Leonardo lanzamiento marca VIP

AW | 2021 10 05 14:30 | INDUSTRY

Lanzamiento nueva marca Agusta helicópteros VIP

AW-Leonardo Company_Isologotype_001

Leonardo VIP brand launch

Launch of new brand Agusta VIP helicopters

Leonardo Company announced the launch of a new initiative to strengthen its world leadership position in the field of VIP/corporate transport helicopters, paving the way for new sustainable and advanced solutions for air mobility in the field of vertical flight. As of this Monday 04/10, Agusta becomes the representative brand of Leonardo’s philosophy and distinctive values in terms of design, technology and services in the executive transport helicopter sector.

Leveraging the weight of the iconic Agusta name in the global helicopter industry, thanks to its distinctive capabilities and unmatched performance, technology, style and customization, Leonardo will incorporate new services and solutions to provide operators with an enhanced and even more special flight experience. The new VIP brand was announced at the grand opening of the innovative helicopter terminal in Dubai together with the operator Falcon Aviation Services that will facilitate mobility to and from the Expo 2020 area deliberately named Casa Agusta. The presence of the revolutionary AW609 tiltrotor in Dubai for its first official presentation in the region, represents a vision of modern air mobility that brings Agusta values into a new era. Drawing on the heritage of an iconic name embedded in the helicopter industry community and a symbol of commitment to stay at the forefront of innovation, Agusta is a unique combination of the best in performance, comfort and distinguished Italian style. Leonardo is committed to providing operators, now and in the future, with unmatched customized solutions. These solutions will include new dedicated operational services, new configurations for interiors and accessories and new customization possibilities in the VIP transport sector.

Gian Piero Cutillo, from Leonardo Helicopters MD, said: “With Agusta we give our VIP operators a strong brand that they can recognize and easily identify with, a sign that embodies their desire for excellence and quality with a personal touch and distinction. , which includes your flight experience. We want them to be themselves before takeoff, during the flight and upon arrival at their destination, differentiating them from others. The strength and recognition of the Agusta brand legacy is still alive in this particular market segment».

Since the arrival of the popular and iconic A109 fifty years ago, speed and elegance have been clear examples of recurring words from operators to define a helicopter and an experience. The significant growth and evolution of the range of highly successful solutions in all civil and public service applications over the past decades led Agusta to become synonymous with such performance characteristics, aerodynamics, advanced technology and high levels of exceptional customization. This is particularly true and persistent for passenger transportation functions.

The announcement took place at the grand opening of Leonardo and Falcon Aviation Services’ new helicopter terminal in Dubai, deliberately designated Casa Agusta. The terminal will facilitate mobility to and from the Expo 2020 venue in Dubai. An AW609 TiltRotor and a full-scale AW609 corporate/VIP cabin mockup will be on static display near Casa Agusta for a limited period. The AW609 TiltRotor’s first appearance in the Middle East with its official unveiling in Dubai marks the global commercial launch of the revolutionary multirole aircraft as it approaches civilian certification.

The design of Casa Agusta is based on a completely new concept, combining an airstrip, an exhibition hall and rest areas in a single helipad located in the city. This concept will support the development of a network of point-to-point connections for urban commutes and intercity connections, while meeting the growing demands for sustainable and modern vertical mobility, as well as greater access to urban areas. Users and passengers in the VIP and charter transport sector will receive levels of services typically available at large private airport facilities far from downtown and urban areas. Casa Agusta presents a solid eco-sustainable modular design with the use of recyclable materials. If necessary, the terminal can be disassembled, transported, and reassembled elsewhere. The main operator Falcon Aviation Services will use the terminal to provide best-in-class helicopter transportation services.

The experience must generate the sensations of the Agusta brand before each takeoff and landing. To this end, Leonardo has developed an ideal infrastructure, present at the beginning and end of each trip. A modern, modular, sustainable and refined terminal that responds to the evolution of air mobility with adaptable spaces and areas dedicated to both business and relaxation. By combining this extraordinary infrastructure and the revolutionary AW609, capable of guaranteeing the versatility typical of vertical flight and the high performance of a turboprop aircraft, what Leonardo presents today in Dubai perfectly embodies the company’s vision of the not-too-distant future. in modern air mobility.

