APTA reclama a Aerolíneas

AW | 2021 09 02 07:00 | AIRLINES / AVIATION ORGANISMS

Traslado personal técnico de Austral de Aeroparque a Ezeiza

AW-70000190

Transfer of Austral technical staff from Aeroparque to Ezeiza

The Aeronautical Technical Personnel Association (APTA) denounced last week the Aerolíneas Argentinas leadership of trying to transfer all the technical personnel of Austral Líneas Aéreas that work in the Hangar and offices in Aeroparque where maintenance tasks of regional aircraft are carried out. Embraer E190 to Hangar 2 at Ezeiza International Airport. The company’s argument refers to obtaining the Repair Station Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), which is necessary after the synenergy of both airlines. At the same time they want to create a Regional Maintenance Services Center.

The APTA Union led by Ricardo Cirielli rejected the unjustified transfer of personnel. “Both the Aeroparque Hangar and the Ezeiza Hangar are certified by the ANAC, but not by the FAA. You can either request the FAA Certification of one or the other, or of both. The Company has the possibility of requesting the FAA Repair Station Certification of the former Austral Hangar, as it does with EZE Hangar 2. This is not a valid reason for the transfer of Embraer Major Tour staff and work from Aeroparque to Ezeiza. Neither is the creation of a Regional Maintenance Services Center. That Center could perfectly operate distributed between Ezeiza and Aeroparque. The business transfer plan does not contemplate negative impacts or damages for Aerolíneas Argentinas: The former Austral Airport Hangar, where MRO tasks are carried out, will be empty and without any productive activity 16 hours a day. It will only record activity from 10:00 PM to 06:00 AM, during the Minor Tour shift. Aerolíneas will idle a Hangar for two-thirds of the day. It would in fact be a divestiture, with the consequent loss of income for the company”, says the aeronautical union’s press release. Ricardo Cirielli remarked that “in any case, the consequence will be to promote its competition from the Company itself, to the detriment of its profits and the jobs of technical personnel. The authorities have the obligation to give answers to these questions, to all the employees of Aerolíneas Argentinas”. APTA maintains that if the transfer of the MRO works of both Aerolíneas Argentinas and former Austral Líneas Aéreas is established, it will generate operational difficulties and increase costs. In addition, labor conditions would be affected since Hangar 2 in Ezeiza does not have the facilities and adequate space to house the technical personnel who want to move from Jorge Newbery Airport to Ezeiza, to place them in transitory modules (containers), since they would be places Inappropriate as a habitat for Technical personnel.

Aproximación Airshow China 2021

AW | 2021 08 31 20:47 | AIR SHOW

Aproximación de la feria Air Show China 2021

Zhuhai_Airshow_Logo

Approach Airshow China 2021

Approach of the Air Show China 2021 fair

China’s largest air show will showcase its local civil and military aviation technology next September 2021, the mayor of the host city Zhuhai said on Tuesday 08/31. The Biennial China International Aviation and Aerospace Expo, Airshow China 2021, from September 28 to October 3 that was scheduled to take place in the southern city of Zhuhai was postponed from its original date of last November due to the pandemic.

With few foreign attendees expected in person due to strict quarantine rules, the show will include a virtual component and local military and aerospace companies have significantly increased their presence, Zhuhai Mayor Huang Zhihao told reporters. On the military side, the Chinese air force will put up flying displays and the locally-made Wing Loong II drone will make its debut at the show. On the civil side, foreign companies such as Boeing Co, Airbus SE, Rolls-Royce Holdings PLC, CFM International, Honeywell International Inc and Embraer SA will attend through their national subsidiaries. Boeing, which has been trying to get Chinese approval to return its 737 MAX to the skies after a two-year grounding, will have a 65% larger booth than last time, Huang Zhihao said. China has been working to produce more competitive aerospace products at a time of growing trade tensions with the West. The United States and Europe called in June 2021 for a truce in a 17-year aircraft trade war so they can focus on challenging Chinese subsidies.

