Manaus pasará a tener vuelos a París y Amsterdam con conexión en Fortaleza
Vuelos efectuados entre Air France-KLM y GOL Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes pretende tener reducción al menos ocho horas de viaje. Manaus pasará a tener vuelos a París y Amsterdam con conexión en Fortaleza. Lo que garantiza una reducción significativa de al menos ocho horas en el recorrido hacia Europa. El nuevo HUB Nordeste comienza a operar a partir del 3 de Mayo 2018 en el Aeropuerto Pinto Martins y los tickets aéreos ya están disponibles para las ventas. La operación se realiza a partir de la asociación entre Air France-KLM y GOL Líneas Aéreas Inteligentes.
«Antes de ir a París, desde Manaos era necesario un tiempo de 21 horas y treinta minutos. Ahora vamos a tener 13 horas y 25 minutos. El mismo ahorro de tiempo es para Ámsterdam. Antes llevaba 16 horas y 55 minutos y con hub en Fortaleza se quedó 13 horas y 55 minutos», destaca el director general de Air France-KLM para América del Sur, Jean-Marc Pouchol.
En total son 40 frecuencias con la inauguración de su tercer hub en el país, en Fortaleza. Esto representa un aumento del 16% de la capacidad del grupo Air France-KLM en Brasil, respecto al mismo período de verano europeo de 2017. A partir de octubre, el hub de fortaleza gana otra frecuencia de Air France, totalizando 44 vuelos semanales en Brasil (considerando también las frecuencias adicionales de Río de Janeiro), eso representa un aumento del 26% de capacidad del grupo en Brasil en relación al mismo período de verano europeo del año pasado. «Comenzamos la venta en diciembre del año pasado y percibimos desde el principio que la demanda de los brasileños por vuelos internacionales era grande, con eso decidimos aumentar las frecuencias de los vuelos», revela Pouchol.
Jean explica que el proyecto no es sólo conectar Fortaleza a Europa: Amsterdam y París, pero también aumentar la presencia en el norte y el noreste. «Hoy evaluamos la presencia de Air France en Brasil y tenemos posiciones muy fuertes como en el Sur y Sudeste. Para el turista brasileño ir a Amsterdam, por ejemplo, tiene que bajar hasta Río de Janeiro y luego subir de nuevo a Europa, porque no tenemos una presencia fuerte en Manaus y nuestra misión es crecer en esta región con este nuevo centro que estamos en conjunto con Gol», explica Jean.
El director comercial de Gol, Rogério Guerra, cuenta que Manaus es importante en este escenario, pues es uno de los principales destinos del turismo en Brasil. «La capital está entre la 9° y 10° posición como principal destino turístico de Brasil. Uno de los principales objetivos es llevar al turista brasileño hacia Europa y mejorar su destino de viaje. Y también traer el turista europeo para Brasil«, cuenta Guerra.
Los vuelos de Air France serán operados por una aeronave de Joon, nueva compañía aérea de la empresa francesa, los miércoles, viernes y domingos. En la ruta a París, la aeronave utilizada será el A340, con capacidad para 278 plazas, incluyendo 30 en la Business Class, 21 en Premium Economy y 227 en Economy.

As of October, the strength hub gains another frequency from Air France, totalizing 44 weekly flights in Brazil (also considering the additional frequencies of Rio de Janeiro), that represents a 26% increase in capacity of the group in Brazil in relation to the same European summer period last year. «We started the sale in December of last year and we perceived from the beginning that the demand of Brazilians for international flights was great, with that we decided to increase the frequencies of the flights», reveals Pouchol.
Jean explains that the project is not only to connect Fortaleza to Europe: Amsterdam and Paris, but also to increase the presence in the north and the northeast. «Today we evaluate the presence of Air France in Brazil and we have very strong positions in the South and Southeast, for the Brazilian tourist going to Amsterdam, for example, has to go down to Rio de Janeiro and then go back to Europe, because we have a strong presence in Manaus and our mission is to grow in this region with this new center that we are in conjunction with Gol», explains Jean.
The commercial director of Gol, Rogério Guerra, says that Manaus is important in this scenario, since it is one of the main destinations for tourism in Brazil. «The capital is between 9th and 10th position as the main tourist destination in Brazil, one of the main objectives is to take the Brazilian tourist to Europe and improve their travel destination, and also bring the European tourist to Brazil», says Guerra.
The flights of Air France will be operated by an aircraft of Joon, new airline of the French company, on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Las aerolíneas regionales han comenzado a reportar informes para el DOT, entre elllas unas seis aerolíneas más pequeñas han comenzado a informar retrasos en los vuelos y alteraciones al Departamento de Transporte, debutando con resultados mixtos en Enero 2018.
