Mandarin Airlines is a regional subsidiary of the Taiwanese airline China Airlines.

«With ATR 72-600 joining the fleet, Mandarin Airlines will significantly increase the flight frequencies on each domestic route and then present some potential new sectors later. The ATR 72-600 contributes to the increase of flight frequencies, for example, from three to five daily flights instead of one to two daily flights currently, intensive flight frequency is a major goal as we introduce ATRs in our market», said Mandarin Airlines President Jenny Tsao.

Mandarin Airlines has incorporated a fleet optimization plan, which requires the lease of three ATR 72-600 and the purchase of an additional six 72-6200s directly from ATR for a total of nine to be deployed in 2020. The airline expects the delivery of the three aircraft leased by the end of 2017. It is expected that the six aircraft ordered directly from ATR will be delivered in the 2018-2019 period.

Describing its fleet plan, Mandarin said the new ATR 72-600 is well suited for [the] domestic network in Taiwan. The new turboprop aircraft will join the fleet of six Embraer E-190 and two Boeing 737-800’s. Mandarin, like the airline, will continue to expand its national, international routes and in collaboration with the parent company China Airlines. A \ W

Two Flex authorized regular flights

Two Flex, one of the main air taxi companies in the country, has received authorization from the ANAC (National Association of Civil Aviation) of Brazil to carry out regular air transport of passengers.

The new Two Flex Linhas Aéreas airline will be able to expand its regional aviation services throughout the country, which it already develops in Minas Gerais, acting as a complement to commercial flights, directly or in association with airlines, creating hubs in various regions of the country.

«This is an important recognition that Two Flex is qualified to act in the transport of passengers on routes complementary to those operated by the airlines», says Rui Aquino, President of Two Flex.

Since August 2016, Two Flex is the tendered company responsible for the operation of the Voe Minas Gerais routes, Regional Integration Program Modal Aéreo, an initiative promoted by the Economic Development Company of Minas Gerais (Codemig). The project interconnects 17 mining cities, from north to south of the state, covering a total of 1.2 thousand kilometers. The Voe Minas Gerais has become a reference in regional aviation, enabling the population of municipalities distant from the state, until then without access to commercial aviation, to travel to the capital and other locations with agility and at affordable costs of R $ 130, 00 to R $ 800.00 per tranche. In just over a year of operation, there were more than 11 thousand passes sold and 4 thousand flights made. Only last October, there were 2 thousand passengers transported. The average occupancy rate of flights has grown steadily, having evolved from 11.1% at the beginning of the project, to the current 49.7%.

Two Flex Linhas Aéreas will connect smaller cities with large cities. It foresees flights on at least one route between two or more regular aerodromes. Two Flex operates with a fleet of 18 Cessna Gran Caravan, throughout the national territory. Committed to offering a reliable and quality service, the company invests heavily in the training of its team, and this month it will begin the operation of its own Flight Simulator, which will allow to extend the training of its pilots in conditions similar to real flights.

Two Flex is currently the largest operator of Cessna Gran Caravan aircraft in Brazil, based in Jundiaí-SP, which operates 18 Cessna Gran Caravana C208B aircraft and leaning on bases dotted throughout the country (Sao Paulo, Belém, Manaus, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, Porto Alegre, Recife, Rio de Janeiro and Salvador). The company acts in the transport of loads and of individuals, full time and stands out for offering all the security, quality, speed, comfort and commitment in the attention of loads, passengers and freights.

Today it has 137 employees and a structure composed of highly qualified, trained professionals with several years of experience and dedication, allies and supported by the company’s leaders, and who, in the final result, make a serious and responsible company together to the commitments assumed before the users. American visión positiva a largo plazo

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

American takes positive long-term view

Resultado de imagen para American Airlines logoThe president of American Airlines takes the long-term vision

Trust abounds at the headquarters of American Airlines, the world’s largest airline, where CEO Robert Isom recently stated that his company would never lose money again.

US airlines are enjoying a golden age. Strong demand for travel, cheaper jet fuel and fewer competitors combine to boost profits at high altitudes.

The second man in American, Robert Isom, spent years trying to get more flights on time. Since his ascension to the presidency in August 2016, Isom’s portfolio has expanded to oversee the launch of new products, including Basic Economy, a basic seat that, according to US expectations, will seem so unattractive to passengers who will pay more. for a better one.

Robert Isom said that we are focused on such a short term and have been in the airline business, and probably rightly so. As we look at the future of American Airlines, thinking about where we should be on average, we have talked about producing yields of $ 5 billion per year. This is how we are setting up this airline. Some years we can fall short; other years we believe that we will exceed ($ 5 billion).

Robet Isom says: «Only five or six years ago, when I looked at the possible investments, I had to recover them in a year, but the way we are seeing the world today is a long-term one, it is five years and more. to make massive investment in the fleet, make massive investments in terms of product, but also what we are committing to our people in the future, we will provide constant careers that people can trust and have the vision of when they sign up on American Airlines you can sign up for American for life».

AA Management
When investing in a large term, there is always the economic risk in general. Obviously, we are always looking for fuel prices and, ultimately, demand and capacity are the most important. If the price of oil returns to $ 100 a barrel, can you increase rates and rates fast enough to cover your costs?