The Commercial Aircraft Corp of China (COMAC) C919 is designed to compete against the 737 MAX and A320 families, with COMAC aiming for Chinese certification by the end of the year. They have communicated that the new C919 aircraft will not be present as part of the static exhibitions of the aeronautical fair. The C919, which was absent from the 2018 airshow, uses LEAP-1C engines supplied by CFM, a joint venture between General Electric Co and France’s Safran SA. But COMAC hopes to eventually use a native engine, the CJ1000 that is being developed by Aero Engine Corp of China (AECC). A full-size CJ1000 model including gondolas will be displayed on the ground at the Zhuhai fair, said AECC Deputy General Manager Chen Shaoyang.

C919 perfila 1er entrega 4Q2021

AW | 2021 08 31 13:57 | INDUSTRY

COMAC entregará primer C919 a fines de 2021

COMAC_Isologotype

C919 profiles 1st delivery 4Q2021

COMAC will deliver the first C919 by the end of 2021

The Chinese manufacturer COMAC Corporation has announced that it is close to the first delivery of its narrowbody C919twinjet aircraft by the end of 2021. China Eastern Airlines will become the first company to receive the new narrowbody COMAC C919 aircraft. The Shanghai-based airline announced that it would become the world’s first launch customer for the new C919 business model.

The entry into service of the brand new narrowbody C919 aircraft will introduce a new global competitor in its category. The announcement has generated a dash movement regarding the historical European and American constructures. Regarding the future of the Boeing 737 MAX, the approaches continue so that the aircraft can receive its recertification. China Eastern Airlines’ latest fourth-generation aircraft fleet forecast does not have a fixed delivery schedule. The airline stated: «As of the date of this report, the 737 MAX has been parked, so the delivery plan for this aircraft has not been included in future planning».

COMAC Corp. has had to wait a long time to be able to make its first delivery. The C919 made its first test flight more than four years ago, in May 2017. However, it has recently encountered some obstacles that have hampered the certification processes of the new aircraft. Like many aspects of commercial aviation, the current Coronavirus pandemic has been a key factor in these delays. Despite the setbacks, COMAC has been able to continue with its production of the aircraft, which has been touted as a potential replacement for the Airbus A320NEO and Boeing 737 MAX.

C919 perspectives

COMAC Corp will introduce the second and third aircraft of this firm order for China Eastern Airlines in 2022. The airline has been heavily involved in the development of the C919 Program, providing input from the customer’s use and maintenance perspectives, as well as promoting constantly cooperation and innovation in the industrial chain. The new COMAC C919 commercial aircraft will soon be introduced to the world’s airlines, breaking the duopoly of more than thirty years of Airbus and Boeing, which represents a turning point in the history of global commercial aviation.

Nella Inc. toma control Amaszonas

AW | 2021 08 31 11:27 | AIRLINES

Nella Inc takes control of the airline Amaszonas

The holding company Nella Inc. has taken control of the airline Amaszonas Línea Aérea this Monday, 08/30. The US holding company completed the acquisition of the shares of the private Bolivian airline Amaszonas S.A. In a ceremony held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, both companies finalized the merger.

Amaszonas previously announced the transfer of its shares to the North American company with investments in Brazil. The amount of the operation is US$ 50 million. Mauricio Souza, CEO of the Nella group, explained that the firm put its vision in Bolivia due to its strategic location in the center of the continent, which will allow the development of an important air hub in the medium term. «In the coming months we will be giving good news about our next destinations and the projections we have to continue offering a better travel experience to all our users«, said Mauricio Sousa.

The company, now called Amaszonas by Nella, will resume its flights to Brazil in September 2021 as part of its reestablishment of the regional airline network. The flights were listed in ANAC’s authorized service record and the tickets were put up for sale on the company’s website. Amaszonas by Nella will inaugurate from September 15, 2021 three times a week (3Frq/S) the Santa Cruz de la Sierra—Sao Paulo/Guarulhos route on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In October a fourth frequency will be placed, on Sundays. In November there will be five weekly flights and, finally, in December the daily frequencies will return. The airline will operate the route with regional Embraer E190-100 jets configured with 112 passengers. It will be the first time that the company will regularly fly to Brazil after its acquisition by Nella Inc.

At the beginning of August 2021, the Bolivian group announced that, after several attempts to save Amaszonas in the midst of the pandemic crisis, the best option was to sell. In recent months, the number of flights was reduced in the different Bolivian airlines and without being able to get help from the Government, it decided to transfer control to the Brazilian company.
