Norwegian avanza con acuerdo con Sukhoi Aircraft para incorporar SSJ-100
Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA, la compañía aérea low-cost noruega, está a punto de cerrar un acuerdo con el fabricante de aeronaves ruso Sukhoi Aircraft Corporation, para
extender un acuerdo de alquiler por cuarenta unidades de aviones regionales SSJ-100. Como parte de un acuerdo entre el fabricante Sukhoi Aircraft y el Gobierno de Federación Rusia, a la aerolínea low cost noruega se le permitirá extender los derechos de vuelo sobre el espacio aéreo de Siberia, en Rusia. Por otro lado, la compañía matriz en noruega ha establecido en sus políticas de estrategias que las diez primeras aeronaves estarán destinadas al mercado en la filial de Argentina. De esta manera, Argentina ingresaría como un nuevo cliente del constructor ruso Sukhoi Aircraft.
La matriz Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA ha comunicado que de los cuarenta aviones Sukhoi SSJ-100, las diez primeros unidades estarán destinadas al mercado en Argentina, mientras que los 30 adicionales se emplearán para rutas domésticas europeas. Norwegian llevaba años intentando un permiso que le permitiera volar directamente vía Siberia a Asia. Desde la compañía Norwegian Air Argentina han expresado que solo son especulaciones y comentarios infundados acerca de las tentativas próximas incorporaciones de aeronaves regionales rusas.

La industria aronáutica rusa pasa por una grave crisis dado que su avión más moderno el Sukhoi SSJ-100 no tiene clientes ni siquiera en la misma Rusia donde son muy reticentes a comprar este modelo de avión. Hace unos días se informó de que Air Serbia está estudiando la compra de varias unidades de este modelo, aunque la operación no se ha cerrado.