Alessandro Profumo, CEO of Leonardo, said: “The aviation industry of the third millennium is rapidly evolving towards new forms of mobility, with the objectives of modernity, safety and sustainability. In fact, our goal is not only to build new bridges for the exchange of goods and services, but, more importantly, to encourage the movement of people and new ideas, which are key to economic and cultural growth. Leonardo wants to be a driver of this transformation, taking advantage of the capabilities that distinguish us: high-end technologies, professionalism and people-centeredness. What we announce and show here today will go a long way toward supporting this evolution in mobility».

With a market share of over 40% for multi-engine VIP helicopters delivered by deliveries, Leonardo is an undisputed leader in this sector. The company has the broadest and most modern range of capabilities and models of any other manufacturer, meeting and even exceeding the strictest safety and certification standards with a line of advanced technologies for navigation, mission, safety and cabin experience.

Qantas analiza reemplazar aviones pequeño porte

AW-QantasLimk_Boeing 717-20001

Qantas_Isologotype

Qantas Airways is in talks with several aircraft manufacturers about plans to renew its main fleets of narrow-body and regional aircraft and is expected to formalize negotiations with a tender announcement within days, industry sources said. The Australian airline is studying the Airbus A220 and Embraer E2 to replace a regional fleet of Boeing 717 (20) and Fokker 100 (18). Even the Australian airline is studying the Boeing 737-7 MAX, the smallest member of its best-selling single-aisle family, as an option. In the busiest part of the market, Airbus and Boeing are competing to win the tug-of-war.

Qantas seeks to replace the older Boeing 737-800s, which are approximately twenty years old. The combined moves could lead to tiered purchases of up to 100 jets, including options, the sources said.

Qantas Airways Chief Executive Alan Joyce declined to comment before a virtual press conference scheduled for Monday 04/10. Aircraft makers Airbus, Boeing and Embraer also declined to comment. Talks about the influential airline’s business have been going on for months, but Qantas is expected to set its requirements publicly within days as it and other airlines see potential deals for the planes in the wake of the COVID-crisis. 19. «We have said for some time that the renewal of our national narrow-body fleet is on our agenda. It is a long-term proposal and when we have material updates to provide, we will do so», said a Qantas spokesman.

Qantas Airways had initially planned to place an order in 2020, but that was delayed by the pandemic. Chief Financial Officer Vanessa Hudson said in February 2021 that a tender would be launched this year. Qantas budget airline Jetstar has 109 A320NEO family aircraft on order, but the start of deliveries has been postponed until at least July 2022 due to the impact of the pandemic. In a separate competition dubbed ‘Project Sunrise’, Qantas selected Airbus over Boeing for aircraft capable of organizing the world’s longest commercial flights from Sydney to London, but plans were delayed by the pandemic. Alan Joyce said in August 2021 that the order for the A350 family would not be reviewed again until international borders were reopened.

Australia said on Friday 10/01 that a phased opening of international borders would begin next month, but only vaccinated citizens and permanent residents would be included and required to self-quarantine at home for seven days upon arrival. The country has not set a date for opening its borders to foreigners.

Avianca-Sky aproximan sinergia

AW | 2021 10 03 12:35 | AIRLINES ALLIANCE

Avianca-Sky approach synergy

Avianca-Sky seek merger to strengthen the region

The President of Sky Airline, Holger Paulmann, would have been approaching negotiations on the merger of the companies and the acceptance of the proposal to become the Director of the new Avianca Airlines at the regional level. As a result of the synergy, the two airlines would become the largest low cost in Latin America. CEO Holger Paulmann would become a shareholder of the parent, but for the present, the Colombian airline has not made an official pronouncement.

The restrictions due to the pandemic led Avianca, one of the most important airlines in Latin America and the oldest in the world, forced to adhere to Chapter 11 of the Bankruptcy Code in the United States in May 2021. Since the company made the The announcement was emphatic in that this decision did not indicate that it was bankrupt, but that it had financial difficulties to pay its obligations. The reorganization plan was already approved in August of this year by the board of directors and in mid-September judicial approval was given to send it to the creditors for voting. Avianca will return to the New York Courts in October 2021, when United States Bankruptcy Judge Martin Glenn considers the results to decide whether to approve the restructuring plan.

