Comienza instalación filtro banda C 5G para altímetros de radio

Las aerolíneas estadounidenses han comenzado a instalar un reemplazo de altímetro de radio para los aviones modelo Airbus A320 en servicio que actualmente cuentan con altímetros susceptibles a la interferencia de las señales inalámbricas de banda C 5G generadas por las redes recientemente desplegadas por AT&T y Verizon. The A320 Radio Altimeter Modernization Program for U.S.-registered A320s is the result of the requirement issued by the FAA in June for operators of regional aircraft that the agency has identified as most susceptible to signal interference. 5G C-band wireless companies install radio frequency filters by the end of the year 2022.

«At this stage, Thales has received around 2,000 orders for its enhanced 5G-immune radio altimeters», Thales notes in its LinkedIn updates. Thales first obtained a European Technical Standard Order authorization from EASA for the ERT530R in July. The ERT530R uses bandpass radio frequency filtering, a technique that isolates signals within certain frequencies, in this case, those in the 4.2-4.4 GHz range used by aircraft radiometers. Signals that occur above and below this range, such as those from AT&T and Verizon’s 5G networks, are attenuated.

Aircraft radio altimeters operate within 4.2–4.4 GHz, the lower half of which falls within C-Band, a frequency range of 3.7–4.2 GHz where the combination of signal transmission range and capacity is optimal. The 5G wireless networks operated by AT&T and Verizon are within the 3.7 to 3.98 GHz frequency range, near altimeters.

Under an agreement reached with the FAA in June 2022, announced along with the RF filter requirement, AT&T and Verizon are delaying the power-up of some portions of their respective 5G C-band wireless networks until July 2023.

The A320, like all Airbus aircraft models except the A380, are equipped with two radio altimeters that provide altitude information to the aircraft’s Autopilot, Autothrust, Primary Flight Displays and Weather Radar, among other navigation systems. according to the 2011 article «Radio Altimeter Erroneous Values» published by two Airbus engineers.

Several US airlines in August 2022 regarding the FAA’s 5G C-band radio frequency filter requirement declined to comment on individual progress with in-service aircraft modernization. I don’t have an exact number of aircraft that have been refitted, but the count is above 50 and we know that numerous kits are in transit or are already in the hands of operators», wrote a representative of the ANAC Brasil aviation agency.

Tribunal francés decidirá sobre accidente Yemenia Airways en 2009

Un Tribunal francés emite el Miércoles 14/09 su veredicto sobre los cargos de homicidio involuntario contra la compañía aérea Yemenia Airways por el accidente del vuelo IY626 en 2009 que mató a 152 personas, pero que milagrosamente dejó viva a una niña de 12 años. La campaña del sistema de PreViaje emitido por el Gobierno de Argentina para viajes domésticos continúa generando fuertes expectativas a medida que se acerca la temporada estival. Alrededor de más de 150.000 solicitudes han sido emitidas para viajes en el país, de los cuales unas 100.000 reservas de pasajes se han realizado por Aerolíneas Argentinas. El Ministerio de Turismo y Deporte ha expresado que estas cifras se han alcanzado el Viernes 09/09. El responsable de la cartera, Matías Lammens, ha ponderado el éxito de las dos ediciones anteriores que han estimulado el turismo interno en medio de las restricciones y salida de la pandemia, «demostró que el Estado también puede ser eficiente».

La tercer edición denominada PreViaje 3 posee más beneficios después de las restricciones de la crisis sanitaria. «Es una edición diferente, porque en su momento, este programa fue para sostener una industria que estaba en facturación cero, pero que ahora está muy recuperada y creciendo con mucho vigor», sostiene el Ministro de Turismo.

La modalidad del programa PreViaje es el reintegro hasta el 50% de los gastos emitidos por el paquete de viajes en Argentina para ser utilizado como parte de gastos en la estadía. La demanda continúa en aumento desde los meses de septiembre, Octubre y Noviembre 2022, que representas meses de periodos de baja temporada, mientras los índices marcan una suba sustancial de los valores de ventas en transporte, alquileres y reservas de hoteles. En los últimos meses, el ranking de recuperación de empleo se viene estableciendo en el orden del 2,2% generado por las estimulaciones a la industria turística con el programa de PreViaje.

