IATA proyecta beneficios aerolíneas por US$ 30.500 millones

El informe de la Asociación Internacional de Transporte Aéreo (IATA) ha publicado las proyecciones de los beneficios netos de las compañías aéreas alcanzarán estimaciones en US$ 30.500 millones de Dólares en 2024. Esta perspectiva superaría las estimaciones realizadas por el organismo internacional de aviación en Diciembre 2023 respecto a la previsión de beneficios de US$ 25.700 millones de Dólares para 2024.

Las proyecciones de rendimiento del capital invertido en 2024 estiman que rondarían el 5,7%, 3,4 puntos porcentuales por debajo del coste promedio del capital. Se prevé que los beneficios operativos alcancen los US$ 59.900 millones de Dólares en 2024, frente a los US$ 52.200 millones de Dólares estimados en 2023. Aerolíneas perderán cerca AR$ 62.000 millones por paro general

La Cámara de Líneas Aéreas en Argentina (JURCA) estima que el paro nacional convocado por la central gremial de la CGT generará pérdidas significativas para las líneas aéreas, alcanzando alrededor de AR$ 62.000 millones de Pesos. Este paro de 24 horas afectará la operación de casi cuatrocientos vuelos, tanto domésticos como internacionales, afectando al tráficoo de 70.000 pasajeros.

En un comunicado, JURCA expresó su desacuerdo con la medida de fuerza, destacando el papel crucial de la industria aerocomercial en el desarrollo del país. Según el comunicado: «la industria aerocomercial es uno de los motores fundamentales para el desarrollo del país, por medio del cual se conectan ciudades nacionales con otras en nuestro país y en el exterior. JURCA y sus asociados se comprometen a tomar todas las medidas necesarias para minimizar el impacto negativo sobre nuestros pasajeros por acciones ajenas a la voluntad de nuestros asociados».

La cámara se comprometió a tomar todas las medidas necesarias para mitigar el impacto negativo en los pasajeros afectados, ofreciendo opciones como la reprogramación de vuelos o la devolución de tarifas. El paro general en Argentina se hizo sentir fuerte en el sector aéreo que adhirieron a la medida todos los gremios aeronáuticos, como consecuencia del paro dispuesto por la CGT a nivel nacional. Desde la aeroestación internacional de Ezeiza, compañías aéreas como Flybondi y American Airlines en Ezeiza, que cuentan con servicio de rampa propio, pudieron mantener algunos servicios, mientras que Aerolíneas Argentinas, JetSMART Airlnes Argentina, LATAM Airlines y el resto de las compañías internacionales que operan con servicios desde el exterior al país, cancelaron sus operaciones del día. El caso de los vuelos de Air France, que desplazó su partida hasta después de la medianoche, para evitar la cancelación, el resto de las empresas no registran operaciones durante la mañana y no tienen programadas para el resto del día Jueves 9 de Mayo de 2024. De acuerdo a la página de Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 (AA2000), Avianca Airlines, KLM Airlines, SKY Airline, Copa Airlines, GOL Linhas Aéreas, British Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Air Europa, Iberia Líneas Aéreas, ITA Airways, BoA Aviation, Air Cánada, Lufthansa German Airlines y Turkish Airlines, cancelaron todos sus servicios.

Por su parte JetSMART Airlines Argentina informó que, debido al paro general, se han visto “en la necesidad de cancelar todos nuestros vuelos programados para este día, domésticos e internacionales, desde y hacia Argentina”.

LATAM Airlines, mediante un comunicado informó que la operación desde y hacia Argentina para hoy “ha sido cancelada producto del paro general anunciado para esta fecha”. La medida afecta a 40 vuelos de la aerolínea chilena entre arribos y partidas y a más de 4600 pasajeros, ya que se cancelaron las operaciones hacia Buenos Aires (Aeroparque y Ezeiza), Córdoba, Mendoza y Salta.

Paro afectará transporte aéreo

El paro general de la CGT (Confederación General del Trabajo) se lleva a cabo el Jueves 9 de Mayo de 2024 en la República Argentina. Se trata de la segunda huelga que la central obrera realiza durante el Gobierno de Javier Milei. En esa jornada del día Jueves 09/05, muchos servicios no funcionarán, como es el caso del transporte aéreo, ferroviaria, bus. En los últimos días, la Asociación Pilotos de Líneas Aéreas (APLA) ratificó su participación en la convocatoria obrera. La Asociación Trabajadores del Estado (ATE) se suma a la jornada de lucha que afectará, de alguna manera, los vuelos en veinticuatro aeropuertos de todo el país. El vuelo F05121 de Flybondi Líneas Aéreas realizaba la ruta Posadas/PPS—Buenos Aires/AEP despegaba con demoras, mientras la aeronave Boeing 737-8U3 matrícula LV-KHO se aproximaba al Aeroparque Jorge Newbery cuando realizó dos aterrizajes frustrados descendiendo hasta los 425 pies, unos escasos 130 metros de altitud para posteriormente levantar vuelo. En la primera ocasión, a las 16:45, volvió a subir hasta los 3.350 pies/1.020 metros y sobrevoló el Río de la Plata. Entonces lo intentó otra vez a las 17.03, ingresó por el norte del Gran Buenos Aires y, cuando estaba por perfilarse rumbo a Aeroparque se repitió la maniobra de aproximación tras descender hasta la misma altitud, abortó la maniobra. Tras estos dos intentos frustrados, el avión rumbo sur para dirigirse hacia el Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza/Ministro Pistarini/EZE, donde pudo aterrizar a las 17:28, una hora y media después de lo previsto del plan de vuelo.

Desde la aerolínea low cost explicaron que se trató de una maniobra «de procedimiento de aproximación en meteorología adversa y que resulta habitual en circunstancias como las de este Jueves a la tarde, con frente de tormenta, vientos y otras condiciones meteorológicas», explicó la aerolínea low cost argentina.

Además, un Boeing 737-8SH de Aerolíneas Argentinas atravesó una situación similar. El vuelo AR1818 proveniente de El Calafate/FTE, descendió hasta los 850 pies (260 metros) a las 17:46 y recorrió el mismo circuito sobre el Río de la Plata. En este caso, el segundo intento fue exitoso.

Lufthansa German Airlines ha suspendido hacia y desde Frankfurt/FRA todos los vuelos en la mañana del 15 de Febrero de 2023, debido a una interrupción de Tecnología de la Información (TI). Los vuelos de Lufthansa se vieron afectados mientras que otras aerolíneas como Austrian Airlines, miembro del Lufthansa Group, informó solo problemas menores en relación con esta interrupción.
