El nuevo Airbus A330-200 ha sido matriculado con registro LV-KAO. La aeronave ha salido de fábrica con registro SN899, el 14/01/2008, con Registro de Prueba F-WWKN. La aeronave ha servido para la aerolínea TAP Air Portugal con registro CS-TOM a partir del 05/02/2008. Ha estado almacenado del 12/2019 al 04/2020 en San Bernardino (CA), Estados Unidos.

Royal Air Maroc (RAM) ha anunciado la cancelación de dos aviones Boeing 737-8 MAX (2). Actualmente, la aerolínea marroquí opera dos Boeing 737-8 MAX que recibió en 2018 y 2019. Aerolíneas Argentinas ganó tres premios por compromiso ambiental
Aerolíneas Argentinas fue reconocida en tres ocasiones por la Alianza SkyTeam. Además, fue finalista en otras dos categorías. Los reconocimientos fueron en el marco de la iniciativa «El Desafío del Vuelo Sustentable», que fue llevada adelante por la alianza de líneas aéreas. Junto a quince aerolíneas miembros de Skyteam se realizaron 22 vuelos con más de 700 innovaciones únicas que permitieron reducir hasta un 15% la emisión de CO2.
La empresa argentina se alzó con tres premios y terminó como finalista en otros dos:
Reducción de emisiones de CO2 en largo recorrido: Aerolíneas Argentinas introdujo modificaciones en el proceso de carga y ocupación de las bodegas haciéndolo más eficiente y reduciendo el consumo por tonelada transportada. También, las reducciones del consumo tienen relación directa con su Programa de Eficiencia en Combustible (PEC), que realiza el seguimiento y análisis de la forma en que se utiliza el combustible en vuelo. Y el concepto de «Free Route Airspace» (FRA) tiene que ver con un sistema de navegación con diferentes puntos de entrada y salida de espacios aéreos con el objetivo de volar directo y mejorar la trayectoria del vuelo en función de la distancia más corta.
Innovación en Cargas: el sector de Cargas incorporó nuevos pallets más livianos que pesan 101 kg, contra los 130 kg que pesaban los anteriores.
El jurado de la consultora internacional Bain&Co valoró el impacto directo que la reducción en peso tiene sobre las emisiones de CO2 y el potencial de implementación en toda la red de vuelos. También, la empresa fue finalista en las categorías de “Reducción de emisiones de CO2 en vuelos de mediano recorrido” y “Reducción de emisiones de CO2 en vuelos de corto recorrido”.
El Presidente de Aerolíneas Argentinas, Pablo Ceriani, dijo que “este tipo de reconocimientos dan cuenta del excelente nivel profesional que tenemos en Aerolíneas Argentinas y del compromiso existente con las convenciones internacionales, el medio ambiente y las innovaciones en materia de sostenibilidad”.
“El Desafío del Vuelo Sustentable” es una competencia amistosa de la que participaron 16 de las 18 líneas aéreas que integran la alianza SkyTeam. Tiene por objetivo llevar adelante innovaciones en los vuelos que permitan su realización de un forma sostenible y más amigable con el medio ambiente.
En total, fueron 14 iniciativas/categorías, todas relacionadas a la mejora de procesos asociados a la reducción de la huella de carbono y materiales contaminantes. El jurado estuvo integrado por reconocidos profesionales de la industria aérea, consultores y expertos en cambio climático. También participó el Real Centro Aeroespacial de los Países Bajos, uno de los principales institutos tecnológicos de Europa asociados a la industria.

Aerolínea china expande flota de aviones cargueros
SF Airlines, la mayor aerolínea de carga aérea de la República Popular de China, experimentó una continua expansión de su flota con la incorporación de cinco nuevos aviones de carga hasta la fecha. El 11 de Julio de 2022, la compañía informó que el tamaño de la flota de la empresa llegó a 73 unidades tras incorporar un carguero Boeing 757-200 (1) en este mismo mes. Este nuevo avión empezó a operar en la ruta Beijing—Shenzhen para reforzar el servicio de entrega expresa de paquetes entre el norte y el sur del país. Esta nueva expansión y la optimizada capacidad de carga apoyarán fuertemente el transporte aéreo de la compañía en la temporada alta de transporte de frutas y otros productos agrícolas frescos.

SF Airlines, the largest air cargo carrier in the People’s Republic of China, has seen continuous expansion of its fleet with the addition of five new cargo aircraft to date. Amaszonas by Nella recibe renovación de certificado operador
La empresa boliviana Amaszonas by Nella, miembro de Nella Airlines Group, acaba de recibir de las autoridades aeronáuticas de Bolivia la renovación de su Certificado para Vuelos Regulares de pasajeros y carga. La concesión, con una vigencia de cinco años, fue emitida por la DGAC (Dirección General de Aeronáutica Civil) y la ATT (Autoridad de Regulación y Fiscalización de Telecomunicaciones y Transportes).
La aerolínea fue adquirida por Nella Airlines Group. «Cuando fue adquirida, la compañía estaba incumpliendo con varios estándares regulatorios, y no es posible renovar una concesión de una aerolínea regular si no hay un cumplimiento del 100% con la legislación y regulaciones del país. Coordinamos todo el proyecto, desde la adquisición de Amaszonas por parte de Nella hasta ahora», dijo Cristiane Secco, del Estudio Albuquerque Melo Abogados, quien apoyó plenamente el trabajo legal de reestructuración. La reestructuración tomó casi un año e implicó negociaciones de contratos de arrendamiento, deudas laborales, impuestos y proveedores, así como ajustes relacionados con los estándares de seguridad.
Migración a Nella
Amaszonas Línea Aérea ha anunciado el cambio de denominación como transportadora aérea en Bolivia bajo la denominación Nella Airlines Bolivia. “Cuando fue adquirida, la empresa estaba incumpliendo con varios estándares regulatorios, y no es posible renovar una concesión para una aerolínea regular si no se cumple al 100% con la legislación y las regulaciones del país. La filial boliviana planea incorporar a la brevedad aeronaves Boeing 737-800 hacia 1Q2023, para realizar rutas regionales a Brasil, Chile, Argentina, Perú y Paraguay, mientras que proyecta incorporar carga aérea entre Bolivia y Estados Unidos empleando dos Boeing 737-800 BCF.
Actualmente, Amaszonas by Nella opera con tres Embraer E190-100 (3) en Santa Cruz de la Sierra/VVI, Cochabamba/CBB, Sucre/SRE y La Paz/LPB, Iquique/IQQ y Asunción del Paraguay/ASU. Además, tiene previsto restablecer los vuelos regulares a Río de Janeiro/GIG, São Paulo/GRU y Foz do Iguaçu/IGU; como así también destinos a Argentina y Perú.