American believes in being more competitive, especially when it comes to defending our centers and gates. We serve the entire spectrum of customer needs, those who are the most frequent travelers and those who are really oriented to leisure. A \ W

Flyest Líneas Aéreas inicia ops regulares

AW | 2017 11 24 20:30 | AIRLINES

AIRWAYS® AW-Icon TXT

Flyest Airlines begins regular routes

The new regional airline Flyest Líneas Aéreas will initiate regular air routes in Argentina

Air Nostrum, the visible face of the investment group ILAI, reinforces its project in Argentina with Flyest Líneas Aéreas and will begin to operate regular routes connecting different points of the country.

The Air Nostrum subsidiary in Argentina, Flyest Líneas Aéreas, will begin its regular flights starting on December 2, 2017, incorporating a new CRJ-200ER aircraft that will leave the fleet of the Valencian airline Air Nostrum Iberia Regional. The first regular commercial route will be the Buenos Aires—Montevideo air bridge. From March 2018, it will incorporate two regional routes from Buenos Aires to Mar del Plata and Santa Fe.

The Iberian model

Flyest Líneas Aéreas was created in early 2017 after inheriting the license it had from Sol Líneas Aéreas. Several months the airline was focused exclusively on the charter and corporate flights, now makes the leap to the regular routes to complement the large airlines that need to power their long-haul flights.

Air Nostrum is a company in Spain that operates with the Iberia franchise for regional flights, under the name Air Nostrum Iberia Regional. This model has been applied for more than twenty years in the Iberian Peninsula, where it feeds the Iberia hub at Madrid-Barajas Airport on low-density routes or at low traffic hours with regional aircraft.

According to sources of the company, currently maintains contacts with several companies in search of possible business alliances. In any case, they specify that their business model will be to provide traffic to trunk routes.

New routes

In the next three months, the airline will take advantage of the high season in Argentina to attract leisure passengers on the Buenos Aires and Montevideo routes, while from March 2018 will focus on the corporate and business passenger connections from Buenos Aires to Santa Fe and Mar del Plata In a second stage, the objective of Flyest Líneas Aéreas in the medium term is to unite Aeroparque with future destinations to Córdoba and Rosario.

The firm will operate two 50-seat Bombardier CRJ200ER, a model that is already unprofitable for Air Nostrum in Spain, where it is replacing smaller capacity aircraft with larger ones in order to reduce the cost per seat.

Greater competitiveness

The beginning of Flyest’s operations in regular routes coincides with a moment of special effervescence in the Argentine air market. After several years closed to competition, the opening of the air market decreed by the liberal government of Mauricio Macri has led to the rapid entry of several companies trying to position themselves as regional operators. In addition to Flyest, they are also licensed to fly on internal routes Avianca or Andes Líneas Aéreas.

Iberia, which already operates the Madrid-Buenos Aires route, has also reinforced the connection with Argentina through the entry in service since October 2017 of new frequencies of Level, the low cost airline of the IAG Group, with five weekly frequencies.

The own Carlos Bertomeu, president and maximum shareholder of Air Nostrum, already talked about in the last presentation of results of the airline to the possibilities of business that are abren with the development of the regional aviation in Argentina. «If it is acceptable, having a leg in that market is very interesting,» he said.

Flyest Líneas Aéreas, which has just launched a new website and maintains a staff selection process, is authorized by the ANAC (National Civil Aviation Administration of Argentina) to operate international and domestic flights, with large aircraft, for the transport of passengers, cargo and mail.

ILAI Group

The partners of Air Nostrum, with Bertomeu in the lead, participate in the capital of Flyest through the firm Inversiones en Líneas Aéreas Internacionales (ILAI). Specifically, this company controls 49% of the capital, while the remaining 51% is held by local investor Gustavo Cebreiro, who leads a group of former directors of the Sol Líneas Aéreas stream.

The entry into the shareholding of Flyest was carried out in part through the contribution of parts and spare parts and other intangibles such as the ability to access financing and leasing companies. According to Flyest, when it began to fly, its operation would include regular flights, charter flights and flights made under the CPA (Capacity Purchase Agreement), a model widely used in North America and Europe.

This is the usual way to organize the industrial investments of the Air Nostrum partners, which prevent the shares from hanging directly from the airline to avoid risks in the main business. Ilai’s partners also include the co-founder of the IVI José Remohí, through the Dapala company, or the CEO of Air Nostrum, Miguel Ángel Falcón, through the company Sierra Colorada.

Favorable winds

In fact, in the case of Argentina, the incursion of Valencian businessmen has a negative precedent. In September 2015, the owners of Air Nostrum took a 45% stake in the company Sol Líneas Aéreas, but four months later, after Macri’s victory in the elections, they left their shareholding by breaking an agreement with Aerolíneas Argentinas that guaranteed workload for the airline. The investment of Air Nostrum was conditioned to the continuity of those agreements.

The return of Air Nostrum to Argentina was materialized by substantially changing the political situation in the country with the end of Kirchnerism. Contrary to what happened when they entered into SOL, this time the entry of Spanish investors in the process of opening the Argentine skies had the approval of the Executive, as demonstrated by the media and institutional deployment that has accompanied the arrival of the first Flyest aircraft to the country.

The authorization for the start of operations of Flyest Líneas Aéreas was granted by the Argentine authorities just two weeks after its directors met with the delegation headed by Mauricio Macri on his first state visit to Spain, a mission with marked economic character in which the accent was placed on attracting Spanish investments for Argentina.

Flyest Líneas Aéreas is the second investment of Air Nostrum’s partners in a foreign airline. ILAI also owns 50% of the Amaszonas Group, which includes the subsidiaries of Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay. A \ W