For its part, Sky Airline before the pandemic invested about US$ 500 million in the renewal of its fleet in pursuit of its goal of being the main low-cost airline in the region. However, with the arrival of the Coronavirus, and restrictions to contain its spread, flights were suspended. It was then that Holger Paulman began to contemplate the possibility of divesting a part of the company to seek resources. After several unsuccessful attempts with different companies such as GOL Linhas Aéreas, businessman Nicolás Ibáñez Scott by Drake Enterprises AG, Elliot Management, Indigo Partners, an investment fund specialized in airlines, and Caoba Capital, a global investment fund focused on the aerospace sectors, services, industrial, logistics and outsourcing

The funds approached the Chapter 11 process of Avianca Airlines, and that, although there is another Chilean fund contributing in the DIP (Debtor in Possession), Moneda Asset, it will be Elliot Management that was already a creditor of the Colombian airline, and Caoba Capital the that will control Avianca and the possible synergy with Sky Airline.

Airbus presents ESM-2/ESM-3 modules

Modules that will contribute Artemis missions to the Moon

NASA_Isologotype

Delivery of the 2nd European Service Module: from Europe to the Moon. On Wednesday October 6, representatives of the media are invited to participate in a virtual tour of the Airbus Cleanroom for the delivery of the European Service Module ESM-2 and to see ESM-3, both key parts of Europa’s contribution to the Artemis Missions to the Moon.

Orion is NASA’s next exploration spacecraft that will send humans into space. It is designed to send astronauts into space further than ever, beyond the Moon to asteroids and even to Mars.

The European Space Agency (ESA) has contracted and oversees the development of the European Service Module, the part of the Orion spacecraft that provides air, electricity and propulsion. Like a train locomotive pulling passenger cars and supplying power, the European service module will propel the Orion crew module to its destination and back to Earth.

During the virtual tour, you will see the European Service Modules ESM-2, which will be ready for shipment to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, and ESM-3, which is in the process of completion in late 2022. The first module, ESM-1, is fully integrated with the Orion capsule and is now in final preparations for launch on Artemis I, the first unmanned lunar mission. The second Artemis mission, with ESM-2, will carry up to four astronauts on a flyby around the Moon and ESM-3 will carry the first humans to land on the Moon since December 1972.

ANAC finally granted authorizations for airlines to operate some of their October flights from Argentina or to the country. Nine airlines received the news this Thursday 09/30, for which thousands of travelers who intend to return or fly abroad in the next few days only in the last hours had confirmation on whether or not they will finally be able to use their tickets in a timely manner. . It is unpredictable for airlines to grant frequencies with so little time to establish sales quotas, while airline schedules are scheduled based on availabilities or modifications.

The Argentine Airlines payroll includes Tuesday and Friday flights from Aeroparque to Asunción and the return on the same days; Wednesdays from Ezeiza to Bogotá and Thursdays in reverse; Tuesdays and Fridays from Aeroparque to Montevideo with return the same days; the Tuesday flight from Ezeiza to Lima, and from Lima to Ezeiza; Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays from Ezeiza to Madrid, and flights from Madrid to Ezeiza on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

It is expected that in the next few hours the complete list of authorizations will be known, just 24 hours from the start of operations in October 2021.

The airlines of the United States will meet with the aeronautical agency of the National Directorate of Civil Aviation (DINAC) of the Republic of Paraguay to deepen the negotiations to promote direct flights between the United States and Paraguay, said the Director of DINAC, Douglas Cubilla.

DINAC has revealed the interest of several American airlines to disembark in the South American country and that in this month of October 2021 they will continue to analyze the different proposals. In the meantime, the Asunción/Silvio Petirossi International Airport continues to comply with current health security protocols.

Eastern Airlines had suspended its air frequencies until 02/11. The company indicated that the decision taken was based on the collaboration of humanitarian aid in Afghanistan, hoping to resume its operations with a schedule for 11/16.
