220-300 in the order that will be delivered in the coming years and will replace the remaining Boeing 737-300, 737-500 and De Havilland Dash 8-400 (formerly Bombardier Dash 8 Q400) in its fleet, but also will use for fleet expansion.

AW-Airbus_A220_7068 (2).jpgA220 Market

AW-700A220.jpgIn an extremely competitive market, unmatched fuel efficiency and excellent aircraft performance have been critical to AirBaltic, which has a fully A220 fleet as the backbone of its new business plan. airBaltic is operating its A220 fleet to several European and Russian destinations, as well as to the Middle East. It currently operates the longest flight on an A220, a 6.5-hour flight from Riga to Abu Dhabi.

Initially designed and delivered as the Bombardier CSeries, the A220 is the only aircraft designed specifically for the 100-150 seat market, offering unbeatable fuel efficiency and comfort for wide-cabin passengers in a single-aisle aircraft. The A220 brings together state-of-the-art aerodynamics, advanced materials and the latest generation PW1500G turbofan engines from Pratt & Whitney to offer at least 20% less fuel consumption per seat compared to the previous generation aircraft, together with significantly lower emissions and a reduced noise footprint. The A220 offers the performance of larger single-aisle aircraft.

About 100 A220 are in operation with six operators on four continents. By the end of October 2019, the plane had received 530 firm orders from more than 20 customers worldwide. AW-Icon AW002

AW-Icon AW001

AW-TradeAir_70088.jpgApproaching end Fokker 100 in Europe

fokker-logo.gifThe Fokker line is about to disappear from the European market

Trade Air, one of the last Fokker 100 operators in Europe, has announced that it will exchange its Fokker 100s for A320s, various media report. Earlier this year the Swiss company Helvetic Airways said goodbye to its Fokker 100 fleet. Helvetic was the last company to use the aircraft on its own scheduled flights within Europe.

Charter

In Europe, the Fokker 100 only flies on the charter market, as a Fokker 100 from the Romanian Carpatair last year served at KLM. Air France used the Fokker 100 of Trade Air in 2018 for flights to Schiphol. Carpatair, Avanti Air, TUS Airways and ALK Airlines still fly with a few Fokker 100s that they rent out. As the costs for keeping the breeders flying keep increasing, the last breeders will also disappear quickly.

Australia

Most of the flying Fokker 100s are located in Australia, and roughly 50 aircraft are still employed by QantasLink, Alliance Airlines, and Virgin Australia. However, Qantas has announced that it is looking for a replacement for the Fokker fleet. The Boeing 717 will also disappear from Australian society in the coming years.

Iran

Breeders are also popular in Iran. This is largely due to the trade embargo the country is suffering from. As a result, it is not possible for companies from Iran to buy new aircraft. Iranian aviation is therefore known for a large amount of traditional aircraft. A few years ago the trade embargo with Iran was temporarily lifted. More than 200 aircraft were ordered by the country during this time. Ultimately, only a handful of aircraft was delivered before this was again prohibited. AW-Icon AW002

AW-Icon AW001

renton_hero_new.JPGBoeing between 737 MAX & NMA

Boeing-Logo.svg.pngThe complexity of the future of Boeing is increasingly challenging

The challenges for the American builder The Boeing Company are increasingly complex. The Boeing 737 MAX aircraft could be ready as soon as December 2019 or projected through the coming months, depending on the situations of the inspections of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) of the United States.

Major US airlines have continued to delay the return of the problematic plane to their flight schedules, but even their latest estimates are likely to be too hopeful, said Alan Diehl, who has worked in both the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Board of Transportation Security (NTSB). “Probably a bit optimistic. It will depend on the reaction of interested parties, unions, airlines, and other regulatory authorities”, said Diehl about the purpose of certification and approvals to fly again.

The first obstacle that the 737 MAX must overcome before it can return to service is the FAA certification, which issued a statement on Tuesday 26/11 that expressed that it had not yet completed its safety review. It is the third time in two weeks that the FAA says publicly that it will take all the time necessary to consider the 737 MAX to be safe.

Boeing has been seeking certification for months at the end of 2019. The Chicago-based company has not yet deviated from its guidance that the 737 MAX may return to commercial service by the end of January 2020.

