Eastern Airlines perspectivas expansión a América del Sur
Eastern Airlines ha anunciado una nueva expansión de sus rutas en América del Sur. La lanzará ocho nuevas rutas en 2021, con la primera a partir de finales de Enero 2021. Continuando con su enfoque en las rutas a América del Sur en una demostración de las fortalezas que la compañía desea emplear para reactivar los viajes aéreos en el continente americano. A principios de 2020, la aerolínea había anunciado un total de doce anunciadas para 2020, pero sólo lanzó operaciones programadas a dos rutas, mientras se espera planificar un total de catorce rutas hacia finales de Mayo de 2021.
América del Sur
A partir del 29 de Enero de 2020, Eastern Airlines comenzará vuelos entre Los Ángeles y Guayaquil, Ecuador con una frecuencia de dos veces por semana (2Frq/S). La ruta será el primer vuelo programado para la aerolínea desde Los Ángeles. Será el único vuelo regularmente programado entre las dos ciudades. Es probable que los vuelos sean operados en el Boeing 767-300 de la aerolínea, que actualmente es el único tipo de avión que la aerolínea no ha almacenado.

O anúncio da nova rota sazonal para 2021 é um bom sinal para a Azores Airlines devido a duas questões prevalecentes: os efeitos da pandemia que provocou o abrandamento da aviação em 2020 e os problemas económicos que a companhia aérea atravessa. Andes no volará a Madryn al menos hasta Marzo 2021
Andes Líneas Aéreas ha anunciado una nueva postergación de la programación de sus vuelos, lo que incluye el trayecto Salta-Puerto Madryn. La compañía representaba los únicos vuelos, por lo que la estructuración de la compañía está demorando el reinicio de todas las operaciones perdiendo el período de temporada de verano en Argentina. En su mensaje Andes Líneas Aéreas señaló que “el reinicio de nuestras operaciones son a partir del 1 de Marzo [de 2021]”.
Mientras tanto, Aerolíneas Argentinas continúa sus frecuencias Buenos Aires-Trelew. De esta manera, será la única opción aérea para que los turistas lleguen a la región de la Península Valdéz. No va a haber más pasajeros porque se agreguen vuelos, sino que va a haber la misma cantidad de pasajeros distribuidos en más aviones; con lo cual no mejora la situación de la compañía que hoy está absolutamente deteriorada. Hay que reorganizar el cronograma, no nuestro, sino de todo el sistema. Cuando uno ve que una ruta, en más de 45 días, Aerolíneas llevó 67 mil pasajeros, eso no es ni dos días de una operación normal. Aerolíneas en un mes lleva 1 millón de pasajeros. Poner un vuelo ahí, es tratar de repartir la misma cantidad de pasajeros en más asientos. Eso significa dos cosas: mayores costos y menores ingresos. Por eso, el ingreso superponiendo rutas de algunas low cost, es incomprensible. Y ahí es donde falta coordinación de la política aerocomercial. Vamos a seguir muy de cerca cómo viene el mercado para estudiar una fecha de regreso. Hoy no faltan aviones ni asientos, faltan pasajeros”, ha expresado Horacio Preneste, Gerente de Andes Líneas Aéreas.

JetSmart Argentina reanuda directo Rosario-Neuquén

La aérea de presupuesto argentina ha logrado reiniciar los vuelos desde Buenos Aires a Bariloche, Córdoba, Iguazú, Mendoza, Neuquén, Salta, Tucumán y Ushuaia. Además la aerolínea ha anunciado la incorporación de lapróxima ruta a El Calafate desde el 21 de Enero de 2021. El organigrama de vuelos entre Bariloche y Córdoba y Salta-Neuquén continuarán vigentes, mientras que la ruta internacional Buenos Aires–Santiago de Chile también continuará en servicio.

Debido a que la categoría ETOPS de la aeronave había vencido, no podía efectuar la ruta más corta a través del Atlántico. Este tipo de avión requiere un permiso separado por ser una aeronave de dos motores, lo que permite cruzar el océano sin volar a poca distancia de los aeropuertos alternativos. Debido a la llamada certificación ETOPS, Surinam Airways sólo podía volar a los Países Bajos tomando una ruta a lo largo de la costa Este de los Estados Unidos, lo que significaba un desvío de muchas horas. Pero la compañía surinamesa ha acondicionado la aeronave para efectuar la ruta más directa y en el menor tiempo. Mientras tanto, Surinam Airways ha contratado un Airbus 340-300 de Air Belgium para reforzar la ruta transatlántica.

JetBlue Airways ha iniciado este 11 de Diciembre de 2020 el vuelo inaugural entre New York/JFK y Georgetown, Guyana como parte de las estrategias de ampliación de red de servicios en Sudamérica. La compañía low cost con sede en New York/JFK es ahora el tercer operador en esta ruta, uniéndose a Caribbean Airlines con tres servicios semanales, próximamente incrementando un cuarto vuelo semanal, y el servicio tres veces por semana operado por Eastern Airlines.
La ruta cubre una distancia de 4.086 kilómetros hacia el noreste de América del Sur operando inicialmente cuatro vuelos semanales (4Frq/S) utilizando aeronaves Airbus A321NEO con capacidades para 200 asientos. El servicio JFK de JetBlue se complementará con el destino San Juan, aunque este servicio operará solo del 15 de Enero al 8 de Febrero de 2021. Los datos de reserva de OAG Traffic Analyser revelan que apenas 199.000 volaron entre JFK y Georgetown en 2019, con más de 122.000 tráfico de pax en vuelos directos por Caribbean Airlines. En el tráfico indirecto, casi 50.000 volaron vía Puerto España con la misma aerolínea.

JetBlue Airways has started this December 11, 2020 the inaugural flight between New York/JFK and Georgetown, Guyana as part of the service network expansion strategies in South America. The low cost company based in New York/JFK is now the third operator on this route, joining Caribbean Airlines with three weekly services, soon increasing a fourth weekly flight, and the service three times a week operated by Eastern Airlines.
The route covers a distance of 4,086 kilometers to the northeast of South America initially operating four weekly flights (4Frq/S) using Airbus A321NEO aircraft with capacities for 200 seats. JetBlue’s JFK service will be complemented with the San Juan destination, although this service will operate only from January 15 to February 8, 2021. Booking data from OAG Traffic Analyzer reveals that just 199,000 flew between JFK and Georgetown in 2019, with more than 122,000 pax traffic on direct flights by Caribbean Airlines. In indirect traffic, almost 50,000 flew via Port of Spain with the same airline.
