Breeze primera aerolínea servicio comercial a San Bernardino

Breeze Airways, la aerolínea de bajo costo más nueva y agradable de los Estados Unidos fundada por el empresario de la aviación David Neeleman, ha realizado el vuelo inaugural el Jueves 04/08 a San Bernardino (CA). El nuevo servicio aerocomercial se ha establecido en la ruta Provo/PVU—San Bernadino/SDB. Breeze operará vuelos diarios sin escalas desde Provo (PVU) y San Bernardino (SBD) al Aeropuerto Internacional de San Francisco (SFO), con tarifas que comienzan desde US$ 39 por trayecto. Además, la aerolínea ofrecerá un servicio «BreezeThru» de una parada/sin cambio de avión entre Provo y San Bernardino, a través de SFO.

Breeze actualmente emplea a más de 250 miembros del equipo en su sede de Salt Lake City y la base de Provo, con planes de contratar a 180 más en el próximo año. Northern Pacific solicita autorización a México

Northern Pacific Airways ha solicitado permisos para volar a México hacia 4Q2022. La compañía continúa en el proceso para obtener las certificaciones aeronáuticas para el nuevo destino. La aerolínea con base en el Aeropuerto Internacional Anchorage/Ted Stevens/ANC solicitó las autorizaciones respectivas para operar vuelos regulares de carga y pasajeros bajo los acuerdos de los términos previstos sobre Acuerdo sobre Transporte Aéreo (ATA) firmado entre Estados Unidos y México. La aerolínea ha solicitado al Departamento de Transporte de los Estados Unidos (DOT) las autorizaciones respectivas para volar desde Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) y San Antonio (SAT) a la Ciudad de México (AICM), Toluca (TLC) y/o Acapulco (ACA), con extensión a la Ciudad de Panamá (PTY); desde Nueva York (JFK), Washington (IAD), Baltimore (BWI), Los Ángeles (LAX) y Houston (IAH) a Ciudad de México (AICM) y Toluca (TLC), con extensión a cualquier destino de Centroamérica y Sudamérica; o desde cualquier punto de los Estados Unidos, a través de un punto intermedio, a un destino en México con extensión a cualquier otro destino.

El Director Ejecutivo de Northern Pacific Airways, Rob McKinney, ha expresado que la decisión de volar a México tiene como objetivo ayudar a la aerolínea a acelerar algunos procesos de certificación que están pendientes, como la Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance Standards (ETOPS) para la flota. Sin embargo, para obtener esta certificación, la Administración Federal de Aviación (FAA) requiere que las aerolíneas se encuentren volando comercialmente alas rutas solicitadas.

La flota de la aerolínea está compuesta por cuatro aviones Boeing 757-200 (4). Actualmente, la aerolínea posee una Carta de Intención (LoI) con United Airlines por ocho unidades adicionales del mismo modelo, bajo el contrato de Arrendamiento con Tripulación (Wet-lease) a partir de Noviembre 2022.

The Executive Director of Northern Pacific Airways, Rob McKinney, has expressed that the decision to fly to Mexico is intended to help the airline accelerate some certification processes that are pending, such as the Extended-range Twin-engine Operations Performance Standards (ETOPS ) for the fleet. However, to obtain this certification, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) requires airlines to be flying commercially on the requested routes.

The airline’s fleet consists of four Boeing 757-200 aircraft (4). Currently, the airline has a Letter of Intent (LoI) with United Airlines for eight additional units of the same model, under the Wet-lease contract from November 2022.

Flybondi inicia destino Buenos Aires—Comodoro Rivadavia

Flybondi Líneas Aéreas ha iniciado el vuelo inaugural desde el Aeropuerto Buenos Aires/Jorge Newbery/AEP a las 11:45 horas y aterrizó en el Aeropuerto Internacional Comodoro Rivadavia/General Enrique Mosconi/CRD a las 14:20 horas, transportando un factor de ocupación del 85%. Los vuelos hacia y desde Comodoro tendrán tres frecuencias semanales (3Frq/S) los días Lunes, Miércoles y Viernes con una tarifa desde AR$ 5644 por tramo (impuestos incluidos).