The 737 MAX has been connected to the whole world since March 2019 after two Boeing 737-8 MAX aircraft crashed, one in October 2018 and the other in March 2019, killing 346 people together. The malfunction of the Flight Control System (MCAS) of the Boeing 737 MAX has been implicated in disasters.

Boing 767X

AW-Boeing767MAX.jpgGiven the dilemma of efforts to return the 737 MAX, Boeing is developing the NMA Project and activating some construction lines to update the 767 model with the Boeing 767-X Project, which allows us to see how the aerospace manufacturer is shortening the way lose market Boeing can offer the market a renewed version of 767, similar to the concept adopted by Airbus with the A330NEO, which basically introduced new engines to the famous A330.

Boeing NMA

american-airlines-boeing-797-fsx1.jpgThe US manufacturer has been working on the Boeing 797 New Midmarket Aircraft (NMA) Program for several years, which provides a mid-range aircraft between the current Boeing 737-10 MAX and the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner. The initial objective was to develop a new family of aircraft, replacing veterans 757 and 767, with a focus on the first. However, an internal change led Boeing to prioritize the replacement of the 767, something the manufacturer itself had done when he launched the 787 Dreamliner.

Boeing FSA

AW-700737M001.jpgTowards the future, Between corridors, the voices recognize that Boeing could launch a 737 MAX replacement in the coming years, although this option would not be very viable for the American builder. Boeing has done the opposite, has suspended the development of an intermediate aircraft in the 767 range to focus its efforts to activate the 737 MAX unit

Now, the Boeing market and sources say the priority design will now be the Future Small Airplane (FSA) that could replace the entire 737 MAX family. Although it is a confidential project and without an official announcement, Boeing would even be working with the main 737 operators to define the new aircraft, which should be completed in the late 2020s.

The builder of Seattle faces a very convoluted future because of the multiple challenges that lie ahead not only in the field of major security changes but also must be able to make the best decisions for his future, decisions that airlines They want to meet very soon so that Boeing doesn’t lose market and credibility.

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries has skills to build alar set for Airbus Group

Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd. has announced that it has technical and production knowledge to build high-tech wings for Airbus SE aircraft, the Executive Director of the Japanese conglomerate said on Wednesday 20/11. MHI developed sophisticated production processes at its Nagoya facilities in the process of building wings for the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. «We have accumulated experience in the production of aerostructures as a level 1 supplier, so if the opportunity arises, we will certainly be willing to consider it», said Executive Chairman Seiji Izumisawa.

For its part, Airbus still has not reported planning to outsource companies to build wings on future aircraft, such as its next-generation single-aisle aircraft A321NEOXLR, which could leave in about a decade.

Such future work would be important for MHI, in part due to Boeing’s decision to take wing production internally to its last aircraft, the 777X. «We have the ability to produce some quite complicated components», said Izumisawa, who said he was involved in the development of 787 wings. Boeing impulsada a cerrar línea 747

AW | 2019 11 23 23:33 | INDUSTRY

Triumph cierra Planta Hawthorne

AW-Icon AW001

The supplier of The Boeing Company, Triumph Group (TGI), one of the main suppliers of the Boeing 747 line is closing a key plant in Hawthorne, State of California, which could force the aerospace giant to close the world production line known Jumbo.

Triumph closes Hawthorne Plant

Triumph Group opened an online auction to sell manufacturing equipment from its plant in Hawthorne, California, on Wednesday 20/11. The plant has built the Boeing 747 aircraft since the first order of Pan American World Airways in 1966. Triumph will also close its plant in the Dallas, State of Texas area, which manufactured Boeing 747 tail sections and other parts, by next year 2020.

Boeing should now make a final decision on the alternatives for line 747, where the costs for moving the assembly line could not justify such an investment when the market is retracting from the Jumbo era. AW-Icon AW002

Somon Air ordena Embraer E190-E2

AW-Icon AW001

Somon Air of Tajikistan orders two Embraer E190-E2 aircraft

embraer logo (1).jpgSomon Air has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the lease of two Embraer E190-E2 aircraft of VTB Leasing of Russian Federation. On Thursday 21/11, the lease agreement was signed between the largest private airline in the Republic of Tajikistan, Somon Air and VTB Leasing, a subsidiary of the VTB Group. The new lease agreement marks an important step forward for Somon Air, which currently operates a fleet of only six aircraft.

