EEUU y Ecuador firman Acuerdo de Cielos Abiertos

Los gobiernos de Ecuador y de Estados Unidos suscribieron el Miércoles 16/11 un Acuerdo de Cielos Abiertos para impulsar el transporte aéreo, al facilitar a las aerolíneas la apertura de nuevas rutas de pasajeros y de carga entre ambos países. El acuerdo lo suscribieron, en Quito, el Ministro de Relaciones Exteriores de Ecuador, Juan Carlos Holguín, y la Subsecretaria de Estado para Asuntos Políticos de Estados Unidos, Victoria Nuland, quien se encuentra en una gira por Latinoamérica.

Por su parte, el Canciller Juan Carlos Holguín señaló que este acuerdo refrenda que Ecuador y Estados Unidos atraviesan el mejor momento de su relación bilateral en las últimas décadas. El titular de la cartera de Relaciones Exteriores y Movilidad Humana destacó el trabajo tomado en la elaboración del documento, con la participación tanto del sector público como del sector aeronáutico. «Estamos felices de firmar este acuerdo, que más vuelos y rutas vengan al Ecuador», reconoció Juan Carlos Holguín, quien espera que las exportaciones ecuatorianas tengan más facilidades para llegar a Estados Unidos pese a no existir aún un acuerdo comercial entre los dos países.

China Aviation Supplies has selected detailed purchase of one hundred thirty-two A320 family aircraft (132) and eight A350 aircraft (8), it said on its official website, citing the batch purchase agreement signed in Beijing, China, during the visit of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz to China on November 4, 2022.

Líneas aéreas Argentina oponen nueva Tasas Aeroportuaria

La Cámara de Diputados ha aprobado el Martes 25/10 en la Ley de Presupuesto 2023, los Artículos referidos a la creación de la nueva Tasa de Seguridad de Aviación propuesta. El objetivo de esta nueva Tasa Seguridad de Aviación es lograr una nueva fuente de financiación para las actividades de la Policía de Seguridad Aeroportuaria (PSA).

Con la introducción de la nueva TSA, los usuarios del transporte aéreo abonarían un nuevo costo en el billete aéreo doméstico e internacional, que alcanzarían en promedio los ARS 250 Pesos Argentinos.

Rechazos en Latinoamérica

Las líneas aéreas de Lartinoamérica se han sumado al rechazo de los incrementos de los costos en la región. Aerolíneas como Wingo Air, Flybondi Líneas Aéreas y Sky Airline de perfil low cost se han unido para reclamar a gobiernos latinos la reducción de impuestos, tasas y costos relacionados a la aviación comercial.

El CEO de Wingo Air, Eduardo Lombarda, Mauricio Sana de Flybondi, y el de Sky, José Ignacio Dougnac, coincidieron en reclamar a gobiernos de Latinoamérica por los obstáculos en el mercado aerocomercial la implementación de más impuestos y tasas altas. Los líderes de las low cost latinas debatieron junto a otros colegas también sobre conectividad, aumento de flota y el vínculo entre el sector público y privado en el Foro de la Asociación Latinoamericana y del Caribe de Transporte Aéreo (ALTA).

La situación actual y las propuestas de reformas tributarias en curso, más los impuestos que pesan sobre la aviación y los viajes, destruyen las oportunidades para conectar los mercados. “La competencia es dura. Es importante adaptarse a los cambios y condiciones. Por ejemplo, los tipos de cambio son muy volátiles. Llegamos a tener más de 50% del costo total en combustible y la capacidad de adaptarse es clave”, dice José Ignacio Dougnac.

En una posición similar, Eduardo Lombarda, CEO de Wingo, menciona que las percepciones incorrectas pueden minar los esfuerzos por avanzar en conectividad y democratización de los viajes.