El Chief Commercial Officer de Flybondi, Federico Pastori, fue recibido por las autoridades locales Germán Issa Pfister, Secretario de Economía de la Municipalidad de Comodoro Rivadavia y Presidente del Ente Comodoro Turismo, Eduardo Carrasco Subsecretario de Gestión Patrimonial y Turismo, Pablo Francavilla Subsecretario de Modernización y Transparencia y Gabriela Zuñeda Gerente del Ente de Comodoro Turismo.

La aerolínea low cost de Argentina contará con tres vuelos semanales Lunes, Miércoles y Viernes siendo Comodoro Rivadavia la tercera ruta de la provincia junto a Trelew, y Puerto Madryn. De la misma manera, este lunes, la compañía lanzó los vuelos a Calafate, sumándose a Bariloche, Neuquén, Ushuaia, Trelew y Puerto Madryn a fin de afianzar su presencia en el sur Patagónico.

Avelo Airlines anuncia servicio a Kalamazoo

Avelo Airlines anunció el servicio de Kalamazoo, Estado de Michigan (MI) a Orlando, Florida (FL) el Jueves 28 de Julio de 2022. La aerolínea se lanzó en Burbank, California (CA) en Abril de 2021 y ahora presta servicios a veintinueve aeropuertos de tres bases junto con New Haven/NHV, Connecticut (CT) y Orlando (FL).

Avelo Airlines announced service from Kalamazoo, Michigan (MI) to Orlando, Florida (FL) on Thursday, July 28, 2022. The airline launched in Burbank, California (CA) in April 2021 and now serves twenty-nine three base airports along with New Haven/NHV, Connecticut (CT), and Orlando (FL).

Growing budget carrier Avelo Airlines also added Capital Region Lansing/LAN International Airport earlier this week as a direct destination to Orlando/MCO. With 376,790 total passengers in 2014, Lansing/LAN is the fourth busiest airport in the State of Michigan.

Buscan ampliar rutas domésticas en la Región Cuyo

El Gobierno de la Provincia de San Juan, Argentina, busca ampliar las conexiones aéreas con el resto del país. La Ministra de Turismo de la Provincia, Claudia Grynzspan, destacó que se viene dialogando con Flybondi Líneas Aéreas y JetSmart Airlines Argentina para sumar vuelos pero el problema actual de combustible dificulta su concreción.

Sumar más vuelos en las rutas aéreas que incluyen a San Juan es uno de los objetivos que movilizó a las autoridades del Ministerio de Turismo de San Juan en el primer semestre del 2022. «No vamos a poder tener resultados el próximo mes porque el combustible hace que la expansión de estas compañías se vean dilatadas. Sin dudas San Juan está en condiciones de traer más vuelos y lo hemos logrado», señaló la ministra Claudia Grynszpan.

La funcionaria contó que los vuelos que vienen a la provincia como así también aquellos que tienen su ruta a Buenos Aires, tienen una ocupación casi completa, de más del 90%. Eso genera un gran interés en el sector y ven con buenos ojos a San Juan. «Las low cost miran a San Juan con interés y ellos saben que tenemos temporadas completas», expresó la Ministra de Turismo, señalando que hace quince días se había estado hablando de la posibilidad de ampliar el servicio.

Low-cost colombiana desembarca en Buenos Aires/EZE

Wingo ha anunciado el pasado 20/07 la ampliación de sus rutas hacia argentina como parte de la expansión de sus rutas en Sudamérica. La Administración Nacional de Aviación Civil (ANAC) de Argentina autorizó a la nueva aerolínea de low cost para iniciar operaciones hacia Argentina. Wingo ingresa como operador internacional en las rutas entre Colombia y Argentina.

A través de la Resolución Nº 379/2022 de la ANAC que se publicó el Lunes 20/07 en el Boletín Oficial, se estableció autorizar a la empresa de bandera colombiana Copa Colombia Wingo a explotar servicios regulares internacionales de transporte de pasajeros, carga y correo en Colombia desde Medellín, Cartagena, Cali, Barranquilla, San Andrés, Pereira y Bucaramanga y en Argentina, únicamente hacia el Aeropuerto Internacional Ezeiza/EZE.