Somon Air fleet

The two leased Embraer E190-E2 will be the first addition of any non-Boeing aircraft to the Somon Air fleet since the airline began operating in 2008. Somon Air could replace the Boeing 737-300 with the new Embraer E190- aircraft E2 It also has in its fleet Boeing 737-800/900.

A sudden turn would have changed the entire Boeing fleet, raising questions about why the airline has chosen the decision to acquire regional aircraft. In July 2019, Somon Air canceled its lease agreement for a Boeing 737-8 MAX. Since the guy has not yet been certified to fly again, this cancellation was probably a wise decision by the Tajikistan airline.

E-jets

The company’s new range of aircraft, the E-Jet E2 family, entered commercial service for the first time earlier this year. Until now, the E-Jet-E2 family has proven to be a popular alternative to competing products presented by the two major manufacturers.

Boeing has been looking to acquire the Embraer industry to expand its market capture capabilities. A closer step of that union has been taken with the approval by China for the Boing-Embraer union. AW-Icon AW002

AW-Icon AW001

Boeing marked a key milestone when thousands of employees gathered for the debut of the first Boeing 737-10 MAX at the company’s factory in Renton, Washington. During a ceremony, Boeing leaders highlighted the team’s achievements and recognized their efforts to complete the production of the newest and longest member of the 737 MAX family. The 737-10 MAX currently has an order portfolio of more than 550 orders and commitments from more than 20 customers worldwide.

“Today it is not just a new plane. It is about the people who design, build and support it. The relentless focus of this team on safety and quality shows the commitment we have with our airline customers and with all the people flying in a Boeing plane”, said Mark Jenks, Vice President and General Manager of the 737 Program.

The 737-10 MAX, the largest variant of the MAX family, can accommodate up to 230 passengers and offers the lowest mileage per-seat cost of any single-aisle aircraft ever produced. The plane will now undergo system checks and the engine will run before the first flight scheduled for 2020. «I am honored to take this plane on its first flight and show the world what you put your heart and soul into», 737 chief pilot Jennifer Henderson told the crowd of employees.

Modest presentation

Boeing’s newest plane, the 737-10 MAX, left its Renton, Washington, plant on a gray, foggy morning on Friday to applaud thousands of employees. The deployments are usually excellent marketing events with media, airline customers and even elected officials available. But this presentation was a matter of the Boeing family. Without means, without fanfare.

Future line 737

The MAX 10 deployment could be the last for the 737 families, which began in 1965. «They have taken 737 as far as they can», says aerospace analyst George Hamlin.

Ten years ago, Boeing considered replacing the 737 with a completely new aircraft after launching 787. However, the rival Airbus in 2010 introduced its A320NEO, a more powerful and more efficient version of its popular single-aisle aircraft. The A320NEO quickly picked up more orders than any other new aircraft. Instead of waiting for a completely new plane, Boeing chose to put more powerful engines, new wings, and other improvements, creating the fourth generation of the 737.

The MAX Series did not originally include version 10. The MAX 9 was the largest version planned in the series, but could not compete for orders with the largest Airbus A321NEO. Boeing responded by stretching the MAX 9 by six feet. The new plane was so long that Boeing had to come up with a new telescopic landing gear to prevent the MAX 10’s tail from hitting the runway during takeoff.

The fourth generation of the 737-10 MAX

So far, the MAX 10 has pleased Boeing’s loyal customers, such as United Airlines, more than new ones have gained. Boeing has 550 orders and firm commitments for the MAX 10 of 20 customers. A company spokesman, Doug Alder, declined to divide the orders.

«Right now, the A321NEO is cleaning the Boeing clock in that market», says Hamlin, who runs Hamlin Transportation Consulting in Fairfax, State of Virginia. The mid-range European aircraft has a portfolio of orders for 3,142 firm orders until October 2019.

The 737-10 MAX will then go through system checks and engine tests. The first flight is expected sometime in 2020, but an approximate date has not been established. AW-Icon AW002
