Nella Inc toma control de la aerolínea Amaszonas
El holding Nella Inc. ha tomado el control de la aerolínea Amaszonas Línea Aérea este Lunes 30/08. El holding estadounidense concretó la adquisición de las acciones de la aerolínea privada boliviana Amaszonas S.A. En un acto realizado en Santa Cruz de la Sierra, ambas empresas finalizaron la concreción de la fusión.
Amaszonas anunció anteriormente el traspaso de sus acciones a la compañía norteamericana con inversiones en Brasil. El monto de la operación asciende a US$ 50 millones. Mauricio Souza, CEO del grupo Nella, explicó que la firma puso su visión en Bolivia por su ubicación estratégica en el centro del continente, lo que permitirá desarrollar un importante hub aéreo a mediano plazo. “En los próximos meses estaremos dando buenas noticias sobre nuestros próximos destinos y las proyecciones que tenemos para seguir ofreciendo una mejor experiencia de viaje a todos nuestros usuarios”, dijo Mauricio Sousa.
La compañía, que ahora se llama Amaszonas by Nella, reanudará sus vuelos a Brasil en Septiembre 2021 como parte de su restablecimiento de la malla aérea regional. Los vuelos se incluyeron en el registro de servicio autorizado de ANAC y los boletos se pusieron a la venta en el sitio web de la compañía. Amaszonas by Nella inaugurará a partir del 15 de Septiembre de 2021 tres veces por semana (3Frq/S) la ruta Santa Cruz de la Sierra—Sao Paulo/Guarulhos los Lunes, Miércoles y Viernes. En Octubre se colocará una cuarta frecuencia, los Domingos. En Noviembre habrá cinco vuelos semanales y, finalmente, en Diciembre retornarán las frecuencias diarias. La aerolínea operará la ruta con aviones regionales jet Embraer E190-100 configurados con 112 pasajeros. Será la primera vez que la compañía volará regularmente a Brasil después de su adquisición por parte de Nella Inc.
A principios de Agosto 2021, el grupo boliviano anunció que, luego de varios intentos por salvar a Amaszonas en medio de la crisis pandémica, la mejor opción era vender. En los últimos meses, el número de vuelos se redujo en las diferentes aerolíneas bolivianas y sin poder conseguir ayuda del Gobierno, decidió transferir el control a la empresa brasileña.

The holding company Nella Inc. has taken control of the airline Amaszonas Línea Aérea this Monday, 08/30. The US holding company completed the acquisition of the shares of the private Bolivian airline Amaszonas S.A. In a ceremony held in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, both companies finalized the merger.
Amaszonas previously announced the transfer of its shares to the North American company with investments in Brazil. The amount of the operation is US$ 50 million. Mauricio Souza, CEO of the Nella group, explained that the firm put its vision in Bolivia due to its strategic location in the center of the continent, which will allow the development of an important air hub in the medium term. “In the coming months we will be giving good news about our next destinations and the projections we have to continue offering a better travel experience to all our users“, said Mauricio Sousa.
The company, now called Amaszonas by Nella, will resume its flights to Brazil in September 2021 as part of its reestablishment of the regional airline network. The flights were listed in ANAC’s authorized service record and the tickets were put up for sale on the company’s website. Amaszonas by Nella will inaugurate from September 15, 2021 three times a week (3Frq/S) the Santa Cruz de la Sierra—Sao Paulo/Guarulhos route on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. In October a fourth frequency will be placed, on Sundays. In November there will be five weekly flights and, finally, in December the daily frequencies will return. The airline will operate the route with regional Embraer E190-100 jets configured with 112 passengers. It will be the first time that the company will regularly fly to Brazil after its acquisition by Nella Inc.
At the beginning of August 2021, the Bolivian group announced that, after several attempts to save Amaszonas in the midst of the pandemic crisis, the best option was to sell. In recent months, the number of flights was reduced in the different Bolivian airlines and without being able to get help from the Government, it decided to transfer control to the Brazilian company.