La compañía panameña-colombiana deberá esperar a que la agencia de la ANAC apruebe la programación correspondiente para las siete frecuencias solicitadas, mientras se aguarda la programación de las fechas y los horarios. La compañía low-cost ofrecerá novedosas conexiones entre Colombia y Argentina con una única escala en Panamá.

Wingo cuenta con una flota de ocho aeronaves Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (8). Estos aviones, único modelo con el que opera la compañía de bajo presupuesto actualmente, cuentan con una capacidad para 186 pasajeros, y una tecnología de ahorro de energía y combustible en vuelo que los hacen acordes a los parámetros actuales de emisión de carbono que aconseja la industria.

En Febrero 2022, Wingo había manifestado su interés por desembarcar en el mercado aerocomercial argentino, afirmando su intención de conectar Buenos Aires con las ciudades de Medellín y Cali, además de la posibilidad de llegar directamente hacia ciudades argentinas del interior como Córdoba, Rosario, Salta y Mendoza. “Nuestra misión no pasa por recuperar solamente los niveles prepandemia, sino por superarlos. Por eso, le brindamos toda nuestra colaboración a Wingo y establecimos una agenda de trabajo para concretar nuevas rutas aéreas entre Colombia y Argentina”, señaló en ese momento el titular del Instituto Nacional de Promoción Turística (Inprotur), Ricardo Sosa.

Wingo no es la única empresa aérea colombiana de bajo presupuesto que se suma al mercado argentino. Viva Air, que une Bogotá y Medellín con Buenos Aires, comenzó a volar en el país en Junio 2022 y conecta las ciudades latinoamericanas de forma directa. Además, la empresa tiene intenciones de conectar Córdoba con Medellín, aunque todavía no obtuvo la autorización para operar esta ruta.

“La apertura de Buenos Aires como nuevo destino internacional de Viva es particularmente importante para nosotros como aerolínea y para mí como argentino, pues seremos la única compañía que opera la ruta Buenos Aires—Medellín de forma directa y con nuestros característicos precios bajos que hacen más accesible este destino para los argentinos. Los argentinos podrán conectar con precios low cost con el resto del continente a ciudades como Miami, Ciudad de México, Cancún y Punta Cana, a través de su Centro de Conexiones, Hub Medellín, y a todas las playas colombianas”, señaló Félix Antelo, CEO de Viva Air, cuando presentó los vuelos inaugurales de la empresa.

Wingo hacia Venezuela

Recientemente la Unidad Administrativa Especial de Aeronáutica Civil de Colombia autorizó a Wingo como así también a Avianca Airlines y Latam Airlines para abrir rutas hacia Venezuela, para explotar los servicios Bogotá—Caracas y Bogotá—Valencia. Las tres aerolíneas están a la espera del visto bueno del INAC Venezuela, con el cual han sostenido reuniones en las últimas semanas.

American Airlines incremente vuelos a Buenos Aires/EZE

La aerolínea estadounidense American Airlines ha informado que incorporará más vuelos entre Miami, Dallas y Nueva York hacia Buenos Aires/EZE al incorporar frecuencias adicionales para finales de 2022. La aerolínea agrega una nueva opción en su ruta Miami/MIA—Buenos Aires/EZE, alcanzando un total de tres frecuencias diarias (3Frq/D) entre el 15 de Diciembre de 2022 y el 2 de Enero de 2023. La operación de American en Buenos Aires incluirá en Diciembre 2022 tres vuelos diarios (3Frq/D) al Aeropuerto Internacional de Miami/MIA, un vuelo diario (1Frq/D) al Aeropuerto Internacional Dallas-Fort Worth/DFW y uno (1Frq/D) al Aeropuerto Internacional New York/John F. Kennedy/JFK. Además, ha comunicado que modificará su flota actual en los vuelos AA900 y AA908 con destino a Miami, intercambiando el Boeing 777-200 por el Boeing 777-300 y el Boeing 787-8. Estos cambios se implementarán a partir del 30/10 hasta el 25 de Marzo de 2023.