Spirit Airlines lanza el nuevo servicio conectividad a bordo FlytLIVE
Spirit Airlines ha comenzado a proporcionar servicios de Internet a bordo a sus pasajeros en la mayoría de sus vuelos operados por Airbus A320 y A321, según un anuncio del 13 de Julio de 2022. Spirit Airlines launches new FlytLIVE inflight connectivity service
Spirit Airlines has begun providing inflight Internet services to its passengers on most of its flights operated by Airbus A320 and A321, according to an announcement on July 13, 2022. The deployment of In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) by Spirit comes after several years of service launch delays, with former Miramar, Florida (FL-based) low-cost carrier Ted Christie initially targeting mid-2019. To date, passengers now have the ability to connect to Spirit’s IFC service using Thales’ «FlytLIVE» cabin portal, which the Toulouse, France-based company describes as a platform that supports full internet services including streaming video, games, social networks and live television for passengers.
The service is currently active on all aircraft in Spirit’s A320 and A321 fleet, with expansion of its A319 fleet expected to occur at a future date yet to be determined. According to Thales, FlytLIVE is enabled by a set of strategic agreements first established with satellite operators SES and Hughes Network Systems in 2017. Under the agreements, SES contracts with Hughes for service on the EchoStar XVII and EchoStar XIX HTS satellites and combines them with its AMC-15 and AMC-16 satellites to provide the four-satellite network that initially enables connectivity for Spirit passengers.
A fifth satellite, SES-17, was confirmed operational by the UK-based operator on 06/16. SES-17 is a High Throughput System (HTS) geostationary Earth orbit (GEO) satellite, the first operated by SES to feature a fully digital payload. It features 200 spot beams that can be dynamically adjusted and aligned with changing customer needs.
«This is a truly groundbreaking time in the industry as Spirit adds inflight services and product options previously unavailable on ultra-low-fare carriers», said Matt Klein, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, Spirit Airlines.
In a separate press release announcing the availability of the new service, Thales states that FlytLIVE will offer ultra-high speeds of up to 400 Mbps to Spirit aircraft. FlytLIVE service will initially be available on most Spirit-operated routes, with the exception of select routes in the Caribbean islands, as well as Central and South America. However, once FlytLIVE connects to the SES-17 satellite, the service is expected to expand to all Spirit-operated routes. «The system’s reliability and performance are receiving rave reviews from Spirit passengers who can now stream to their hearts’ content», said TK Kallenbach, CEO of Thales InFlyt Experience.

Continúan las cancelaciones de vuelos en Europa
Miles de vuelos continúan siendo cancelados en medio de la falta de empleados en Europa con Lufthansa German Airlines y British Airways con grandes suspensiones en sus redes de servicios poniendo en jaque la malla de vuelos en el Reino Unido y Alemania. La compañía alemana ha cancelado más de 5.000 vuelos, mientras que la inglesa ha reducido su programación en 10.300 partidas.
La oleada de cancelaciones en las grandes aerolíneas europeas amenazan las vacaciones de verano europeo. Lufthansa Airlines está estudiando suspender las ventas durante lo que resta de mes de Julio 2022 al no poder atender el elevado nivel de demanda. Cabe recordar que, entre Julio y Agosto, la compañía se ha visto obligada a dejar en tierra más de 5.000 vuelos, que suman a las 770 conexiones suspendidas a lo largo de esta semana. En el caso de British Airways continúa padeciendo el caos en London/Heathrow, que anunció recientemente que hasta el próximo 11 de Septiembre de 2022 ha tomado la difícil decisión de introducir un límite en su capacidad de 100.000 viajeros de salidas diarias. Asimismo, solicitó a las aerolíneas que dejasen de vender billetes para este verano.
Las limitaciones de vuelos está convirtiendo los retrasos en cancelaciones. En el mes de Mayo 2022, la compañía del IAG Group había anunciado unos recortes de hasta un 10%, elevándose a un 11% en los días siguientes. Ahora, la nueva adaptación ha incrementado esa cifra hasta un 13%, suponiendo una reducción de más de 10.300 vuelos respecto a la perspectiva inicial.
Más allá de estas complicaciones, la gran mayoría de los hubs europeos siguen experimentando grandes demoras. Bruselas, Frankfurt, Eindhoven, London/Luton, Budapest, Lisboa y London/Gatwick son los que más sufren en este sentido.
