Virgin Atlantic Airways ha recibido el Domingo 16/10 su primer Airbus A330-900NEO. El vuelo de entrega desde Toulouse/Blagnac/TLS a Londres/Heathrow/LHR ha aterrizado iniciando una nueva etapa en el proceso de modernización de flota de la aerolínea de ocio británica. La aeronave ha recibido el nombre de Billie Holiday.

At an event held at Kuwait International Airport/KWI, Jazeera Airways took delivery of its tenth and eleventh Airbus A320NEO aircraft, bringing the airline’s fleet to a total of nineteen (19) aircraft from seven (7) in 2018. Senate would not extend the term for homogeneous certification
The US Senate is not likely to grant The Boeing Company an extension to the certification deadline for the Boeing 737-7 MAX and Boeing 737-10 MAX versions. Boeing would only have until December 2022 to demonstrate the airworthiness of the 737-7 MAX and 737-10 MAX to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) has proposed extending Boeing’s deadline to September 2024 by attaching an amendment to the US Senate’s annual defense bill. However, the latest version of the bill reportedly does not include the crucial amendment.
The Boeing 737 MAX was initially grounded after serious design flaws led to two plane crashes that killed 346 people. Since then, 737 MAX aircraft have been conditionally cleared by the FAA for re-entry into service under strict safety regulations. The country’s civil aviation regulatory agency required Boeing to make several significant changes to the 737 MAX before it could be properly recertified.
Major pilot unions are divided on the issue. The Southwest Airlines pilots union, SWAPA, supports an extension of the deadline, while the American Airlines pilots union, APA, opposes the American construction company being granted an extension.