Los destinos favoritos fueron Puerto Iguazú, Mendoza, Ushuaia, Córdoba, El Calafate, Bariloche, Salta, Tucumán y Trelew. A dos días del inicio de la tercera edición del PreViaje se hicieron más de 100.000 reservas de pasajes en Aerolíneas Argentinas. «La puesta en marcha del programa PreViaje 3 generó una fluida venta de pasajes en Aerolíneas Argentinas, ya que fueron 68 mil el martes y 51.000 el Miércoles 07/09 y en estos dos primeros días Puerto Iguazú, Mendoza, Ushuaia, Córdoba, El Calafate, Bariloche, Salta, Tucumán y Trelew, se ubicaron como los destinos más requeridos”, detalló el Director Comercial, Planeamiento y Gestion de Rutas CCO Chief Commercial Officer, Fabián Lombardo. El directivo precisó que el Martes 06/09, al abrirse la instancia de compra de tickets en el PreViaje 3, “se concretaron 68.000 reservas, un incremento del 130% en la comparación con el mismo día de las últimas tres semanas. El Miércoles fueron 51.000 las reservas, un alto nivel si se observase que el promedio de venta de pasajes de martes y miércoles venía siendo de entre 28.000 y 30.0000 entre los nueve destinos con registro de más venta de boletos, Iguazú figura con 10 mil, Mendoza 9 mil y Ushuaia 8 mil”, sostuvo el Director Comercial.

Especificó que “el promedio de estadía en los destinos, arroja que la gente compra con estadía mayor en Bariloche donde permanecen siete días, Ushuaia seis días, El Calafate y Salta cinco, e Iguazú y Mendoza cuatro. El programa ha tenido un lindo lanzamiento. Aerolíneas Argentinas acompaña con una promoción que permite adquirir boletos con todas las tarjetas en tres o seis cuotas sin interés. Se trata de una política de Estado sumamente importante para desarrollar el turismo doméstico”, subrayó Fabián Lombardo.

El Sistema de Aterrizaje por Instrumentos (ILS) es un sistema de radionavegación de precisión que proporciona orientación de corto alcance a las aeronaves para permitirles acercarse a una pista por la noche o con mal tiempo. En su forma original, permite que una aeronave se acerque hasta que esté a 200 pies (61 m) sobre el suelo, dentro de una milla 1⁄2 (800 m) de la pista. En ese punto, la pista debe ser visible para el piloto; si no es así, realizan un enfoque perdido. Acercar la aeronave a la pista aumenta drásticamente el rango de condiciones climáticas en las que se puede realizar un aterrizaje seguro. Otras versiones del sistema, o categorías, han reducido aún más las altitudes mínimas, los Rangos Visuales de la Pista (RVR) y las configuraciones de transmisores y monitoreo diseñadas en función de los patrones climáticos normales esperados y los requisitos de seguridad del aeropuerto.

Flybondi ha estado capacitando e instruyendo las áreas de Operaciones y Mantenimiento para realizar procesos de adecuación para la homologación correspondiente de la Certificación para aterrizajes CAT 2. La prueba de validación del certificado ha demandado treinta vuelos para alcanzar la normativa de aviación.

Actualmente, la línea aérea low cost es alcanzada en las operaciones correspondientes en los aeropuerto como Ezeiza/EZE, Jorge Newbery/AEP, Rio/Galeão/GIG, São Paulo/GRU, entre otros. Con esta certificación, la aerolínea de presupuesto argentina permitirá cumplir con la normativa de seguridad aplicada al sistema de despegues/aterrizajes en condiciones meteorológicas desfavorables.

La agencia de la ANAC ha expresado el beneplácito de esta certificación para Flybondi Líneas Aéreas, lo que permitirá a la aerolínea incrementar la seguridad de sus vuelos en condiciones meteorológicas desfavorables, permitiendo aumentar la seguridad operativa como así también mejorar la puntualidad de sus vuelos.

The National Administration of Civil Aviation (ANAC) of Argentina has approved the granting to Flybondi Líneas Aéreas the authorization for Operations with Reduced Visibility ILS CAT II, ​​after a process to achieve aviation regulations, which will allow operations to be carried out in adverse weather conditions. of reduced visibility in airports enabled with CAT II.

The Instrument Landing System (ILS) is a precision radio navigation system that provides short-range guidance to aircraft to enable them to approach a runway at night or in bad weather. In its original form, it allows an aircraft to approach until it is 200 feet (61 m) above the ground, within a 1⁄2 mile (800 m) of the runway. At that point, the runway should be visible to the pilot; if not, they perform a lost focus. Bringing the aircraft closer to the runway dramatically increases the range of weather conditions in which a safe landing can be made. Other versions of the system, or categories, have further reduced minimum altitudes, Runway Visual Ranges (RVR), and transmitter and monitoring configurations designed based on expected normal weather patterns and airport security requirements.

Flybondi has been training and instructing the Operations and Maintenance areas to carry out adaptation processes for the corresponding homologation of the Certification for CAT 2 landings. The validation test of the certificate has required thirty flights to achieve aviation regulations.

Currently, the low cost airline is reached in the corresponding operations at airports such as Ezeiza/EZE, Jorge Newbery/AEP, Rio/Galeão/GIG, São Paulo/GRU, among others. With this certification, the Argentine budget airline will allow it to comply with the safety regulations applied to the takeoff/landing system in unfavorable weather conditions.
